For those of you who are Bored/Pumped like me, heres the 2010 Le Mans 24

That was the first Le Mans 24hrs that I've watched live from start to finish.

Couldn't watch last year's live because I was at Silverstone for the 3 days of the British MotoGP, so I had no idea what had happened at Le Mans, or the Canadian GP for that matter as all 3 were on the same weekend. :ill:

What good motorsport or Le Mans type forum or website would you recommend? I heard Planet Le Mans is pretty good..

Thanks kind sir, much appreciated :)

No-one mention the fact that I work for them...

Great stuff, I think we're contacts on Flickr? Do you know Nick Busato? I know he shoots for them as well. I also think Jason Boone does as well, he's a user on here.

Le Mans preview by Allan McNish. Last part is very interesting because he is talking about the Toyotas. I didn't know this, but apparently on the closing minutes of the Test Day Wurz had to abort (due to red flags) a lap where he had the best time in the HUGE second sector, from the Tertre Rouge to Indianapolis if I got it correctly.

McNish falls short of saying it, but it looks like his own best lap (of all) on Test Day was at peril had Wurz been able to complete his own at race speed.

Allan McNish is such a wonderful driver both professionally and as a person. I love when drivers have their own video logs. It feels like they want to stay personally in touch with all their fans and friends by making a video by themselves instead of answering some chosen questions by a reporter.

I will admit I've never really cheered heavily for the Audis given their dominance, but you just have to be a fan of such an honest and good guy as Allan 👍

Being added to OP, thanks 👍 !!

No problem!

I think we are, yes (I'm listed as Adam Pigott Photography)! Your right about Nick - he's a staff photographer for l'endurance and James occasionally contributes when he can, I think, I'm not entirely sure on the situation. Glad you like it though!

24 Hours of Le Mans 2012 - Scrutineering Monday 11st of june

4:30 - Delta-wing

6:10 - Toyota TS030 Hybrid!!! 👍 :)

Only last night did I find out that there's no TV coverage of the race here in Aust.

It has been on the last 2 or 3 years. But this year no. Perhaps the netball rates really well

It will have to be 'net streaming for me.

Meanwhile I have been informed that some friends invited me and the mrs. to dinner out next saturday :grumpy: so I have been looking for good LIVE iPhone apps to keep in touch with the race. I already downloaded the official one . Funny thing, it's still the 2011 app I had last year and deleted after, with the ILMC and all ... but it recognizes this year's race.

If there is another out there I should know about please someone tell me.

JRM will have onboard stream: http://www.jrm-group.com

Fans will be able to follow the progress of car #22 live throughout the 24 hours of racing from a camera mounted on the front of the team’s Honda HPD-ARX-03a.

Interspersing the coverage will be live interviews from the pit lane with World Series by Renault pit lane reporter, Gemma Scott, to give a complete insight of JRM’s debut Le Mans 24 Hours race progress. Gemma will be catching up with the drivers after each stint, mechanics as they follow the race in the garage, plus following any news stories live from the pit wall with insights from chief engineer, Nigel Stepney, and team owner, James Rumsey.

Coverage will start immediately before the start of the race at 15:00hrs CET on Saturday 16 June and finish just after the conclusion of the race at 15:00hrs CET Sunday 17 June.

The stream will also be shown on http://www.crash.net and http://www.speedhunters.com

Good.

Given that I can't get the Eurosport player that I've paid for to work on my PC, it looks like I'll be watching the race from a couple of onboards then.

The nightly 'Le Mans 24 minutes' programmes have started on Eurosport, tonights episode start at 9:15 GMT

I've had a quick look on Youtube for Mondays edition but nothing up-loaded yet, they had interviews with Capello, McNish and Kristensen along with a piece about the Gt Acadamy drivers.

I'm sure you'll find it somewhere ;) It's a pain that you've paid though :(

Great read, love the percentage for all the teams, nice addition. :)👍

So from McNish's interview I'm led to believe the TS030 has the straight line speed, while the R18 performs better through the corners. Sounds similar to the difference between the 908 and the R15. I'm going to be overly optimistic now, but I think we may be in for a surprise. McNish really seems to believe Toyota will bring the fight to Audi this weekend.

^^^^ Apparently that is what the test day allows us to assume. The Audis were on top of the lap time charts, but the Toyotas were on top the top speed charts.

As you can see here:

That Delta Wing is quick!!!

And if what I heard in an interview is correct, we don't even know HOW quick because the ACO capped their max speed for the race.

Do bear in mind it was an Indycar concept so it can't have been that slow.
