Spot on mate. Evo was at 25.9 and was still saying the times in the transmission now haha 25.9 was already insane at the time and then pablo steps up and smashes it first session lol he reckoned 25.5 was the limit without AS... Hes right up to now. I can see a .4 though lol.
Its been one of the better tests of throttle control definately

Yeah when I saw Shooter's time on the 1st day was in the 25's I didn't expect to get there; seemed like an amazing time. Was an amazing feeling when I crossed the line to get a 25.8 and beat him though  I feel as if there's 3-4 more tenths there for me, lost a tenth in S1 on my best I know I can improve my complex exit on S2 for a tenth or two and better 3rd to 4th gear change/final corner exit for another tenth or maybe more lol. It's just putting it together which is tricky :P Sectors 1 and 2 are so much fun though.

Hopefully you guys can get in the 25's too :gtpflag:

Same here lol my best lap i was actually behind growling and sw_10 for 3/4s of it... I usually monster the start and mess up T4 lol

Wow. I am NOT good at this road course. I thought I was getting a little better after the Nissan GT-R Nismo Seasonal Event held here, but I probably haven't driven here since then. One of the best things about GT6 is its enormous selection of tracks and I always seem to stick to the same three or four, like an idiot. :dunce: I got Gold on my first lap with a 1:33.333... I'll probably just leave that as it is because I think the time is funny and I really dislike driving the NASCAR vehicles in GT6.

Good luck to everyone who is shooting for a low, low time!!! 👍 :D

Still no real NASCAR featuring ABS, traction control, active steering, ASR or any other aid than curage and skill, but impressive driving none the less.

Awesome moving up to 8th @Evo19uk  I'd better start trying to fiddle with this transmission:lol:
Dont praise me yet. I fked up and used active steering for that lap.... It doesnt count. Only had a 26.389 without it so technically i deserve 9th. Iv got two chevvys. One with body rigidity and one without. Virtually no difference to me... Seem to drive better without it although evo says its better on.. I switched AS on just to see the usual difference in how hard u can mash the throttle... EASY. Switched back to my other chevvy and away i went with it still on. Iv turned it off and its staying off. Annoyed i messed with it. Worst thing is i beat the time in 1 lap.... Shooters lap is easily beatable with AS on.

You little sod  I'm definitely leaving it from now on
Thats my plan. Done the last 3 without it. No need for it. Temptation on this one because now i know i can hit a monster lap with it on.... 26.0/1 will prob be my best without

I actually wish there was an option to remove your own time if u so wish

I still don't understand the secrecy in the top 10 in sharing your setups for others to try. You should have enough confidence in your own driving ability where sharing your setup shouldn't matter. I cannot count the number of times in the past where I have shared my setups and ended up getting beat by others using my own setup. When that happens, I just figure it as it was my own lack of skill that got me beat, not the setup. After all, we were driving the same setup, or a slight variation there of. So come you guys, have some balls :mischievous: and share your setups....don't be scared. :sly:

Just to add, I know for a fact that some of you have benefitted from me sharing my tunes in the past, so what's wrong with some of you returning the favor?

I know this post probably isn't going to sit well with some of you, but its not meant as a personal attack on anyone. I'm just saying, I have had no problem sharing my tunes here in the past, so why not return the favor? I mean, come on, have some confidence in your own driving ability and don't be afraid of getting beat. Its not like we're racing for some big grand prize or anything, its just pride and bragging rights.

And yes, I've pretty much gotten everything out of my tune, so I would like to see if I could improve with something someone else is using. I'm most interested in transmission settings, but it would be interesting to see what chassis setups your running also.

Again, nothing personal towards anyone and I'm sure I'll be more than hazed for even making this post but I'm just speaking my mind here. :)

Iv given my own setup plenty of times. If someone else has helped me with key areas i cant post their work? Sharing in private is one thing. Posting other peoples work in public is another. If they choose to post public then they will. I got shouted at off ramon for it a while back and now we no longer speak... So thats how serious ppl take it! I respect ur opinion though

I'm not asking you to share other people's work and I totally understand that, but I'm sure that tune had to come from somewhere, right? Why can't the person that gave it to you share it publically? If he's not a member, maybe ask his permission. 💡 Besides, there is more than just you, I'm speaking to all the top 10, even 15. I just don't understand the big deal about all the secrecy....one should rely on and have confidence in their own ability. If one gets beat by their own tune, then I guess they weren't that good to begin with. I really wish PD would just give us a courtesy car with no tuning and be done with it. That would solve all this bs.

No tune is way better. Definately. Get rid of the aids for seasonals too. Get a TRUE leaderboard of skill

And besides cargo, not many top 10 regulars religiously post anything.... But theres alot of them that are very very friendly and understanding... Many in here. All it takes is a quick PM mate and theyll give u what u need :)

Some people dont want to post publicly because they wouldnt just give their work to any old randomer, but to ppl like yourself that are dedicated, passionate or serious about their driving then many wouldnt refuse you anyway.
Thats certainly what iv found anyway..

Ironic that you bring that up because I have indeed pm'ed two different people in this time trial only to be totally ignored. In past TT's, I have even went through and pm'ed every single person that was in the top 10 at the time only to be ignored or fed some kind of excuse by every one of them. There has been the rare occasion where 1 or 2 of the guys have shared in the past so not all of them are stingy with their tunes, but for the most part, getting a top 10 tune is like pulling teeth. And yes, I do give all the credit in the world to @SW__10 's generosity and skill in tuning....he is the best.

Then i guess u have been unfortunate mate. I generally only bash the ears off a couple of ppl but theyve always helped. Not always straight away though. Sometimes they wont give a single thing until they know its as good as it gets and they have set their final time...
But the ones i speak too at least had the decency to reply! U deserve at least that much mate. Iv always hated ignorance. I would much rather have a '**** off' than nothing at all!

And going slightly off topic briefly, i wouldnt really expect anyone to dismiss or ignore any of the GTP members tbh... The work, time, organisation you guys put in is awesome and were lucky to have these communities and leagues. I stayed up to watch the bathurst 12 hour, mainly to wave my pom poms and cheer @RacingLine on but, i have to say it was brilliant. Well worth it!

It is a fairly basic tune, but I was able to get 1:27.929 with it:
Suspension-
70 60
11.50 10.50
1 1
1 1
7 7
No camber or toe
Brakes-
9 8
Transmission-
Reset to default, set final gear all the way right then set top speed to 149 mph. Next set 1st through 4th gear all the way right. Last set final gear to 3.579.
Differential-
5
5
5
Full power with oil change and body rigidity installed, no added ballast.
Downforce-
500 700
Many thanks for sharing

I would happily share my setup with you @GTP_CargoRatt , I'm using the tune on the OP of this event thread. For the lap time that I have at the moment, my only change was to lengthen my G1 to max all the way to the left, then incrementally by 1/4 each time to the right G2-4. You can judge the correct gearing by line intersections to the origin of 1st. I know from following lines that it's not the best transmission on the final straight, but close enough if you're fast in the corners :P brake balance is personal preference but I was using 9 8, and aero full front; 620 rear.

Just remember to shift down to 1st as it gives you a much better exit and change gear under high revs to get maximum boost.

Thank you. I've tried that setup after I got everything I could out of mine and it just didn't fit my style. I'll take and try your suggestion on the gearbox and rear aero. Thanks for the suggestion. 👍

Does anyone know what happened to @Stotty? I haven't seen any posts from him in a while. Hopefully all is well with him.

Hey guys... I'm still alive!

Been mental busy at work and home over the past 6 weeks or so - we're in the middle of fiscal planning at work, so lots of late nights preparing everything. Plus my wife and I bought an apartment in Southern Spain late last year, and we've had a couple of trips out there to sort furniture etc. I haven't had a weekend at home in the last 5 weeks!

Things will start to quieten down in a couple of weeks (I hope!!).

Finally got about an hour to devote to this today and improved to 1'26.761 for 35th atm, still using my own tune. Had an anonymous member send me a tune last night but it just didn't fit. Thanks though "anonymous", your generosity is greatly appreciated. I just pm'd the whole top 10 plus 4 or 5 :mischievous:  so we'll see if anyone responds to my S.O.S.

Nice improvement 1.27,843 #162 -> 1.27,842 #162 (yesterday evening)

I only share my tunes, if iam able to do the top 100; since Charmonix it didn´t happend :-(
Can someone confirm, that the TT´s getting more and more competitive. In December or January, i had no problem to enter the top 100. Now i had problems to do the top 200.
Is maybe that the reason for the decreasing sharing of tunes ?
