Misty would you care to explain how you had a car with no stripes "gave it a pretty new paint job (I’d had it in stock Red Jewel Tintcoat without stripes, and now Midnight Purple Pearl, really pretty except now it has big fat white stripes on it out of nowhere...)" and now the stripes appear?
I can't understand how that would happen?

Its a dirty little secret amongst us hybridders. Sorry, can't tell you how, otherwise I'll be hung at sundown.

I was surprised by it too! I assumed it’d be all one color like it was before I painted it. At first, I thought it was (GT Auto shows it mainly from the side), till I saw it from above. :grumpy:

It still looks okay, but not what I expected. Hopefully GT6 will handle personalization better rather than just making pretense of it.

does anyone else like to fully upgrade the power output of the engine. and then limit it down to meet PP? i find that having a flat powerband across the rpm range does actually make the car faster, even tho the peak output remains the same.

Oh great, thank you, another race with a couple of specific winning cars where you get ***another rolling start*** and you need to play bumper cars with 9 or 10 other really slow cars, as you chase that top car, who by the way started almost 25 to 30 sec. ahead of you, within 5 laps. But I have to admit they added a few longer tracks to race this time in but they HAD to ADD that last KART TRACK !!!. Driving simulation my @ss!! Strongly considering bypassing the next GT game.

Haha! This is exactly how I feel about the Seasonal events. I literally only race them for the ridiculous sums of prize money and XP. And if I don't win, I don't care. I'm just trying to podium and make some cash.

I'm still not tired of Trial Mountain, after xx years. That, combined with the BMW M3 GTR '03, is just about perfect for a quick thrash to top up the credits.

I do this sometimes, mostly because the car or truck I choose has already been fully upgraded and I need to squeeze it below specs.

It is a glitch in the game that has been mentioned before. When you repaint a solid colored (no stripes) Camaro SS '10, the new paint job will have the double stripes on the hood and rear deck lid.

The Shelby rabbit on SS 5 was tough to catch, need 1:36 laps and the first lap was always around 1:40, 41. '03 M3 GTR and CSL were closest. Finally won with detuned Amuse 380RS, which was slower but rabbit was only an RX7 and 8 seconds slower than Shelby. Spoon S2000 race car for the Kart win, kind of gave in there using a car with numbers on the doors.

I did a bit of research for this event, trying to find the slowest rabbits, and came up with the following:

Lineup #/rabbit
1. Shelby
2. M3
3. Shelby
4. Shelby
5. Spirit R
6. M3
7. M3
8. Grand Sport
9. Infiniti Coupe Concept '06 <---very slow rabbit
10. Grand Sport
11. Fairlady Z '08
12. Supra RZ '97 , <---very slow rabbit

It looks like lineups #9 and #12 are the easiest to overcome with a low PP run.

I have found that the best cars I've used for this event are the S2000 LM Racer I just picked up today and the Aston from the NCD. Both make this quite a breeze with the right lineup.

So on a whim, I tuned my M3 GTR with one of Clueless's tunes. For 500PP. I had to revise slightly as to already removing windows and stage 1 motor. BUT..... I can't believe how incredible this tune worked. I passed the Rabbit ( one of the slower ones The Supra RZ ) at the end of lap 2. I know it's a slow rabbit BUT CMON ;-). Running 1st before lap 3 doesn't hit me too often LOL. I ran mostly 1.36's at Trial Mountian.
The car ran and felt a lot different than I am used to. Much more sticky and jerky than it was gracefully sliding; but JEEZ it worked ! Gonna try some other tracks. But this kinda surprised me ;-)
Thanks Clueless Tunes ! BMW M3 GTR 500 PP

Agreed! ...anything w/ Trail Mnt. Is worth a double or triple take! Picked up a used copy of Tourist Trophy (PS2 .. GT's Bike version) a long while back .. Spent most of my time at TM.

Would love to see a real life replica (of course some excavation may need to be made to make it safer )

.....

Broke out the Trusty Camaro SS for these .. An easy win but havin' a blast 👍

Edit: Kart Track. Realistic to drive a Camaro on a KT? No! Was it a challenge? Yes. Did I have to stretch my abilities? Yes. Was I tempted to put on SRF before even trying? Yes. Did I use anything but ABS1? No. .... 1st time out as usual on a new track, get a feel for the layout and check the gearing .. Lap 3 in for a tranny Adjust. 1st real attempt close, within reach: note to self, "drive hard in to 1st double right .. Let it hang out .. Don't over do it .. Make quick work of the AI in the way .. As long as at least 2 tires are on course it's not cutting in my book lol .. Use the track up in out in out .. You can do this!!" .. Restart lap 4 of 1st attempt gearing looks good .. Was in reach .. 2nd go: Gold! Whoop! ...will I waste my time doing a repeat unlikely

..one of my fav Kart tracks from back in the day actually had some drifters rent it out .. It's way tighter and narrow to say the least but they managed to compete .. Till a Kart sanction came back in and wanted the track clean for karting events only. It's all how you approach it. Don't let it ruin you opinion of GT!

There is good benefit to maxing out to stage three engine tuning and all the high end parts (just keep an eye on PP at max so it will be in range to detune the limiter to get the PP needed of course) You get more torque from the engine that way .. You may get a tick less HP but way more torque .. giving better performance on exit and pulling the car down the straight... Every tick off the clock counts.

I tested all that out on the Zonda R at 650PP and always the ones without full tuning clearly lacked the usual zing off the corners and down the straights .. And made me want to overdrive to make up the dif. It comes alive at Stage 3.👍

I stopped running any car race on a Kart track several Seasonals back. I have not seen a car in OCD or UCD since early last year other than the two Standard Ferraris that turned up in OCD a few weeks ago. So I don't care about prize tickets and I race the Seasonals for fun. If like me you detest the Kart track why bother with it at all?
