I don't support Porsche but I was willing Mark to do really well. He is new to the LMP scene in the WEC; though he has raced before at Le Mans of course in the Merecedes with Peter Dumbreck and everyone made such a lot of this big move from F1 to Sportscar Racing.

Might as well stop watching now, this was a such a good race, and now it's ending like it always does since the last few years. :indiff: 👎

Cheers Guys!

The #8 Toyota ran trouble free, it was only in the pits because a Ferrari rammed it off the track.
The TS040 is pretty reliable, the issue in the #7 was something Toyota never experienced before.

#20 Porsche retired.

It ran it self off track and the Ferrari caught the Audi

Aaaaand back. I stopped watching about 3.5 hours ago. What has happened since? :0

Toyota on P1, retires
Audi has problem with turbo, garage, get's out
Porsche #20 takes lead
Audi #2 too fast and overtook
Porsche #20 retires
Same results like the last years (Audi P1 - P2)

No the 8 blew into that on his own. The Ferrari was following, looked even faster actually, but was not a factor in Lapierre losing it. And that 8 was in and out of the garage during the night with various issues.

Issues for LMP1 cars.

Audi #1: Apparently steering issues causing early first stop. Injector issues losing it a few laps. Turbo issues meaning more laps lost.
Audi #2: Turbo issues losing it a few laps.
Audi #3: Taken out.

Porsche #20: Boost issues early on. Nursing an issue with the front of the car apparently but just retired with a potential engine problem.
Porsche #12: I forgot.

Toyota #7: Wiring Loom/Electrical Failure while leading. Out.
Toyota #8: Lapierre crashing in a downpour whilst driving too fast. Lost 2 laps thanks to aero balance issues.

They had to earn it though.

Doesn't change the fact for me that it's still boring. Yes, the #2 car did really work to get back on P1, but to be honest without the Toyota retireing and Porsche #20 having problems since mid way with their hybrid system (not working) it was a lot of luck involved as well, Audi wouldn't be on P1 as of right now, and that would've been nice to have for a change.

Ugh, so I came back just in time to see the #20 Porsche retire.

Eh, well. Another year, another win for Audi, as I said hours ago when Toyota died.

Agreed. I can take an Audi 1-2 (And the fanboy smugness that follows) because they had to fight for this one. Usually they've walked away with the fastest car. You do sometimes wish Audi got the same bad luck their competitors do!

Question here but why doesn't Toyota or Porsche for that matter run 3 cars, seems to be favoring Audi alot.

Also feel for Toyota, was their best chance of a win. With more entries entering LMP1, will only get tougher.

Also, now that LMP1 is sown up, cast your eyes down to GTE-Pro...battle for 2nd is now down to 20 seconds.
LMP1 isn't sown up both of these Audi's will run out of fuel on the last lap and the beautiful Toyota will win, maybe wishful thinking...
