"Stunned"? Really? I got the game on release and have played it most days ever since, but I only reached 40 in A-Spec earlier this year. Doing 2 or 3 of the longer endurance races moved the bar up about 1.5 levels. Reached B-Spec Level 40 ages ago though.
Perhaps you did some rubberband grinding at some point, but from what i've seen in other threads i'm not the only one for whom reaching 40 A-Spec took a long time.

That is a challenging one. Especially if the leaders break away a bit. I had a blast doing it, though; inching up to them with a little PP boosts.

I tuned it up just a bit with SR Exhaust, FC Trans, Drivetrain parts and FC Suspension
Tough one, still. Though I probably could have dropped another HP or two.

Tried Daytona with a lightly tuned 1.3 Tigra thinking I'd be able to draft my way to 1st. Got to 9th and realized I was too far behind the next car to catch the draft, and wasn't gaining anymore. So I gave up.

Yep. On the Nurburgring Nordschleife challenge (the one that just came out) the ARTA NSX in front of him crashes at the pits, but there's a wide gap just to the right for him to safely pass. But bob just decides to plow right through him, instead of slipping past and letting the others crash into him. And don't tell me the AI can't pass wrecked cars like humans can, because the guy behind him went around the crashed car just like I would have.
I'm probably not even going to bother with this challenge anyway, 'coz the prize car is:
1) A crappy, useless car anyway, and:
2)I already have said crappy, useless car.
I don't bother with special events unless I might get a 2J out of 'em. Can't believe I got a freaking Toyota GT-ONE

This is the Event I have been waiting for. I guess now that they are Done designing GT Academey they can get back to awesome seasonals. Now I have something to play for again. Start with the slowest FF I have and build it until I can win. Awesome.

Stunned? I played this game a lot before I got the chance to get online with it last month. It was hard to make any money offline, so I had trouble getting high end cars and competing in tougher races. Now I'm online and I've been cruising through levels.

This event was EXACTLY what I was looking/hoping for.
Something different, and this one definitely delivers.
Not only did they force tyre restrictions(THANK YOU), they introduced this new "Performance Difference Adjustment" to not only encourage driving different cars, but seeing how low a player can go with a vehicle's PP and still win.
Excellent. They certainly did this one well.

Right, gave the Polo GTI a run at 299pp, but I couldn't keep the other cars behind me on the final straight
I bumped up the PP to 305 and won by 3 seconds.
Set up is as follows:
There is a bug in this picture. The max speed is actually 112mph, not 180mph. Another thing for PD to fix.
And I couldn't even reach the top 3 with my 430pp Golf V GTI at around 145mph (faster when drafting).
I have tried like 8 different cars.
The top 3 just goes too fast to reach...

Just did the 1st Tsukuba Race in a Spoon Fit Race Car - 369PP 123BHP, Nice little battle for 3rd. I came 4th in the end. As a Reward I got 400.000+ Credits (170% Log In Bonus Added) So I'm thinking you need at least a 150BHP Car to take on for the lead as I was 15 Seconds away from him at the end. Sucks that the Rubber banding is working throughout as he'd slow down massively as I was approaching 2nd & 3rd then when I was battling for 3rd he'd speed off again and regain seconds some how. But liking these new PDA Event Races
Get the gear ratios shorter, like 170 km/h, I used the same car and it worked to me, but my Fit is detuned to 350pp, so it could be easier for you

They probably say that because it don't show up at all in the UCD. But on the other hand, its a prize car so I wouldn't call it elusive either. Its there for you to win, you just have to win it. I think its an A-Spec extreme event. Not sure, its been awhile. Somebody help me out with that one. Bottom line tho, not elusive.
I've not hit 40 yet either but I pretty much play exclusively online and I'm struggling to get to grips with the different physics online so dont win anywhere near as much as I do offline so my XP is only creeping up these days even with a regular 200% bonus - i dont find it that big of an issue though
