580PP La Festa Cavallino

After you get the prize car it's fun to test drive the Ferraris on the Toscana track. I ran them bone stock on SH's with no aids/no abs just for fun. No wins of course but it's a blast tossing them around the banked turns in cockpit view. Once you get the track memorized it's great. Loving the 512 and F40 that way. All of them are just amazing vehicles, the jewels of GT5 no doubt.

Can someone tell me where in settings to alter final drive and top speed?

I need to do these before adjusting transmission but can't see where to do it.

Buy the Fully Customizable Transmission, then go into it and it should be called Final Gear at the bottom right, above the Top Speed slider.

Okay thanks will try that tomorrow, got some other weird problem now, any car I drive from my garage is getting stuck on 3rd gear, been going on for a week now, I did not realise until earlier that whatever this problem is until it is resolved it means the tunes won't funtion, I have left a thread in the Q&A section hoping it can be fixed.

Wow, you are simply amazing. I marvel at your driving skills and wish I was at least half as good as you. Me, being a less than average driver myself, am having much trouble with this track
.....
Maybe I could learn from your top-notch driving. Look forward to seeing the video.

Hi Cargorat,

If you start your post to me like you did (bolded), with our history, do you really think I would have taken you serious?

But OP related, since your so genuine, honest and a great forgiving person, I do laps of ~2.00 minutes.
The leading Enzo takes 10m14s for the 5 laps. (every time I tried) So you do the math here. 👍

Used this Ferrari tuned by DMC

Thanks for the advice. Still would like to see the video to observe the lines you run. Thanks again and like I said, forget about the past my friend, life is too short to keep looking back.

A video will never happen, I don't have the equipement to make it.

I've got one on the way which I made especially for you, CargoRat. It could also be nominated for longest but cleanest divebomb of the century at the start of lap 5, outbraking the AI from over 200 yards behind with no ABS and still making the apex. Here's what to expect in a short while...

Ferrari SP1:

Set up:

478PP

Engine - Stock (but power limited)
Drivetrain - Stock
Transmission - Stock
Suspension - Stock
Aids used - None

Not a single collision with a wall or AI, except two occasions where the AI decided to be a douche by blocking terribly.

I did however perform full weight reduction, and then added it back on as 200KG ballast (with a 47/53 ratio). This is totally unnecessary, it's just that I had already performed this mod from previous PP racing.

Despite a couple of obvious blocks from the AI, I still had well over half a lap in the bag. Could be looking at 468pp for this event. 478PP netted 2.5 million credits.

I'll put the video in this post if it's still the current last one in the thread. For some reason, my video software is encoding in extra slow-mode recently.

Thanks Lewis, I feel so special, lol. Look forward to seeing it.

@Outeke: I figured as much. No video to back up an amazing claim.

Haha you start to doubt it?
I have a reply (last lap) recorded on my phone 👍
This was only 7.7 seconds faster, as I made some screwup's in lap 1.

last lap..1.58... payout 1.726.559 (419PS/520pp)

Oh and I remember a time when you had some claims and no proof..so...

EDIT: Uploading mp4 now....

Of course you will start saying "but pp this and hp that.."..
But here is the 10+ seconds I did with mentioned specs above.

No need to go all crazy on me my friend, lol. Just wanted to see your driving lines, thats all.

EDIT: Also, what driving aids were you using...just for reference of course.

Driving line is on, but following that gives you a 2.5 minute lap.
ABS on 1
TCS on 4 (Drive with a DS3)
Rest off

Wonder if that video works, I see nothing...(missing codec?)

Yea, I see no video either. It says Windows Media Player does not support the codec used. I'll have to find a player that plays MP4 files. Thanks for uploading anyway. I'll find a way to get it to work.

Seems to be like there's no information in the video file at all. When I try to use a 'download anything possible' tool, it says inside that link it contains 0 bytes of data. Not sure why the codec would be causing this problem, it's only an mp4 file, I'd say it's either been encrypted or something just went wrong.

Anyway, here's the 478PP run that I was on about;

Thank you guys.

If anything, hopefully it will show (no matter what PP you choose to run with) the sort of apex speeds you can maintain even in a totally stock car (apart from the slight weight difference). May be it might help some people with racing lines, approaches and braking points too. That's the aim though.

I see so many people requesting tunes and expecting a tune to work some form of magic. I want to show that tuning is totally unnecessary and all down to how you handle a vehicle, and all down to how much you can maintain speed on the corners. It's the only place where you can make time up on the AI if you are running low PP levels. As you can see, even the F40 flies past at an enourmous rate on the straights, let alone the Enzo's.

VLC Media Player is all you need. It plays EVERYTHING. Great tweaking abilities with this player too. You'll never use any other player once you've got used to it.

Thanks for the advice Lewis. I'll check it out.

So far I have used the Enzo and got

1st Trial Mountain
2nd Madrid
3rd Cape Ring

With Scuderia '07

6th Toscana

Now will look for tunes, though I hate Nurbergring so not looking forward to that.

Used a DMC tuned Ferrari 458!

Detuned it to 520pp, won 1.6million @ 170% login on Toscane.
Still had 10 seconds lead on the Enzo's.

Will try again with a lower pp another day!

Cheers

👍 just bought a 458 but tuned it up not down, 558 to 570 and won Toscana by 15.363!

Wow that 458 is nippy.

Completed all races, wins on average by 10 secs or more.

No tunes needed here!

Unfortunately already have the '67 prize car.

Glitched! I got gold on all events - says "You receive gift car ticket 330 P4 '67" and yet its not added to my tickets, or garage?

~had to clear some items :banghead:

The Trail Mtn can be used as practice for the Mazda RX TT if you don't know the track well.

The SP1 is fun gonna experiment more with it.
F-40 is a beast-difficult to tune - too loose, pushes... cant dial it in. Not giving up
458 Italia.... just right!

Great opportunity to figure out which cars work well with each persons driving/tuning abilities. Looking forward to playing with all the cars a bit. I may have lucked out with the 458 though.

Cutting the corner on Nurburgring in an SP1 engine-limited to 500PP is earning me just over 2,000,000 credits, with 200% login bonus, in 7:47. Just a note, you need to get up to 6th/7th on the first lap to guarantee a win and for God's sake look out for cars crossing into your path as you cut the chicane :scared:

...so, in one sitting, I earn enough to buy pretty much any car I want :sly: Currently working up to rank 40 so I can begin collecting a rainbow of X2010s 👍

I'm using that method to make quick cash... f40 detuned to 480pp is the best bet for top cash. The 512 @ 485pp is my second favorite.

I'm not sure if you know that the four blocks right at the wall can be knocked out on the first lap. 👍
