SPA was easy, causing a pile up right at the pit entrance, now Sarthe is the one thats killing me, any tips?

It's getting me too 👎 maybe Lv.32 is too low for it:/

Lap 4/10 in a minolta @ La Sarthe B-Spec

Leading. Secret: Sports Softs:D

EDIT: Disaster after the AI pitted for R-Inters:grumpy: 6/12 @ lap 5/10

For Sarthe I used the R8 after failing with 2 other cars.

I pitted at the end of lap 3 for intermediate tires. It was easy to move up to 3rd, but the 2 R8s were running together up front and every time I had a passing opportunity they were side-by-side. :grumpy:

Finally on lap 8 they got together and one of them spun. Bob managed to avoid the spun car and moved to second. I kept Bob running just at the bottom of the red and he caught the leader just as he dove into the pits. But I didn't pit. I stayed out and took a huge lead. Buuuut... My rear tires went from almost half to zero in one lap. I won by 1 second. If the finish line was 100 feet farther I'd have lost.

So beware not pitting at the end. Your tires will wear out FAST.

If those 2 R8s weren't running together keeping each other hot, and blocking the track Bob could have taken the lead on the track.

Hurrah!! Finally some races that let us use our paid for DLC. Liking this a lot. :)👍

I used the ARTA NSX '06 tuned to PP 600, no turbo and aero set at 60/51.QUOTE]

I used the same car, tuned to 600, no turbo upgrade. Mine was at 602, added a little ballast to get it to 600. No other settings changed.

My Bob is at Level 31. Started with Racing Intermediate tires.
By Lap 5, I was in 6th, making sure Bob didn't overheat, kept him just a little above the mid point.

By lap7, the 5 cars ahead of me pitted, I skipped it. Never pitted.
Held on til the end, keeping Bob sane. Rear tires would've gave way after 10th lap, but you can make it.

I used the ARTA NSX '06 tuned to PP 600, no turbo and aero set at 60/51.

I used the older model ('03 was it?) full downforce, oil change and Stage 3 Tuning, though I had to dial down the HP to meet the requirements.

I was 1st by the time I reached Rivage (between Turns 8 and 9), then again, my B-Spec Bob is Level 40 :sly:

By the time the race was over, I was almost a full lap ahead of everyone.

Jesus, the AI in this game has surely been programmed by a team of monkeys. So on B-Spec SPA, I am coming in to pit in 2nd place on lap 7, the 1st place guy decides to spin at the pit entrance blocking everything. The AI cars (including mine) decide to ram into him for 10 minutes and he finally becomes unstuck and heads into the pits, by that time my monkey has been battered so far off the pit entrance he might as well be in Tokyo, he finally enters the pit in 11th place after everybody else has been and pitted and done nearly another full lap.

Good job PD. 👎:dunce:

Used the Calsonic Impul GT-R(P) for Spa, forgot how I set it up but the important thing is I used Rain: Intermediate tires then didn't let my Bob pit (7th lap). lead by 22secs :D

Will now try Sarthe.

So looking forward to race these one's, but my last day at work is preventing me....

my bobs have nightvision lol
Juist won the bspec la sarthe in the chapparal 2J race car
that's right a 653pp car from the 70's
i did one pitstop lap 3, my second bob even crashed once in lap 9 while in the lead.
The 2J's fan system did all the work, saving my intermediates.
lol

What is your setup for the 2j? What tyres did your start on?

Just won Spa in a Mugen NSX with a Lv26 bod, intermediates from the start, changed to Hards lap 8....now for Sarthe.....gulp:-/

Just did Spa with Raybrig NSX. I skipped pitting and hoped to see the pit disaster too but unfortunately it didn't happen.

Now for Sarthe I think the R35 TC would be a good choice, dunno about tactics but I'll test that car and let you know if it works.

EDIT: Turned out to be an alright choice, bit slow on dry but great in the rain and after. Skipped second pit and won by 6 seconds.

spa is an easy win, even with no inputs and letting bob pit at 8th lap

i used lamborghini NOMAD, 521 cv 600 pp, aero 30/52, transmission set to 300 km/h

Yep, miraculously, this was the way for me to win too. I have been trying this race all day with no success, until I saw your post. The 2J worked like a champ with just the default setup.

B-Spec @ SPA
Xanavi Nismo with Turbo level 3 downtuned with power limited to exactly 600pp.
Started with Racing Intermediates with my lvl 35 hot bob. Kept him in the red zone, by 4th lap he was in 1st.
Race started with 30% humidity, got down to 20% and started raining again.
Got up to 42% and stopped raining again and it plunged down to 20% by the end.
WARNING: By lap 7 bob will suddenly pit, stop it if you see it in time and you`'ll win with over 30sec advantage!

the 2j race car 70 wins the sarth on one set of sports softs with zero pits by over 30 seconds. I know I couldn't believe it either. tires still were at 45 ish percent across the finish line.

tranny top speed 230 -the car will hit 220ish on straights.
ride height -10/-10
every thing else default.
653pp 764 hp

took the lead on the second or third lap when they all pit. then i hit pace up several times to keep him off full calm. just into the red was what i was aiming for . he never crashed or spun out. holding a 5 second lead until they all pit again on the 9th lap then it was over.
I didn't even have to cancel any pit stops.

level 37 bob.

update;

after race changed the oil and got 653pp but now with 809hp.
repeated and between their pits my guy fell to 5th and only finished second.
repeated setup again and this time won huge. 22 second lead when they pited on lap 9
sports soft from the start keep him in the lead or less than 15 seconds down between their pitstops laps 4-9.

Thank you! I'll definitely try that! My Bobs have been very frustrating driving the PoorJoe 908 Race Car and not winning after TWO tries! :ouch: That's 40 minutes x 2! :grumpy:

How in the....I did the same setup, and keeping it barely into the red and my tires are half worn after 1 1/2 laps

My first try @ La Sarthe B-Spec.
Peugeot 908 HDi FAP tuned to max then downtuned to 1000kg and engine limiter to match 700pp.
Started with angry lvl36 bob and a set of hard tyres, pited on lap 3 for intermediates and a driver change.
Had issues all race long, running between 7th and 5th.
By the 9th lap, entering 10th lap stupid lvl 35 cool bob decieded to pit for no reason, cancelled that. Everyone had pitted so bob managed a temporary 1st place.
And he spun, stupid bob finished 7th for that fact.
Going to try now with the 2J starting in intermediates and no stops.

Yessss the 787b stealth works pit in with the others and change to inter front sport soft back and skip last change and win by about 7 seconds

lvl 35 driver
