Has anyone else tried running less weight and less power? I've got my best time (59.2) using @Doodle's settings but with stage 3 weight reduction and 200kg ballast with about 240hp. It's a bit slower on the straights but makes up for it with later braking and being a bit more nimble in the corners.
I had used lower weight, and less power for what had been my fastest lap, but I've just used @Strachi settings and found another 0.26 seconds within a couple of laps! Had to move the ballast forward slightly for better balance, and used @fordlaser777 gear settings, and found it to be a great tune.

I do qualify on age grounds to use the tune by the way......

Here my set for fast amateurs over 50.It should allow you
high 58 surely low 59s.

Have fun.
Worked for me thanks! As with @Kossie tune, I had to move the ballast forward slightly to get the right balance for me. Also used @fordlaser gear settings, which work well with AT.

0.26 seconds improvement in 2 laps!

I did have a quick go with @Strachi's set-up and found it quicker in the fast bends but slower in the hairpins. Swings and roundabouts. I too qualify to use it, but I like to kid myself I can handle the youngster's tune. I'll try it again, maybe with AS, although I haven't found AS any quicker so far.

Got a 59:192 and lost 0:250 on the last bend

Look on the bright side. It means you've got a 58 in you.

Kinda done with GSX for a 1:00:18.
Purchased the Subaru car & will give it a try.
Is there a setup for the WSX '09 car?

Not to be harsh, but if your at 1:00+ with the Gixxer, the Subie will be at about 1:08 or slower. No tuning can get it close. It will pull out of turns and stay with the little Suzuki, but entry and mid corner you feel like your waiting an eternity. And that is with the tail as loose as can be while maintaining some consistent driveability.

Maybe that's just my experience?

Appreciate Your feedback.
Will skip the Subaru then. The only think I've enjoyed about the Subaru as of now was being able to modify it which the GSX doesn't allow.
Anyway, this is superficial! The settings matter more than the looks afterall.

Has anyone tried all of the 3 mentioned setups for the GSX on 1st page? Wondering which setup will suit a DS3 & an average driver like myself.

I can tell you @shaunm80 tune will fit a DS3 user as he tunes on one.
@fordlaser777 is a fast driver, but his tunes and I don't get along just like my tunes don't fit him. @Dashyankuro i dunno about he is new to me. I still need to drive his FITT V8 car to find out his approach.
If you haven't take out doodles tune. It's fast, MT required as you need to force gears for turns

Do use a DS3 or a wheel ? because this tune suits my driving style using my G27 than my tune that I posted and thank you Sir , btw I am over 52.

My time with the GSX is 58,502 and with the Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C '09 i did 59,497.
So I guess it's just your experience, fact is the Subi is only 1s slower.

My tune for the Subaru can be found on page 3 of this thread.

Your much faster than I am, I got to my happy place, time wise, after 38 laps or so and left it alone. It seemed really time consuming to gain a tenth, so getting under a second was enough.
But I think we agree, my Subie time was 8 tenths slower, so just under a second.

Great lap from Dany Ricardo, some rounds after the quali
gave me P40. Nice, but still a round with mistakes.

I Really think verstappen was faster in his crash round, That was tricky, Only thing I don't understand is why he would get so fast the fastest round...

What setting to use for the GSX not oversteering?
The darn car's back end always wants to slide around. The ballast is more towards the front as the car turns in better.

Yeah hopefully, blown a 58 lap so many times

It's been my experience that moving the ballast forward calms the entry steering and adds on power steering. As it should.

When the weight is moved back it adds entry steering and takes away on power steering(if you're not racing on ice).

Think of it like a pendulum. You can feel the effect with a broom. Swing it by the handle end, then hold the brush part and swing the handle.

Ride hieght alters this feeling a bit, mostly due to roll center changes that accompany changing ride hieght.

:)

Verstappen only won in Spain because Ricardo got a puncture. Riccardo has clearly been the fastest in qualifying at Monaco from start to finish. He is a gun at Monaco, 4 overtakes in total in the GP race there last year, Riccardo made 3 of them! Hope he wins it is long overdue.
