My mistake. I thought it looked about right, but I must have forgotten to add the 110% part in somewhere. I'm still trying to work out what the best possible car is and so far haven't found anything better than the Polo. Since I was so close at 299pp before, I'm just going to tweak my set up and drive my ass off. Only needed about a few car lengths last time. Sure is a challenge though. Congrats on getting down to 300pp.

thanks... you should try the prius... its pretty straight forward.

you spend the first half of the race flying past everyone and then the 2nd half your battery (or whatever) runs out and you just have to hope they don't catch you... i think at the beginning i was doing 2min flat and my last lap was like 2min 13sec (or something like that)

Like the event. Not fond of FF cars, but being forced to use one wasn't that bad really. The Spoon CRZ (Glitch suit/lid gives you "Ronnie Peterson" Yellow suit and Blue & Yellow helmet. Interesting dash. - Little bit of a shame it doens't remember your PB PP score here, but that is why we have pens and paper.

Also like the longer than usual race lengths - The Eifel Kart track is nice too, All good today.

Tryed the Prius with 337 PP and won. Runs very well! I'm gonna try with less PP.
Did you add some weight for a lower PP ??

The Daytona race is really easy in a used Taurus SHO, bone stock no Oil Change

I think I did weight reduction and tuned it as much as possible and then I started turning down the power... Its definitely possible to do with less than 300... I almost got it with 286pp now, but I had to block for almost 3 laps and 2 cars ended up passing me just before the line, so I came 3rd by 1 sec.

Edit: oh and I painted it red and gave it black rims... :-P

I hate these seasonals. Canae dae any of them with the prius. Throwing in the towel until I can get my wheel back. Stupid DS3. It's impossible to race well with one of these. :grumpy: :grumpy:

Rant over.

As someone said before they won Daytona with the Fiat Barchetta, I tried it out myself at exactly 400 PP. The car doesn't seem fast at all but it can hold itself at 140 MPH+ without a draft at Daytona (probably due to its body shape). This car is a draft breaker as well. It can pull itself around and up to packs with minimal issue.

Just did tksuba with the golf from the new car dealership with 369 pp and 164 bhp..

All I can say is, for the first time.. I got 4th but going to retry this evening..

Prius TC. No oil change, lowest downforce, 200 kg ballast around 20 towards the back, Engine Limiter 50% giving somewhere round 365 PP. Won everything except Daytona quite easily and around $4-5,000,000 for all 5 events I believe. Switched to a FTO GP-R with some ballast for Daytona, around 390 PP and won that.

This is most likely what i will be using due to your description, how far where you ahead on the track and how far behind on the Oval

New record payout on Cape Ring? Just did this with a 295pp Prius G '09 and won by 0.9 seconds. Still lost 6 seconds on the last lap blocking the A.I.

Used the Civic EK '97 RM at 400PP for every one except Daytona where I had to bump the power up.

Just tried out the Prius at 294pp and caught the leader coming up to the end of lap 4, before he went "IMPOSSIBRUU!!" and bulldozed me off the circuit. I would have had that race otherwise, but not sure how much lower I can get the pp. Haven't reduced any weight yet though, I'll try that next.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this anywhere, but I noticed the theme for this week's list of cars. Other than the types they have all the time (Formula GT, pickup truck, DTM racecar), the other 15 cars are each the only one from that manufacturer in all of GT5.

This type of event is cool for the challenge. I know a lot of people on here have been using lower pp cars all along, including myself, so being rewarded for it is cool. Only problem for me is dumping 20 million credits in order to gain anything for it.

Managed to win the cape ring one on 293 now, which breaks the 2 mil mark, but there's more left, I only had to defend on the lap 4 to 5 conversion and still pulled away in the corners throughout lap 5. Reducing the weight seemed to help.

I was hoping this performance adjustment was going to be the removal of the stupid rabbit car at the front syndrome but no. 👎

What they've done is good but it is not good enough.

I especially like how I can't hear my own engine when I'm near an AI car. That really improves my gear shifts. :ouch:

I really think it's about time that the FGT, a Sports Truck & a DTM car were premium then they can stop littering the OCD with them.💡

I was able to win all but the Daytona race in a 390pp mini countryman. The shape holds it back at Daytona. I really like the variety of this se.

Used a Ford Focus ST '06.

Took the race lead going down the back-stretch on lap # 5 at Daytona. Three AI ganged up on me coming out of turn # 4 and spun me out. My Focus rolled three times, and I came across the Finish line side-ways, in 4th position.

Got the rollover trophy!

So a tuned prius is the most likely to yield the higher payoff? I should retry the cape ring one with the prius, it's pretty easy even with a 380pp car.

Cape Ring - Spoon Fit Race Car - max ballast, no oil change, tranny, suspension & clutch & flywheel mods only.
PP 355
BHP122/6000rpm

Total Cash - 1,262,210 (PDA was 898920)

Fantastic to race with - what it loses down the straight it makes up for round the corners in bucketloads!!

After the 1st corner, the next braking point is the 2nd corner after the jump! The kerbs really pull you round nicely. Bliss!

Anyone else noticed after 3-4 laps on Cape Ring the Prius actually looses power and goes slower?

For Tsukuba, Eifel and CSR5, I won in a 378pp Daihatsu OFC-1 (all upgrades except turbo & exhaust). The excellent cornering ability more than makes up for the mere 92bhp. Races were pretty close, but the OFC-1 won every race first time.

For the other two, a 388pp Alfa Romeo Spider 3.0 V6, which completely obliterated the competition hands down.
