Also SimRaceway deserve a big thanks for hosting the guide this year and putting up the JPEG version 👍

That Pro driver line up for Aston is formidable.

Yeah but the car itself isn't competitive enough. It doesn't stand much chance with so many Ferraris, Porsches and Corvettes.
If it was on a little more even footing numbers wise it might have a chance on reliability but as it is they are going to be hard-pressed to even make the GT podium.
And this is the car which has really suffered with reliability. Now that Prodrive are fully focusing on it, it should be a fair bit better but they are certainly no where near the favourites like they were in the DBR9 years - regardless of who the drivers are.

BMW had a chance to come via ALMS' Team RLL, which is a Mostly-Works team, using last years car- They have an invite from winning the GT Championship last year in the ALMS. But no, the ALMS teams dont seem to think that Le Mans entries are a "Big Deal".... It's not as if RLL has no money...

The Judd engine in the Pescarolo 03/AMR One is the same one the use in the LMP2 Judd/BMW cars, right?

The F1 show, there's a part about the Brundles testing so far. Go to 8:40 to see it.

I've understood from speculation that it was BMW itself who said nay.

So, in GTE-Pro it's Ferrari, Corvette, Porsche and Aston Martin. In GTE-Am it's Ferrari, Corvette...Prosche...and Aston Martin....WTF? Where's BMW? Where's Spyker? Where's Ford? I think that just makes it boring when there's the same cars in each class.
At least you can add the new Viper to this list soon (it will debut this season at ALMS) and it will probably eventually race at Le Mans too.

It seemed to really hold its own at Seca this year, up until it had to drop back (I forget why--penalty or wreck or something).

But if it's unreliable that will be the penultimate reason it loses here. I follow Melo's 458 almost religiously. Why? He's fun to watch, has tons of speed and gobbles up deficits. He's aggressive and unforgiving to race with. But it's always short lived. He either wrecks the car, or it has mechanical issues. Last year's Le Mans wasn't his fault (at least I think he's who came into contact with McNish), but many times it is.

I'll follow Luxury Racing closely again this year, but I don't expect the results seen by someone like Corvette. I also hope the Aston does somewhat well, but we'll see.

Dutch television (RTL7) is showing all 24 hours of Le Mans, Live. How awesome is that!

Less than a week away boys and gals! I'm pumped and you should be to. Any of my peeps from the Daytona 24 watching? That was a great day/night/morning and I'm hoping to repeat it with you guys for Le Mans! :)

Dear Le Mans: I love you so much I'll make my final essay for one of the classes I'm taking before the due date so I can watch you from beggining to end. I'm also telling my friends and girlfriend to get lost that weekend. And I'm buying some cans of RedBull just so I don't miss a minute of you. I love you, and I thank you for coming again this year!

This week is Le Mans week, can't wait!!! :D :D :D I hope this forum has a lively and interesting discussion like last year that tought me a thing or two and helped me with keeping awake.

Stoked for Le Mans! I've already made plans to stay at a friend's place, 'cause he's got an excelent internet connection that isn't capped to a measly 5GB

Wah, I'm jealous of all of you.

As usual, Australia gets, shall I say it politely, screwed over once again. As far as I can see, no live coverage whatsoever. At least on our free channels. The internet it is then.

For those of you who are Bored/Pumped like me, heres the 2010 Le Mans 24

And remember, it wasn't really the faulty conrods...

Amazing, amazing video from the official ALMS YT channel. An american perspective. Dempsey's emotional words were a surprise.

One to keep and watch many times over. 👍
