If I recall correctly, the Aston Martin LMP duo were the fastest cars in a straight line at Le Mans 2010. I really do miss those Gulf livery'd Astons. They sounded like nothing else on the grid, and they were arguably the best looking LMP cars on the grid as well.

I have to agree, those LMP were awesome to look at and cheer for. Now Aston has to revert back to it's former GT self. Oh well, I think I can safely say who the threat in GT is.

That was free practice. I think the Astons actually hit 350km/h during the race in the evening.

*EDIT* It's not of much importance who was fastest, and who wasn't. It was just something I seem to remember being said on Radio Le Mans during the race that the Aston LMP set the highest speed traps during the race. I've tried finding articles, but there's nothing that seems to result in speed traps for the race itself, only free practice data.

After looking those tables over, Im happy to see the V8 Vantage toward the sharp end of the field with regards to Fast Laps. Mucke is really close to the top, considering the Aston is an "Underdog"

If anyone is interested....I installed tumblr on my iPhone so I can blog, no, post photos of anything I find interesting.

Click!

It's my first time, so I have a few questions. If anybody could answer them that would be great! :D

I'm taking my DSLR with me with some zoom lenses, can I walk through the middle of the circuit or do I have to walk around?

Am I always behind fences or are there 'photo holes', or other nice spots..?

I'll be following the practice session through Radio Le Mans. I guess I won't find a decent until race day, so right now I'll keep things to Radio Le Mans.

I'll try my best to keep you guys filled with info for practice. Everybody else, come and join. I may not be around with you guys for the race as I will be away though...

I will be following both sessions on eurosport ;

18:00Autosport
AUTOSPORT: 24 uur van Le Mans - Free Practise (120min)

22:00Autosport
AUTOSPORT: 24 uur van Le Mans - Qualifying (120min)

Any streaming sites for all of this? Yes, I know, but over here in Mexico is hopeless to expect even a mention of this epic race, much less coverage. I'm planning to try to watch the full race, but it'll all be to no avail if I can't find a decent stream.

You may want to check USTREAM and Justin.tv. I watched the practice last year from both of those sites...

P2P4U.net is also a good streaming website. I always watch F1 races there as well.

Hello again, substantial thread for a substantial race. Looking forward to the race, however unlike last year when I missed all of Free Practice and Qualifying due to exams (but not the race), this year I am working late on Saturday, and then up to Manchester on the Sunday. So I will miss the race, but not FP or Quali.

Tempted to record the whole race on Eurosport :D

I just signed up for eurosport player, figure it's worth it to not have to bother finding working streams. Not to mention the quality seems better than my normal TV picture! (analog cable :yuck:)

omg thanks to everyone who replied, I never thought I'd be given so many options lol. I assume most of these will also have the race next weekend, right?

But my TV coverage starts in around half an hour time. I can't do any streaming though. My internet quota for this month is killing! Thanks to the Nurburgring 24 Hours...

And does anybody know what was the Signatech Nissan doing by going off the track?

#83 Ferrari spun at the last chicane into the tyre barrier. Not damage it seems.

EDIT: Seems like there may be rain on the track.

I'm starting to think Indycar should have gone with the Delta Wing, that thing looks cool as 🤬 driving round the track.
