Man, between Brad Kettler on the Fix coverage and Leena Gade about to be on RLM... As a die hard Audi fan boy I'm having some serious withdrawals. :indiff:

I'd have to agree too to be honest. As much as I love the Ford's especially the way they sound, the scream that comes from the high-revving flat-six in the 911 RSR is something to behold as well .

I think we're getting to the point where the Porsche won't be able to catch the LMP2's with a perfect run from the remainder of the race. Maybe the overall podium is possible.

LMP 1 rn: Toyota Toyota Toyota... and then theres a lonely Porsche

EDIT: the driver of the #1 Porsche is reporting some sort of vibration

Sounds like they are putting the #2 Porsche back together. They are doing a test run of the driveshafts in the garage.

Until you see them in person, at which point the Ford's blow you away. Seriously, they are loud. The Ferrari's are absolutely silent in comparison.

A bit sad seeing my fellow countryman Konstantīns Calko running in 57th, last place among those still competing. It's the first time a Latvian is competing at Le Mans.

Whilst I've unfortunately not heard them in person, the Porsche and Ford dominate things sound wise, particularly the Ford, which I love it's deep guttural bellow of a V6. The two V8's of the 'Vette and Aston are distinctive, but don't seem as loud, whereas, even on TV, the Ferrari sounds very quiet, and quite cack in my opinion, certainly nowhere near as nice as the Porsche or Ford.

I've seen them at Spa. Even with earplugs, the Fords are incredibly loud. They have this deep rumble that even shakes in your chest. I love the Ford GT, it looks and sounds absolutely fantastic.

The V8 is overrated, but that is only my opinion. As good as the Aston looks, the V8 sound is nothing too special.

The only cars that come close to the Ford's noise level would be the LMP2 cars, they are really loud as well.

A man from Porsche has just said on Eurosport that the #2 will take another 50 minutes to repair and get back out on track, unless he actually said 15 minutes, and of course assuming that interview was live

The response to my asking for a refund.

Sorry but as you subscribed to a full season package we cannot provide refund.

Both website and app are working.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

The WEC page takes several minutes to login when it does the only thing that works is the damn clock.

Never again FIA/ACO...🤬

Does anyone know the back story on Yuji Kunimoto? He's the one guy in the LMP1 cars that I don't know anything about. Where did Toyota find him?

He's been making his way through the Japanese open wheel ladder and raced in Super Formula last year.

Yea I'm the same with V8's, not a big V8 guy. But when it comes to V8's I prefer the higher revving, more raspy sounds of a flat-plane crank V8, but the Ferrari isn't a good example of that as far as I'm concerned. The LMP2's on the other hand are much better, and they sound loud and piercing even with my earphones on, so God knows how loud they sound in person .

Trust me, the Vette is extremely loud in person. The ground shakes whenever it goes thundering by.

Side note: the Ford sounds gross.

I was at the Belle Isle GP a couple weeks ago, and as much as I hate these LMP2 regs with spec engines, 2 of the IMSA cars were running that Gibson and it sounds unreal in person. Hearing so many of the same engine on track at once here keeps feeling weird to me, just watching the TV coverage, but I will say that Gibson is an aggressive sounding motor. Especially on the down shift, the way that things spits is wild.

To be honest I can full well imagine, having heard a straight piped Vaxuhall VXR8 go by at full chat; not quite the same level of a GTE 'Vetter I know . But in generally, I'm not too fussed by the way it sounds, doesn't sound as nice as a good V6 IMO.
