As far as Car choice, here are the implications since MRC and ICGTC are in the same semi-final lobby:

Team #5: Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2 (MRC) picks first between the following three GT-Rs or they can select a Lexus:

• Nissan YellowHat YMS TOMICA GT-R 08
• Nissan Xanavi NISMO GT-R 08
• Nissan Calsonic IMPUL GT-R 08

After MRC picks from these, Team #6: Intercontinental GT500 Championship Season Two (ICGTC) will pick from the remaining two GT-Rs or select a Lexus.

Yes, the brackets are interesting to say the least... but it would have been interesting no matter how it turned out. In case any of you want to watch a replay the streaming of the random bracket selection use the following link:

Of course you'll have to fast forward through the first 5 minutes which is basically the 5 minute countdown timer.

@Wardez: I got your PM and forwarded it to Speedy6543 who may stream the 2nd lobby. I haven't had a chance to review it myself as I've been swamped. I'll assume you are streaming Semi-Final Lobby A which includes PURE and the final? If that's correct we'll try to get Speedy to stream Semi-Final Lobby B. And who knows maybe we'll have dual streams of the final.

should make an announcement & make this inter league famous on gtp & have lots of spectators on the live stream. it'll be great!.. & other peopple will see that gtp is + organizing an event betweeen other leagues & streaming it live.. it'll go far imo.. lots spectators + more attention from everywhere not only gtp but maybe also gets some attention at the polyphony HQ they might spectate someday

Nobody really wants the Lexus, even with the turbo, so we allowed double ups on the GT-Rs but set it up so there are no duplicate cars in the semi finals. I would rather that then force someone to use a Lexus or go to the extreme of a one make race.

Any team could still switch to a Lexus if they prefer.

Not a problem.

We also need to bring up the topic of penalties and infractions. The most important point being we have to keep any system as simple and clear cut as possible. We have to count on the participants being fair and honest in order for this event to be a success. All the drivers on the list have reputations here at GTPlanet as do the series they are representing and we're confident blatant cheating or dirty driving will not be an issue.

However, it's still prudent to have ground rules and deterrents. Therefore 3D3 Racing reserves the right to apply penalties for clear and obvious infractions as determined by appointed race marshals. Those penalties could include anything from minor point deductions to driver disqualification to full team disqualification.

Semi-Final

The scoring system for the semi-final round only counts points from the top 3 drivers for each team. However, to deter any unfair tactics by the 4th driver on each team, penalties from all four drivers will be deducted from the team total for that round.

We have a very short window of time between rounds so we will not have a chance to perform a thorough review of the semi-final replay before deciding which teams advance. However, marshals will make an effort to review major reported incidents that had a substantial impact on the outcome. After the event 3D3 Racing will perform a full review and any clear and obvious cheating or dirty tactics will result in a team's result being invalidated after the event.

Final

3D3 Racing will publish the preliminary results immediately following the final round, but those results will not be considered final until there has been a full review of all replays and an investigation of any reported incidents by race marshals. All reviews will be complete and the results final by Friday December 9th. Teams should each save their own replays and report any obvious incidents to 3D3 Racing within 24 hours of the event. Only obvious infractions will be reviewed and considered.

3D3 Racing will be announcing race marshals in the next week. The initial plan is to have two race marshals observe the racing live from each lobby which will give them the ability to save the replay for immediate review (if necessary).
