Yeah man rest is good. Me and GVX(already on team) arent going for the team so that takes away 2 of the top 3 times so you'll get in with the 787b.

I think you should have time.

Try my idea of entering the times into Excel in total seconds, but the most important thing is write down the total time given at the end of the race - then it doesn't matter if you screw the addition up.

Might be worth saving the replay too.

Dude - Zerocool and I had some luck pitting on 3 and 6 - you save time on the in-laps (although your lap 4 in time was pretty solid).

Need to turn those 11's into 10's!

Thanks GVX! I've never really gave the analog steering a fair chance. Acording to your race time I should look into it. Because I never had analog for GT2 I had mastered the regular controller. When I got PS2 I Tried the analog controller but found my thumb slipped of too easy. So i dismissed the idea of mastering it, I also figured i was just as fast with out it. I believe I am just as fast without it but the reason I'm not (as fast) in this race is the extra tire wear caused by the constant tapping of the d-pad. I love and have mastered the analog throttle and brakes. Those also help to smooth my driving and be more efficient on tires but apparently i'm really missing out by not using analog steering at least in a race that includes tire wear.

I believe that everyone that tried was capable of beating my time I have a fastest lap of 1'09.5 something, and so did many other people. So it is not a question of whether or not you guys have the speed it is a question of if you have the disipline! Notice none of my laps in my best race even contained a 1'10. GVX did contain a 1'10 but like he said it was also very smooth. Even so it may have hurt his later lap times.
This speech is probably too late any way, seeing that the following race doesn't have tire wear so you may drive flat out!

You are quite right, Villeneuve - in my attempts, my best was about 1'09'6..something, but it was a matter of being disciplined and smooth - it almost felt at times when turning hard I was hurting the car!

Must say though the 1'09.6 did kill the tyres though...

Yeah i know. I tried pitting on lap 3 and 6 but ended up pitting on 3 and 7. Still did pretty good though. Managed to pull out a nice best lap for my self(in bold).

right first of all you put in them dodgy times before and you got the benefit of the doubt that your times where submitted incorrectly , and i said run them again hmmm ! seemed fair enough to me but you have obviously not listened to one thing that was said to you and you went and done it again man i said run the race properly and post your times , no ! you went and done the same thing by wallriding your way round the course for at least 5-6 laps ! and i know this as i just tried it with no pitts and after the tyres are red raw at the end of lap 5 the 787 is dying to go into every wall on every bend ! if you brake to take them your laps gonna be over a 1.20 and if you dont you can smack the wall hold a line and power out but not with awesome laps but enough to throw in a time like you posted , i had one attempt at your way of racing and my time was a 12.49.... and my last 5 laps were averaging a 1.15-18 , well i've said my bit now please reply and tell me i'm wrong ! coz other than that ! i am not going to consider you as a valid applicant for these events , lap 7 red raw tyres and you get a 1.11... ?? i dont think so !! dream on man !

to all you other guys please test this strategy and post the times you get ! but try and do it without wallriding as i said and if your times can be improved thanx this is a test so no official posts this way

ok guys i made an alteration to race 2 and hope you haven't put a lot of time into it ! i have changed the course to midfield reverse and my reason for this is , i want the next 2 courses to show potential through courses that have no possible advantage gained through wall riding , i'm not saying it was being done but times were getting out of hand on that course and a track like rome would just bring the same kind of problems , i hope you's will understand my move and get stuck into the next event ! and best of luck to you all

On the first set of tires I was conservative and on the second set I was conservative for the first lap but then I realized that I was behind GVX so I pused it for the next 2 laps and ended up killing my tires on the last lap.

Good call on changing the Zonda track to Midfield II I hit the first turn on Rome II on every single lap, I could never find the right spot to brake, good call

Well, I didnt wall ride! Its called no pit stop! Dont even say you cant do a race with no stop! I HAPPEN TO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE ON THIS GAME! Also if you get mad on pit stops, say there needs to be a mandatory one! I think you guys are scared to loose!

A mandatory pit stop? Everyone has to pit because no one can go 10 laps, hell no one can go 7 laps on a set of tires and not get into the 1:20's. GVX, and mr persistance are the 2 best racers on this board so I think they know a little more than you do. I personally believe that you are full of crap! No one here is scared to loose but if the 2 best racers on this board and myself, one of the best racers on the board, think your time is false and we have proof that no one can go 10 laps on a set of tires. And your race 2 time is obbvisouly fake
