The offset plate on the evo serves a purpose,it mkes room for air to get to the FMIC, an impreza doesnt have one therefore and offset plate would make it barry and ricer that means its an epic fail.

Because he has an off centre plate? Really? There are a ton of guys on the MINI boards that have off set plates because they didn't want to drill holes in their bumper. Guess that makes them ricers.

Yeah....No. That doesn't make them ricers at all, nor is it an epic fail to do so.

It does if the car already comes as standard with a perfectly useable centrally mounted number plate panel.

Moving the plate to improve how the car looks is now barryboy/rice/EPIC FAIL?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Why do people bother 'ricing' their cars by adding aftermarket/upgrade rims then? The stock rims are fine, fill their purpose well. Maybe the new rims look better? 💡 (even if only to the owner).

How does making the front of a car look non-symmetrical improve it's looks?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

It's called an opinion 👍 If the owner thinks it looks better that way, then so be it. Personally I like Impreza plates in the centre, but that's my opinion, other people have different ideas.

Then again, calling this ricing/barryboys/EPIC FAIL is an opinion, so fair enough. Just a bit OTT in my view.

Well MINI's don't and the off set plate uses the tow hook area for a no holes mounting of the plate. I would assume other vehicles are like that as well. I don't want holes in my bumper.

Don't they :odd:

The US spec MINI's just have two small dimples in the bumper where you can drill into. All cars arrive here at the dealers without anything to attach the plate to. Many people who live in states that require front mount number plates opt to buy the bracket that allows them to put it off to the side using the tow hook.

Benzoboy, the originator of this whole argument, is from the UK, where all cars bought will already have been registered at the dealer before bought. If he chose to have a Mini with the reg plate off to one side (which he didn't in his 5-Car Garage) he will be left with holes in his bumper where the original plate was. As he would be with any other UK purchased cars.

I have to imagine there are people who own other cars that don't want holes in their bumper either. I've never lived in an area that requires front plate, but if I did I wouldn't be drilling holes in my bumper. But why does anyone really care where one's number plate is? Saying it's an epic fail or makes them a ricer is just stupid, which is my point based on Holden's comments.

Not really there is to point in having an offset plate on an impreza as it does not have a FMIC plus he is trying to copy an evo and an impreza trying to copy an evo just wrong hence it is ricerish and an epic fail.

My 5 car garage would be........

1st - Nissan Skyline GTR R34. Always wanted since driving one.

2nd - Porche Carrera GT. The sound it makes is to die for.

3rd - Ferrari F40. Absolute monster.

4th - Kornigsegg (Spelling ????). see F40

5th - Escort Cosworth. Classic

Having an offset plate on a Subaru now makes you a wanna-be Evo owner? That is the dumbest thing I've ever read out of your posts.
