To me the car grips better than I'm used to it gripping (what I am used to though is dirty NASCAR online with all sides including ABS forced off). There is a little wheel spin but nothing like a standing start at Daytona in a dirty room.
Do some dirty NASCAR races with no aides online then go back to the time trial and the car will feel great.

Yeeaaa, I don't do dirty NASCAR so really can't make the comparison. At any rate, I've pretty much have the car dialed in now to this track so I've got a pretty good balance between a good corner entry and a decently planted corner exit. Still have to be careful on the throttle, but nothing like I started with last night which was just my base tune for race cars. I'm done for the night as my eye is just absolutely killing me right now. :ill: I improved by another .020 just now so I guess its as good a time as any to end the night. Goodnite everyone.

I managed a 129.683 for early 404th last time i looked:). Quite happy with that with my lack of stock car hours, although my setup feels rubbish and for how few gears they have i never seam to be in the right one! :boggled:

Two weeks ago I ran an online event here and at the Daytona road course and for some reason either the latest update changed something or the seasonal events have a different grip level than normal online lobby's. My 2010 Ford #43 which was outstanding a couple weeks ago is drives like it is on ice, and now my 2013 #43 suddenly feels like it has RS tires on compared to prior testing.
It's PD's world of wonder, you never know what your going to get.

I must apologize... Yesterday gave it a quick go and obviously, the grip is really low. So, you were right, the grip was altered by PD for this very seasonal.

It is a fairly basic tune, but I was able to get 1:27.929 with it:
Suspension-
70 60
11.50 10.50
1 1
1 1
7 7
No camber or toe
Brakes-
9 8
Transmission-
Reset to default, set final gear all the way right then set top speed to 149 mph. Next set 1st through 4th gear all the way right. Last set final gear to 3.579.
Differential-
5
5
5
Full power with oil change and body rigidity installed, no added ballast.
Downforce-
500 700

Got a 1:30:650 with your tune.

The car feels as if running on shredded tyres. Sheesh.

How many switched off ASM here? Drove without ASM & the car's so tricky to handle.

Would ASM make it more stable but without compromising speed?

Ahhhhh yeaaaaaa, here we go, my dream TT come true, although it could be at a different track, but I'll take it. :D Had a short go (about 15 min.) last night but very quickly got frustrated at how damn slippery the track seemed, I quit. The car feels like its on SS tires. Anyway, its a challenge and I'll take it. Came back at it today with a clear and positive mindset, and managed to land a time of 1'27.274 for 21st place atm. Still leaving a lot of time out there, just gotta keep the car under me. I'm using the same 2011 Jeff Gordon car (well, not the same one obviously.) that I used in the NASCAR TT in GT5 in which I finished 27th. Superstitious...yes I am. :P So yea, you all know what I'll be doing for the next two weeks. :sly:

I'd like to add, I'm doing this with one eye as I have a very bad eye infection :indiff: and the doctor today fitted me with a damn eye patch  for now....so yea, pirate 'Ratt I am now.

Arrrrr Matey, Well shiver me timbers if it isn't PirateRatt. Ahoy and nice time by the way

ASM might make the car more stable, but from my past testing with it, its going to slow you down.

Funny you should say that because both my daughter and girlfriend have been giving me the business like that also. Ever since I've gotten back from the doctors, that's all I've heard is damn pirate jokes.  My daughter is 24 and my gf is 30, I told them both they were acting like a couple of high school girls.

Thx.
1:27:7** after few laps, and one lap crashed into wall on last corner with 0.5-0.7 improving :D
I think 1:26.*** is possible with that setup.... and too much drifting in hairpins :D
All corners after my stunt is very dirty ))))

ASM definitely slows you down, even on the start line straight I am behind my ghost that doesn't have ASM on.

After a quick 1/2 session just now before I gotta run to another Dr, appointment, down to 1'26.896 for 16th place atm. The more I get used to the loose handling, the more I loosen up my tune and the faster I'm able to go. Just like they say on my favorite move, "Days of Thunder"......."Loose is fast" Also, maybe I should start driving with one eye  because I still have on that damn doctor ordered eye patch. Will continue on after I piss off some people in my Anger Management class today. :mischievous:

Also, I should note that I am still driving my lucky 2011 Jeff Gordon #24 Chevy Impala. 👍

Many thanks for sharing your tune. 3 Sec improvement 1.27.971

How strange some of "You people" react to this??? It is sooo extremely rare that Indy Road Course appears in Seasonals, and here it is. Could even be the very first time?? Not sure, but rare it is... And some of "You People" complain??? There`s even one who wants this TT held on Suzuka East Course  (No thanks to that)

I find this one great, and for once PD show they really aren`t dead, but still alive... Other funny/strange stuff: Usually it is I who complain about too little tyre grip... But this time I got surprised that those heavy US jokes of cars actually can drive... My gold time is something humble, non-alien off course, 1.32.327, rank 4499, made it yesterday very quickly, with just a little random tune-up. May try and improve a little - another day, not in moode right now...

But a refreshment from again-Tsukuba-again-again it is indeed :) And NO COMPLAINTS here 👍

I think good car/ track choice. I believe the last TT here was when the Nissan GTR 2014 was released? ( correct me if I'm wrong).
It's not that slippery ? I really don't have too much trouble keeping the car on track and driving really aggressively.
You know there are a lot of settings you can change if the car is spinning too much( many have been discussed on these forums)

I am not overly qualified to comment on these things but I think those who are having problems should have a good look at their LSD settings and think about THROTTLE CONTROL ;) Thanks to @MOPARbarrett5 for the excellent tune 👍 Has helped me a lot, I of course had to tweak it to suit my style :) Does any one else have any tunes or setting tips for the NASCAR and this event ? I don't see very many NASCAR tunes on GTP :boggled: @Famine has posted a fairly useful tune which I used first up and Golded with it.

One basic tune can be use for every Nascar ? I thought it is different tune for different brands of cars. I'm sure eg. GT500 or other race cars can't use it this way. Haha...

T4 is where the time is made.. Exit speed in every corner defines the lap. Follow evolutions line. Long 1st/2nd gears work best. I cant post as the change i made aint mine to post lol. Theres a .50 difference on the initial final from mine. Aim for 83mph in 1st, 120mph 2nd... 3rd and 4th dont matter too much aslong as ur almost topping out at ur brake point for first corner. I hit 179 going over the line

Bear in mind mate, me you and sw_10 are virtually equal round the whole lap. We generally exit exactly the same from that last corner. Watch evo as i say and watch from the corner before the last. That one is just as crucial. Look at the anount of speed and throttle position hes carrying. Get round those slow 1st gear corners as fast as possible and take a slower line into the final turn. Patience pays well here. All about exit speed. I had it drummed into me. I generally drive to aggressive and hot on entry

Great lap @xChris93_ i was hoping i would reach that 25 crew 1st haha. Very nice mate!

Yeah I made massive gains on my time by lengthening out 1st gear for the S2 complex and exit to final straight mate. I'm losing time to evo and immortal on the final straight when accelerating through 3rd and 4th gear, so I need to work on that to get a couple more tenths. Transmission is so important for this TT, as well as general driving lol. It's a really fun challenge this one, I don't really take part in many TT's. :)

Spot on mate. Evo was at 25.9 and was still saying the times in the transmission now haha 25.9 was already insane at the time and then pablo steps up and smashes it first session lol he reckoned 25.5 was the limit without AS... Hes right up to now. I can see a .4 though lol.
Its been one of the better tests of throttle control definately
