We've still got less than 17 hours to go and people are already declaring Audi the victor?

COME ON!

I don't think we're lucky enough to get a different result now.

I'm just hoping at least one of the leading Audis fails now so Heidfeld can get on the podium.

What's the point of racing Le Mans with 300hp, even with a experimental car. Makes zero sense to me, they can only fail no matter the car.
Half the power, half the weight, half the drag, half the fuel consumption. Makes a lot of sense to have a car like that, even if it's only being used for experimental reasons.

With Toyota, I think what I'll be disappointed with is we won't get to see the reliability of the machine because both machines have been taken out of contention by driver error (both driving the Toyota or external source).

There's always next year, when they'll have a proper car for sure. They weren't even supposed to run 2 cars this year, the ACO asked them to

And the crash, the only thing this useless car did was being in the wrong place at the wrong time, crashing with the wrong car.
That's a brilliant point, actually. If the Deltawing simply ceased to exist on a physical plane, then Nakajima wouldn't have been able to hit anything.

What were Nissan thinking?

NISSAN DELTA FAIL.

RACE IS 🤬 OVER. Damn.

It's also 1/2 the weight, has 1/2 the drag and goes nearly as fast as an lmp. Please, if you are going to start an argument please revise the subject.

Actually it was supposed to be the next indy car. But they turned them down.

True, "too radical" according to the Indy people. It's a brilliant idea though and I'm a huge fan.

Yeah that crossed my mind also. People talk about Toyotas experience of years past but so much has changed it doesn't mean much. When you get back into it, the first year will always herald problems. I think next year will bring results.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Well, it was rebuilt for Le Mans so I guess I still may have a point. Right? :P

Oh I love it! I have no problem at all with the DW running at le mans!
Just a shame it's badly damaged atm, it was doing pretty good

Looks like an all Audi podium this year.

Maybe the Audi cars will slow down at the end of the race and get close to each other for the photographs and end up crashing.

Us Toyota fans are getting desperate. :(

German commentators just mentioned that the Audi's lights are so damn bright that people can barely make out where the R18 is exactly :odd: The hell did they use for headlamps? Sauron's eye?

Made me LOL, here's 1$

That would be the funniest thing. But I bet they rehearse that famous side by side thing they do.
