so that revengel guy was actually up front in that vid, huyler ?

Yes, that was his first race and I think he stayed out front the entire time. He only started complaining when he got relegated to the back and had to work through traffic.

I hope the few times that I can join in a race with you guys, I don't drive like a pubber.

Had a good time racing on Rome last night, then sucked on Suzuka w/ that '97 Camaro. Need some more tuning with that guy.

I always attempt to race cleanly as possible.

Nice vid, I can see perfectly how my S2000 got pushed into the sand. :D On my favourite track, too. :ouch:

I've tended to race in smaller rooms and have a habit of trying to pass (or at least keep pace) on the outside of corners. In a bigger room this tactic might not be too successful, even if people are being as clean as they can.

One nice thing about public rooms is there's often a wide range of skill so you're usually just trying to stay alive until the herd gets thinned out, usually by turn 2 or 3. :D

Twitter was entertaining during that fiasco. I was already following the 2, 22, 29, 48, 88, Danica, Franchitti, Power, Penske Racing, and Paul Tracy. Much better commentary than ol' Dee-Dubya.

Best tweet of the night was a retweet by Jesse James. It was an ad for a slightly used dually.

Reminder that tonight I'm going to try the parity racing again. 450 PP, no adjustable downforce.

I'll try to join...looks like you have a good crowd tonight.👍

@Grenade // If you can make the silvia handle...it can be a monster!I retuned mine and I pulled a 1:16.8 at rome reverse (450 SS).

Sorry I won't be able to make it tonight. :( Forgot I had a couple of things I needed to finish.

esh
diabolic talks about you all the time. He was genuinely worried about your whereabouts. :scared:

pure jealousy that your whereabouts don't interest me. dateline maybe, but not me.

Hi guys, I'm heading to Utah for some skiing over the next few days. Carry on without me.

Been giving this tournament a little more thought. I'm thinking, drivers will be limited to using each make/model/gen just once through the whole season. Pick the right car for the right track and save those really quick ones for when you need them. That'll force drivers to really expand their garage beyond the old favorites. If we restricted drivers to just one car, I think the racing would get old after just a few races.

If they have a solid network connection that does not interfere with the North American driver's race quality then they are welcome. We have a few that drop in from time to time.

So, I'm thinking about buying a truck. Can anyone guess what this is?

Looks like an old Datsun. Late 70's by chance? If it's a true California vehicle you shouldn't have a big issue with rust.

My grandfather used to have a Chevy Luv with a 383, Turbo 400 and 9" rear end. Thanks to a drunk driver, the operative phrase in the last sentence is, "used to".

Mazda rotary.
Correct. '75 REPU (Rotary Engine Pick Up)

I was looking at 1st gen RX-7s but couldn't find one I liked, then I remembered seeing one of these at a car meet and it got tons of attention. I looked at a beat up REPU that was local and decided it was going to take too much to restore. Parts are hard to come by on the east coast....in fact they don't exist unless the part is interchangeable with an RX-7. So instead, I'm getting an appraisal/pre-purchase inspection done on the one above in California that's already been restored. If all goes well I'll have it shipped home. I'll drive it for a while and then tear down the engine for a street port and some other mods. I'm thinking engine stage 3, sports intake, and RS tires LOL. J/K.

Rotary engine in a truck? I know none of these little trucks were expected to carry/tow the heaviest of loads but, a high revving engine in a truck seems counterintuitive. Unless of course, like the GMC Syclone, the only thing this truck was meant to haul is ass.
