That Pro driver line up for Aston is formidable.
I've understood from speculation that it was BMW itself who said nay.BMW had a chance to come via ALMS' Team RLL, which is a Mostly-Works team, using last years car- They have an invite from winning the GT Championship last year in the ALMS. But no, the ALMS teams dont seem to think that Le Mans entries are a "Big Deal".... It's not as if RLL has no money...
At least you can add the new Viper to this list soon (it will debut this season at ALMS) and it will probably eventually race at Le Mans too.So, in GTE-Pro it's Ferrari, Corvette, Porsche and Aston Martin. In GTE-Am it's Ferrari, Corvette...Prosche...and Aston Martin....WTF? Where's BMW? Where's Spyker? Where's Ford? I think that just makes it boring when there's the same cars in each class.
Apparently that clip came from Nissan... there's also part 1 to this and it's on the Nissan channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/nissanineurope/videos?query=brundle+diaryThe F1 show, there's a part about the Brundles testing so far. Go to 8:40 to see it.
Yeah but the car itself isn't competitive enough. It doesn't stand much chance with so many Ferraris, Porsches and Corvettes.
If it was on a little more even footing numbers wise it might have a chance on reliability but as it is they are going to be hard-pressed to even make the GT podium.
And this is the car which has really suffered with reliability. Now that Prodrive are fully focusing on it, it should be a fair bit better but they are certainly no where near the favourites like they were in the DBR9 years - regardless of who the drivers are.
Dailysportscar have done some nice group guilds this year.

Dutch television (RTL7) is showing all 24 hours of Le Mans, Live. How awesome is that!

Speed is broadcasting 25 hours!
If they will, it will be restricted to onboard feed like on Audi's website. Eurosport has somewhat exclusive rights to race, and unfortunately that exclusive deal predates WEC and ACO's live streaming plans, so even ACO themselves can't stream it.Will Toyota TMG broadcast this on their website?
With 23 hours of commercials that is.
Can't be worse than F1 on FOX earlier today. A commercial break every 4-5 laps.
For those of you who are Bored/Pumped like me, heres the 2010 Le Mans 24
Nice, I'll watch it on Eurosport 1 & 2, 24h broadcast too.
