You ran a clean race! A well diserved win. I think I was about 3.5 seconds back when I finally stopped battling Nic for 2nd. I got within 1/2 a second but made some mistakes and kept falling back to 2 seconds behind where I could actually see some of the road in front of me.

The last race on the full Chamonix course was a blast. I think everyone had their shot at the lead. i was going to record some races, but you really can't see the action with the white-out conditions.

The closer you are to the car in front of you, the more you can see.

I had to build a new Focus. :grumpy: The one I was using last night is finally to the point where its getting broken in and to get it under 450pp I have to use the engine limiter to the point the turbos are almost useless. That last race was turbo 2 and the engine at 88%.

Well, if you are on their bumper, you can see fine, but drop back 5/10ths and you might as well drop back 2 seconds. The visibility is pretty unrealistic. The snow needs to be translucent, not flat white.

Maybe if we were in 18 wheelers with no mud flaps...but I've driven in plenty of snow storms and unless it's pitch dark and the snow is coming down 2" per hour, you can see the car in front of you just fine.

With that said, the fact that GT5 has these tracks in the game is a nice refreshing break from tarmac racing. That's something Forza and Shift2 cannot provide.

The Volvo I used in the last race was quick. I think it was 275hp. The mini and the VWs I used before that were all 250 hp or less.

Good point. Maybe next we can try RWD Coupes on a custom gravel track?

We did a dirty-muscle car night once. I set up some tracks ahead of time including a few ovals. It didn't go over very well since most drivers figured out that riding the edges of the track was faster than actually turning. After a few races, we just put boost on to encourage a little more battling but even that didn't help much.

Don't forget the Muscle Cars on Rally tracks night.

That was fun coming down the backside of Eiger. Nick and Huyler out front. Diabolic, Booch and myself in a battle with the walls. It was like a ball of muscle cars coming down that hill on the backside.

LOL, "Dukes of Hazzard" night. I think we end up putting boost on, but it's always hillarious when you put the muscle cars on dirt.

Jump to 2:00 in this video for some muscle mayhem.

The one I was thinking of was on 9/26 on Eiger Norwand K Trail.

Edit:
I no longer have the replay. I accidentally deleted all my replays in late October.

Anyone looking for some shuffle racing tonight? I'll have a room open around 9:30.

Any preference on the base level and the other option (whose name I can't remember right now)?

I like all the ranges. Alternating between 350 and 600pp. You get a good variety of cars that way.

I have the most fun under 400. Over 400 and drivers start making mistakes. It becomes more about staying on the track than racing wheel to wheel. I think we were at 380 the other night and there was quite a variety. Keep the ratio between 1-3. Go higher than that and you won't be racing each other anymore.

Chuyler I watched the replay again from La Sarthe. I don't think I've ever seen snap oversteer like that.

How about no-tune open 450 racing tonight? Usual time.

I mean, if that's doable. I'm researching.
