I am from Austria btw....

I really enjoy night racing action!

I do :) It's very intense this year no doubt.

OK so there is at least 3 of us :)
I am doing my personal best this year - so far have seen everything in except first training session (there were 2 as far as I know ?)

Wooow

Had no idea there was a women driver - beautiful and fast - Regards ! :) :dopey::sly:

Peugeot #8 had to change "nose" got back down to 3rd position :/

Those corvette's sound so sweet:D
I won't be pulling an all nighter, had to work today so also mist the start and won't be home for the finish tomorrow(reminds myself to set recorder).
btw. The amount of commercials on eurosport is rather disturbing.

Your right, and there seems to be far more on Eurosport 1 (international) than there was on Eurosport 2 (British)

Which is good in a way since its proving commercialy good for eurosport apparently looking at adverts so next year also 24 hours live again is more likely (great service!) 👍

Every time i see the peugeot's driving into its pit spot it looks like its going to hit the people standing on the side. Some very nice onboard camera work.

:( Darn really hoped aston martin & verstappen would get podium this year :(

*cough* 1,2,3 ..... youre live people at eurosport :P

Wow, the tables have turned. I'm not gonna call the winner though until its two hours to go, especially since rain is predicted.

The 007 car seems to have a chance still in 5th, its got a chance but it needs a few opponent break downs.

Hello, people! Let me chat a bit about my watching of Le Mans. And as always, you know I'm jacked about this weekend. So let me just make a little diversion and offer some light-hearted material here while I'm enjoying this race here.

* The big "Wow..." moment that I've seen so far was the Pescarolo Peugeot in the pits with one of the works 908 HDi FAP's.

* Let this be said right now- I LOVE those Lola coupe prototypes! The Aston Martin Lolas are lovely, though I do kind of wish it had the exact same sky blue as the classic GT40s. This blue is much lighter, and don't like it too much. But it's a sweet deal!

* The #3 Audi's off was really shocking to me, but no more than the Peugeot from my first talking point.

* It was sad the JLOC Lamborghini was the very first retirement. They were having their mechanical woes.

* Great to see Creation Autosportif in action.

* I didn't know that chrome-style paint on these cars helps cool the prototype cars down.

* I praise Risi Competizione as a homer, but I also cheer on Krohn Racing, also based here in Houston or in the Houston area.

* Regardless of if the #81 Team Advanced Engineering F430 GT2 finishes or not, it's great to see this car getting all kinds of charity money. Nothing's cooler than racing for a good cause. Cheers, mates!

* Great to see Mazda at Le Mans and racing with a pretty potent car. Not sure what Mazda did with that Furai concept, but it would be great to see them return with a car that can compete for the overall win. Unless... Toyota or Nissan or somebody want to challenge Mazda.

* I tend to like the newer driver number style for some reason.

Car Favorites
Time to talk style! I'm going to go on the Le Mans spotter guides as far as talking about my favorite-looking cars. Have a look:

* all Audi R15 TDI's
* all Peugeot 908 HDi FAP's
* the #10 and #11 Oreca01-AIM's
* all Lola B08/80 coupes
* the #5 Navi Team Goh
* the #74 Felbermayr Porsche 911 GT3 RSR
* the #82 Risi Competizione, #84 Team Modena, and the #99 JMB Racing Ferrari F430 GT2's
* the #87 Astron Martin Vantage GT2
* the #85 Spyker C8 Laviolettte GT2R

Then the only car I don't really like design-wise is the #25 (my driver number for my racing games) RML Lola B08/80. Just never liked that combination of white/red/blue much.

Off-Topic/Just for Fun

* With all the Gran Turismo 5 talk, and with Pescarolo featured in GT4, I'd be pretty happy to see either/both the Pescarolo LMP and/or the Pescarolo Peugeot in GT5.

* Speaking of GT5, it would be great to see some of the GT Ferraris in GT5. Psst, Polyphony Digital... get in Risi Competizione! I don't want to have to play just a Forza game just to race my hometown's sportscar racing team.

* I keep hearing of what it would be like for Ferrari to return to the prototype ranks. I still think NOTHING will surpass the 333SP. I would literally have wet dreams about a Ferrari prototype coming along after about almost ten years after the 333SP last graced the race track. Even more so if a future Ferrari prototype had the classic Momo colors like for the Momo Ferrari 333SP (which is my all-time favorite race car).

Halfway is in a few hours, which also means that chance of rain is possible. Rain is the big equalizer, so we'll see how rain plays a factor here.

Does anyone know a website were you can see the race live? Besides the official Le Mans website! 👍

Quite a few quadruple stints now. I wonder, if we get a rain shower will they go back to 3 stints after the track dries. Presumably track temperature will drop but the track rubber will get washed out too.

Anyone watching on Speed find that dude from "Dubai" to be weird and iffy? :dopey:

At first I thought it was a joke, that the Dubai guy was Chris Neville! :lol:

It's late enough now, I'm getting fed up with the commercials that pop up ever 10 minutes on SpeedTV so I'm going to bed, get up tomorrow morning and hope the #9 Peugeot will still be in the lead 👍
