500PP Classic Muscle Car Championship

Mach 1 for me too. Tuned to 498pp. Madrid and Laguna took a quite few attempts. Eifel was like a fast roller coaster ride. Fun but unfortunately my limited skills needs some SRF help on Madrid and Laguna. Any time I tried to push a little harder, I spin and slide right off.

I sent you a pm with a tune for a car that I used to beat this challenge.

Has anyone won a $million here yet?
I managed $830,720 at Cape Ring yesterday while I was still using the GT40 @50% power (250hp) and 200kg (1198kg), as low as it will go.

That car does work easily, so thanks for tip 👍

I got mine down 240bhp and won something 860k.
It's not broken in yet so I think thats reason mine low hp.
Gonna put it run some endurance tonight and check how low I can get it with black oils :)

Thanks for the pleasant surprise. Will try it out though I suspect the problem lies with the hardware behind my steering wheel.

Just watch the throttle in the sharp corners and brake early you should be fine. Like I said Madrid is a bit tough but I did it in a few tries.

Ford Mustang Mach 1 did the trick for me...
Due to some flaw in my driving (smashed into the wall 3rd lap chicane) I lost Madrid with .126 seconds on first attempt.

Fun to drive again, got me into doing all the other seasonals too 👍

Mach 1 for me also 👍

Using the Chevelle SS 454. I get understeer EVERYWHERE. But that's expected with an old american car. Cape ring was easy. Got extremely lucky on Daytona. Was losing up to 3 seconds a lap. Until the final lap down the back straight the lead car got stuck behind a backmarker, typical AI can't overtake and I flew past at the end of the banking of the last turn. Struggling with the other 3 events though.

Killermiller24, totally agree with you. The best way to win this seasonal event, is with the Corvette Convertible (C3) ' 69. with some little tuning of course.

Last night I hit 1.2 million using a 1969 Camaro Z28 running 424PP (200% log in bonus). Though, even if you had a 110% log in boost, the total would still be just over a million. I believe I won by about a second, surely the aliens out there can do it well under 420PP.

Im still struggling on Madrid and Eifel..can only get second on both of them..im using a Corvette Stingray L46 350 (C3) '69 (Clueless tune) in at 490pp!..

420pp at Cape Ring will net you 1,227,200cr with %200 log-in bonus. And yes the Aliens should drop well below that figure.

Fellow track-fiends who are just average drivers (aren't most of us?) and have a sizeable muscle car garage will no doubt eventually find the right car to win at Daytona and Eifel, but will experiene some difficulty with Madrid and Laguna Seca, especially against the Corvettes. I even tried the race car model ('63) and the GT 40 (69) with limited success on these two tracks.

The solution: go to the Chaparral 2D ('67), "old reliable", reset the PP and you will almost certainly improve your times. You will probably need 1:35 laps at both Madrid and Laguna Seca, but it's doable. For the point-crazed enthusiasts here, just turn down the PP and the money will roll in...

The 2D does not show up as a participant in any of the races, yet there are no restrictions against using it.

For those struggling with Madrid as i did...
Camaro Z28 RM 69 easily did the trick for me.
Caught the corvette already on 3rd lap.

Its a technical course where handling matters more than power.

I struggled with other cars.
The Mustang F1 perhaps can do it as well with a good tune, its more fun to keep trying.

Managed to win Cape Ring at 411PP with a Corvette C3 Convertible (intended to attempt it at 410pp, but the car broke in... Oh well...) Yielded in 1.3 million with 200% bonus.

Won the race by a near full second. My line was absolute crap, with all the AI in my way and having crashed into nearly all of them. With a really clean line, 400-405pp is possible.

Agreed beny. For some reason I always found the rear bumper of the 63' Vette just as I entered the long 360º "corner"/loop. Nice job on the 411PP!

I just noticed that the Ford GT40 (Road Car) in not this game. There was one in GT3... oh how I would love to use that car in this seasonal. Oh well. Looks like I'll have to try the GT40 Race Car, or a 'Cuda or Camaro. Beware, fun times ahead! :)

Haha just kidding, this is from the Ferrari Formula Seasonal.
OK now I'm going to do the Classic Muscle Car seasonal.

First suggestion would be raise the PP to 500, second use a better car. I used the 69 RM Camaro Z28 for all except Daytona and didn't have too much trouble winning, and I have a half @$$ guessed suspension tune and made quite a few mistakes.

Just beat Daytona in the 69 corvette at 430 pp, $813,600 and a 5:07 race time. The 63 vette is always the rabbit but he gets held up more or less depending on the other cars in the lineup, this race I was 12 seconds behind at the beginning of lap 5 and ended up winning by 4 seconds. The last lap is when the race is won or lost.

I won the first 2 races with the 69 GT40 with no additional tuning to the transmission or areodynamics, etc. I can't seem to get out of 5th place in the remaining three, which puts me ~ 15 seconds behind the corvette leader. For me, the GT40 is spinning out in the corners' (Can't maintain the speed I'd like). So being the noob here, any suggestions?

Managed to win Cape Ring at 400pp with my Corvette Convertible C3 '69. I can safely say this was one of the hardest challenges I ever met playing GT5.

The payout.

I had to practically manhandle a 1.7 ton beast through the swaying AI traffic at high speeds, and I only had 201hp to play with. Life would had been much easier if only the AI would stay in place or respond to the actions of other drivers.

I believe if I push hard enough 395pp is possible, but that's a challenge for another day.

If your having a difficult time getting through Laguna & Madrid. The Ford Mark IV can be tuned down to 480. This car sticks to the ground well especially if you have good throttle control. Adjust ride hight-lower, remove all down force, max ballast, power reductions... Will experiment further. But I won both tracks 1st try with this car. Other cars require more finesse, but NOT THIS ONE!

Just get your tranny set so your about to max out before the end of the longest straight. Tranny set final gear 2.000, top speed 149/152 or so.

Isn't really fair with this car but if your struggling getting 1st, then this is your car. Sticks like glue with min down force.

I think I used Praiano's tune on my Camaro. I'm not sure as I put that tune on the car way back before I started tuning so I don't really remember where I got the tune from. Pretty sure you could probably win these with the default settings as they seem pretty easy. Check Praiano's garage tho if you need a tune, pretty sure he has one.

yup Praiano's tune, no oil change
thank you:tup:

I can't beat the Laguna seca, should I cut the corners on this stage?
I bought several classic cars, and the best one for me is the Corvette 69', I always get 2nd..

Where can I get the Ford Mark IV car, the one that costs like 15m or 20m?
