My pit times always range from 7.1-7.3, never gone below 7.1.

I've set myself a new goal. I am going to get my times on each track quicker to be in the top 800 AT LEAST, I think the top 300 might be plausable in some tracks, it's a shame that the leaderboards have screwed up because of that timing glitch though.

Oh and just to add, I could have got the fastest lap at Interlagos as my best prior to the race had been a 1:10.669, which was 2 tenths quicker than the fastest lap that Shaggy set down, but oh well.

Oh! I know this is off topic, but the UFC 2009 demo is freakin' AWESOME!! :D I'm definitly getting that when it comes out, i'll probably sell WWE to get it. Maybe we could set up an Online Roster/Brand/Clan for that so we have Championship matches and normal rights each week etc.

Yep 6.9 is my best as well and have only ever done that once. Usually anything between 7.2-7.5 for me :)

Nice to know I can do something as fast as you fishfash :D  I average 7.1-7.3 :sly:

They key is learning what you can hit immediately and what doesn't matter. Once you do the fuel and first round of tires as soon as the front wheels go on you can hit R@/L2 for the rears immediately every time. That's what got me from around 7.8-8 to 7.3/7.4 . Still haven't hit 7.0 yet though.

Mine are usually 7.1-7.2 almost every time without fail with the odd 7.0 thrown in there. If I do it any slower it's usually by a good bit, like a 7.6 or 7.7, hardly ever do 7.4s or 7.5s.

Weirdly I find the G25 faster for pitstops by a couple of tenths somehow. In the whole scheme of things though pitstop times don't matter much unless they're atrociously slow.

Coun't me in as a sub-7er as well.:D

Unfortunately, I was a little too quick with the left-rear tireman on my last pitstop during last nights race and paid for it.:ouch: D'OH!:dunce::guilty:

You are so right, a couple of tenths don't mean a thing..........a 6.9 stop just sounds cool :D

(Yes I am loving the fact I could use Damon Hill pictures for all the champions, lol :D )

Well, thats it, season is officially over! Amazingly, in both regions the championship has been very close and I am pleased that we have had so many drivers who turned up consistently. Not to say those who couldn't turn up to more or left half way through weren't good but its nice to have some consistencey in the drivers.

I have compiled a few stats (which I may continue to update as I work them out) for our season end:

So, quite an interesting season, I think it says a lot that both drivers who turned up the most (Kakundoo and FastDuck - both turned up to 100% of the races) were contenders for the championship. Generally, those that finished high on the leaderboards were those that have been with us for most of the season, but not completely everyone. I have to say that both HEMIata and kingmart1n could have been contenders for the championship if they had been here from the start, and they caught everyone else up pretty fast in the remaining races they entered.

We've had a few laughs, a few arguments but hopefully plenty of fun! It was a pleasure organising this and I will organise similar ones again in future.

I hope to use this championship as a great example for future ones in other games, one only needs to look at the tables to see consistencey in a good turn out are highly rewarding and the championship went down to the last race in both regions! Couldn't be happier with this result thankyou all for driving like greats! 👍

When GT5 comes around, I will certainly be looking up some of the names here up for championships I will be starting and teams I will be entering. My dream is to finally organise a 24 hour race or an endurance series in Gran Turismo online one day (or maybe even an F1 championship, lol), so when I finally get a chance to do that, people here will certainly get first choice.

The NTSC Championship and the limited numbers also made me think about feeder championships and the rules about who gets to drive and who doesn't, when it gets to GT5 there will be far larger numbers of players wanting to join and although we will probably have more than 10 players per race a restructure of the championship would be needed, possibly incorporating the GTP Divisions. I will lastly say thanks very much to Suede53 for taking the time he did to run the brief GP2 Championship, it was still a success even if few people turned up at the time.

Another time we need to appreciate you, Ardius, for all your hard work. Hopefully see you on-line on GT5P soon, raced with you at Suzuka once.

Yup, I should be returning to playing GT5P again now, once my exams are over or when I have a break. That and FC.

All hail Ardius, King of the Organisers! lol, I'm sure you'd do a much better job than Bernie Ecclestone any day

Woooo! Most 2nd places! And me and Shaggy both got the same number of podiums as did Fastduck and Racecar!

Brilliant job Ardius, as always. I just wish I could have turned up for a lot more of them but sadly circumstances forced me to never be near the PS3 on a Sunday evening after I started back at college. :(
However I'm still happy with my 8th place overall. :) And I'm free from now and all summer long, so hint hint, anyone up for another? Bit soon yet!

Oh and congratulations to both Shaggy and Kakundoo in the PAL region
And FastDuck and RACECAR in the NTSC region. 👍

Thanks GT :D, I'm most definitly up for one in the summer and I propose that we have our first race in Bahrain start on the 21st June, then the final race will be on my birthday lol.

June? :scared:
A few months at least lol. But by all means if you want to get into it again so early, theres nothing to stop you organising it yourself :P

I think we need some time to have a whole PAL grid going, "Yes, I want to race."

Having a break is good. I suggest mid August, the F1 season will be in full flight and we should gain some interest from that.

I must say, our champs in both divisions have a rather striking resemblance;)

Congratulations to Fastduck or ZERODUCK as I know him. Ask him to show ya'll his award certificate I made for him :) I was the one who originally convinced him to buy the game in order to compete in a tournament I hosted last year. My apologies to all his competitors :)

On another note, I vaguely remember seeing something about Sony shutting down the F1CE servers sometime next month. I may be old, but my memory isn't that bad. Has something changed along those lines ?

Oh, and by the way .... if you do have an F1 tournament in GT5, please count me in :)

Heh interesting, FastDuck you're banned from future championships till you show us this! :P

Yes, its true, the F1:CE NTSC servers are being shutdown next month (someone here will have the date). Its not known when the PAL servers will be shutdown.

Oh and I appreciate the comments, ANFD. But of course, any F1 championship in GT5 will no doubt end up on a first-come, first serve basis and as I've said, some thought would have to be put into building a series structure, perhaps as we've already tried with a GP2 type championship (which seemed to work) or a combination of that and divisions. But yeah, lol, my list of drivers to ask is getting big, of course you will be on it :)

If it's unknown when the PAL servers will be shutdown, then I propose we get a new Championship underway quickly :D lol.
I still think we should start it on the 21st June. Not only would my exams be over, but on the 18th of October, we would race in Interlagos, it would be my birthday and prior to our race on that date, we would all have watched the race in Brazil :D lol.

Kak, if you really want to race, theres nothing to stop you organising it yourself. ;)

But otherwise you will have to wait, lol, because I'd like a break :P
