Sony A7 | Voigtländer Heliar II 15mm f/4.5

I like this picture, any particular reason why you chose for this to be in black and white? I think it would be interesting to see how this would look in color.

Thank you. 👍

Usually, when i have strong light/shadows and also strong geometric elements (like the sharp angles and perspective lines), I like to keep the image in b&w, so that these elements can stand out more.

If/when I get the time, I'll try a colour version and post it here, so that you can let me know what you think.

Here's a color version, @Crash:

Thanks for humoring me and posting the color version as well. I see what you mean about the black and white letting the strong lines and shadow contrast stand out more. I was curious because in my mind, I saw three colors, white, gray and blue, and I was expecting the blue sky to be a lighter, whiter blue, and I thought it would have been interesting to see how the visual dominance of those 3 (2.5) colors would look with the strong lines segregating them.

Really love that last one. That guy poking into frame and the father and child spoil the shot.

That would look really nice at a really quiet part of the day with minimal people stood around.

Definitely agree. The people there ruin the mood. I'm not sure clone-stamping them out was possible - I did not try it.

Thanks for the input. 👍

I agree.

Messing with a very good image is sometimes a waste of time which can be spent back out taking more images.

@35mm - have you played around with the vertical adjustment at all in LR, to counter the barrel distortion in 1459 for e.g.?
I have not.

As a side note:

Lr's "Vertical" and "Horizontal" adjustments are for "Perspective Distortion". These only involve straight lines and it's all a matter of correcting perspective (3D projected onto 2D). It has nothing to do with lens optics.

The "Distortion" adjustment is what can be used for barrel/pincushion ("Optical Distortion"). These are deformation of straight lines into curved ones, and are due to optical aberrations.
