Tsukuba was actually challenging for me, tried with stock civic 91' and came 4th. Then Integra type r dc2 413pp and won, but it wasn't a sunday drive, passed 1st in last lap.
How many pp you used on tsukuba?

tsukuba is quite challenging under 400pp

Hello all. Here's a good car to use. The Spoon Civic Type R (EK) '00. I gave it an oil change and new rims ('cause I could). I then gave it 110 kg.(left at 0) to mimic the Gathers Drider CIVIC Race Car '98, and powered down to 171hp (1 more than said civic tuned down) to get 400pp; no other tuning. The last race was a little tough due to the tall trans., but it was fun. Cape Ring was easiest and probably can be done at 380pp.

Stunned to see the screen shot earlier of someone NOT at level 40 aspec. What?

Are you serious, or just trolling? My A-Spec is only 32, but you shouldn't let that fool you as this is my second account. A lot of people here have more than one to fulfill the requirements of some of the racing leagues.

I just won the Daytona race using the Eagle Talon at 390pp. Total time was 5:08.51 with a margin of victory of .180. I took the lead halfway through lap 4 but the other guy stayed with me until the end. Got an extra 261,360 credits for the performance difference bonus.

I just added the fully adjustable suspension, all weight reduction, ECU and I believe all 3 stages of engine upgrade. Then dialed it back to 390 with the power limiter. Didn't do any suspension tuning or anything.

Also won pretty easily at the Autumn Ring as well but I think the pp was around 414 or something. I forgot to set it first :sly:

Cape Ring is ridiculously easy. Did it in the Polo Cup car (the newer of the two) and won by 25 seconds with it tuned at 400 PP exactly.

Eiger kart? That's tough. I tried it with the CRZ TC (failed), and the Polo Cup (Failed) and the Integra RM that you win from this (owned already and failed once again). I for my 4th try used a Honda CR-Z with 200 kg added and at 400 PP. I have no idea why but the hard race became ridiculously easy as the CR-Z was extremely obedient and I passed the lead car at the end of lap 6 of 7.

Daytona? That one may be impossible for me. The CR-Z can power to 4th in 2 laps but then the lead trio are too far away to catch and I finish 5 seconds behind constantly. I tried laying back but while the AI loves to draft off of you and pass you they seem to have no interest in actually moving while you draft off of them and (idiotically) press the brake in order to spin themselves out.

I hope you mean Cape Ring.

Daytona was quite fun :D tried a lupo gti cup first, just not enough grunt.

Then I tried a custom tuned Fiat Barchetta '00 401pp and was blown away by how good it was. Won with 9.4seconds to spare and could hold 145-150mph in the corners depending on draft.

Its also possible (not sure why) that the AI style changes when you switch cars, but NOT when you restart. I noticed that the drafting style was different when I used the CR-Z vs. the Integra. What was also perplexing is the fact that overall at Eiger Kart I ran a slower overall lap (1.07 vs. 1.06 prior) and won (as opposed to the 1.06 where I was losing).

How did the AI group together? That seems to be the key.

With the lupo gti cup I was aiming to beat a Fiat Coupe. Switched to the Fiat Barchetta and a Focus ST was up front! thought I was doomed but it was all smooth sailing, drafting one car to the next.

Never tried the Fiat yet. With the CR-Z I got to 4th but the AI from 5th-12th had no interest in drafting and the AI from 1st-3rd had no interest in screwing up.

just finished mine..used a fiat coupe turbo plus and the integra rm..and afterwards i got another integra rm lol:lol: anyway i really like the seasonals of the last few weeks and the nurburgring b-spec, the ferrari time trail..its a fantastic change from the usuall PP races..keep it going PD:tup:

Cape Ring is so easy. I think it's the only track where you can use really low PP's and still win. I just won 974,465 (200%) credits with my 379PP CR-Z. Only took 2 and a half laps to get first, so I think 350PP or even less is possible too.

Edit: Didn't realise someone has already done it with 305PP. :(

Added some weight to the Barchetta, down to 395pp and still an easy win on daytona. In 1st on lap 3, win with 9 seconds to spare, good thing weight barely affects top speed.

Some bigger gaps to close but, the fiat is just consistently faster, so I can catch up in no time.

Update: still won with max weight added, down to 388pp/ this little car is great!

The great thing about these is that I can try out cars I've never used. Keep up the good work PD!

380pp Fiat 500, Tsukuba was only able to get to 3rd position, on cape ring without any change to setup easily 10 seconds lead and won.. Gonna do rest of them to gold, then start to cut off PP and see how low i can go and still win. And then go a bit further. :sly:

I used a pretty much stock '96 honda prelude sir. Changed just the oil and tires (400 pp) for 4 of the races. Used a modded prius for cape ring (369 pp) was awarded 1.2mill, the prize is only 181k. Apparently if you go even further below 400 the prize can more than double, even with the login bonus factored in.

Don't be stunned. I read somewhere that 1.5 million users who play GT5 regularly aren't at A-Spec Level 40. Cheers!

Whats the maximum credits anyone has managed to obtain with a low PP car?
(In a single race)

I've got 1.525 million cr. in Cape Ring with a Mini Cooper S '11 95 CV 1170 KG. I only got to first place in the last corner and had to play dirty before the finish line.

According to Famine's calculations, you would need to be running about 297pp to obtain these credits with a 110% bonus log in.

300PP will do it.

Base prize: 181,600cr
110% login bonus: 199,760cr
6.6% of base prize (11,985) x 130PP = 1,558,127cr

199,760cr + 1,558,127cr = 1,757,887cr

not really sure how to upload pics... hope it works

Create a photobucket or similar account and link them to here from there!

Prius TC. No oil change, lowest downforce, 200 kg ballast around 20 towards the back, Engine Limiter 50% giving somewhere round 365 PP. Won everything except Daytona quite easily and around $4-5,000,000 for all 5 events I believe. Switched to a FTO GP-R with some ballast for Daytona, around 390 PP and won that.

My mistake. I thought it looked about right, but I must have forgotten to add the 110% part in somewhere. I'm still trying to work out what the best possible car is and so far haven't found anything better than the Polo. Since I was so close at 299pp before, I'm just going to tweak my set up and drive my ass off. Only needed about a few car lengths last time. Sure is a challenge though. Congrats on getting down to 300pp.
