Chuyler I watched the replay again from La Sarthe. I don't think I've ever seen snap oversteer like that.

Yeah, I must have had a tire off the track or something. The car just spun around. I typically don't rage quit but that was my last race of the night and we had a good battle going up front before the car just spun around. Le Sarthe isn't my best track anyway and I barely know my way around the older layout.

I'm on tonight for some VCRC racing. I was thinking later this week we could do a spec night with the cars from the recommended garage.

With garris taking the week off from parity racing, does anyone feel like racing tomorrow night 4/3/12? I'm not picky on the car types or restrictions of any kind, just some good clean open racing.

We could run the parity series without garris, if he's ok with that.

Heck yeah, I"m okay with that.

Though, with the Snail races being cancelled this coming Sunday, I may be free on Tuesday. I was hoping to hang out this Tuesday in the lounge with Devious and crew just to see what I could learn.

Mind you, even if I do come this Tuesday, that doesn't mean I have to run it.

for parity tonight:
perhaps something in the 400 - 420 range to start? I was thinking the type R Civic or Integra. thoughts?

for tracks I'm a fan of running autumn ring, perhaps the big grand valley, trial mountain....original circuits

Parity. If garris can send me his spreadsheet, I'll marshal.

Edit: How about the '04 Integra Type R? If we agree, garris can update the parity thread.

I haven't raced in the parity with you guys. Would I be able to join tonight?

I think they are going to do it in my lounge. Send me a FR and I'll log in shortly and accept it.

omg...I goofed and went to home depot with the misses. For some reason I was thinking it was wednesday... :ouch: Instead of playing, I spent time outside...felt weird. Sweet basil, btw, smells awesome.

So the REPU came in.

The shippers made a mess of the interior. White pleather + greasy driver = pissed off owner. They also killed the battery and flooded the engine so I had to help push it off the truck. Not the best experience.

Anyway, I got it running after pulling the plugs to flush out the extra fuel. The body is immaculate and the previous owner did a wonderful job chrome plating just about everything on the exterior. The engine bay is a little dirty but almost everything is there and the engine runs strong. I think the emmissions stuff has been removed which isn't a big deal. The exhaust only consists of a header, silencer, and single muffler. The pipe doesn't even make it to the tail of the truck. It is really loud below 3,000 rpm so I'll have to alleviate that before any long road trips. The interior isn't quite 100% like I expected. The radio and heater aren't hooked up and the dash lights don't work. The turn signals stop working after a few blinks. The choke isn't connected either which makes cold starts a little rough. This is all minor stuff that I can work through on my own. Had I known ahead of time, I probably would have docked a little more off my asking price, but I low balled him by $3,500 anyway so I shouldn't complain.

The worst issue is the hydraulic clutch is losing pressure and engaging by itself. I've already bled it and adjusted it for more travel but if you hold it in long enough it eventually will catch and start moving the truck (or cause it to stall). The seller replaced the slave cylinder a few weeks ago but I think the master cylinder needs to be replaced too. It's pretty easy to access so it'll be a quick job. I've already been underneath to replace the speedometer cable. The seller gave me the part because he didn't have time to do it himself.

So it looks like I've got my hands full with some projects. On top of that, my wife decided to adopt a chihuahua/mix. She suckered me into saying yes because I bought the truck. He is an interesting addition to the family since we already have a greyhound...but he isn't house trained yet despite being 8 months old.

Anyway, if you haven't seen me online, that's why. I'll get back into racing soon enough though. I can't put it down for more than a few weeks before I get the itch.

The seats wiped off right?! I don't know why that is the only thing that bothers me.

No, so far I have only been able to get about 85% of it off. There are still dirty halos and I need to steam clean the carpet to remove the grease.

You got one of those Mr. Clean magic erasers? They work wonders! It took wood stain off of vinyl siding.

Interested in this. Do I just check this thread for the lobby #?

There's not racing everynight anymore but when there is the number will be posted here.
