Red Bull's front wing has 'moved' for years, they still run it. It's not a moveable device or controlled, so I'm not sure they can say anything about it.

I don't think it's moving intentionally, surely it would just cause separation along the edge of the end plate?

Peugeot pulled out in the beginning of the year. It's Audi vs. Toyota.

Who, do you think, will win the LMP1 battle this year, Peugeot or Audi?

I haven't watched the other races... - Then what about Audi and Toyota? Personally I'm hoping the Audi #2, featuring mr. Le Mans, the Danish Tom Kristensen, will be 1st.

It doesn't 'move'. They passed scrutineering, the car is legal.

Just heard on RLM that they're still doing random scrutineering during qualifying on pit entry. If a car gets a red light they have to stop for checks.
I'm really really hoping there's no trouble here with that flexing part, it would be so stupid for anything to come of it. I'm 95% sure nothing will, but stranger things have happened... but it would be so stupid!

And qualifying #1 is on!

So the actual race usually starts at 8:30 Eastern on Saturday right?

Cool image from Nissan.
Explains the buttons of the DeltaWing

News to me that it has a DRS system! Apparently it has moveable "Winglets"

#51 Ferrari will definitely miss the entirety of this session, and take part in qualifying 2 tomorrow.

#16 Pescarolo also hasn't been out yet, all other 54 cars have set a lap. Deltawing has stopped out on track somewhere around Tetre Rouge.

At the end of Practice 1, we saw the #51 Ferrari and Fisichella made their way to the paddock but to me, it didn't look like a lot of damage has been done. Unlucky for them. The #16 Pescarolo is still in the pit, car stripped down in the garage around 20 minutes ago. That one, to me will also miss the most of this session...

EDIT: Twitter updates said that the Delta Wing's fire extinguisher has fired off and maybe causing some electrical problems. Nothing mechanical.

Go Tom Kristensen!

:D

Competition's good, root for Toyota so that Audi pushes harder ! We want epicness not conformity, and I'm a huge Audi fan :)

But yes, and that time by Nak I believe can be easily out done by the other drivers so I'm expecting more soon.

And man, isn't there anywhere we can see split times? Do want!

Wow, almost an Andy Priaulx accident to the #58 Ferrari. Anyway, is there some sort of lighting at the back of the car numbers on the body panel? Seems like it only lit up when the engine is started...

And a crash for the #29 LOLA at the Dunlop Chicane.

Amazing job by the Toyotas so far. The #7 0.7 seconds behind the lead Audi, bearing in mind the TS030 has had nearly to no testing time at all during the season and the R18 already has a good chunk of racing under its belt.
