Doesn't change the fact for me that it's still boring. Yes, the #2 car did really work to get back on P1, but to be honest without the Toyota retireing and Porsche #20 having problems since mid way with their hybrid system (not working) it was a lot of luck involved as well, Audi wouldn't be on P1 as of right now, and that would've been nice to have for a change.
I agree we need a change but it's Toyota and Porsche fault not only the Audi being lucky.
 
Question here but why doesn't Toyota or Porsche for that matter run 3 cars, seems to be favoring Audi alot.

Also feel for Toyota, was their best chance of a win. With more entries entering LMP1, will only get tougher.

They were talking about that on Eurosport. But like in the BTCC with Honda Yuasa, yes they dominate, but they do have two race winning drivers in Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal. Audi have a stellar line-up like Lucas Di Grassi, Tom Kristensen, Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fassler. Not so much a case of quantity over quality as quality over quantity. We all rant about the numerical advantage Audi have but look who they have. I think though if Toyota and Porsche do bring out a 3rd car next year and do well I think it will do more with who they have than the fact they built a third car.
 
As much as it's kinda tiresome that it's gonna be yet another Audi 1-2, I still think this year has been the best Le Mans in years. For the first time in a long time LMP1 has been a legitimate battle, not just Audi running away with it, and all 3 manufacturers have led and had mechanical issues. It's been a brilliant race if you think about it, and to only be decided with just over 90 minutes to go is pretty intense, considering most of the time the race is sown up by Audi by 3/4 distance at the very latest.

Also much like Honda Yuasa, having a huge manufacturer budget and years of experience in this racing discipline helps a lot. That's the toughest part, Audi have basically been here for so long that teams joining now have to stick around for many years just to keep up.
 
I honestly don't mind Audi winning. Would've loved to see Porsche take it, but that was just unrealistic.

But damn, I'm still holding onto hope that the 'Vette can pull it off!

They may have the drivers, but I feel for outright pace the Toyota is the better car (not that unreliable too), had the number 8 avoided the crash it would have been fighting for the lead now, a third car certainly improves your chances by a significant bit. So is it a cost issue or do they not have a third driver line up?
