Right now there was an accident between the #28 LMP2 and the #82 Risi Ferrari. LMP2 turned across into the Ferrari, causing this slow zone, to fix the barrier.
Wow, what a mistake from the LMP2 driver. In a 24h race, he should be more careful.

When Rob Kauffman swerved into Mike Rockenfeller in 2011 he wasn't aloud to return to the car. Wonder why Francois Perrodo isn't getting a similar... never mind, as I checked my spotter guide to spell his name I realized he's French.

Whilst I've unfortunately not heard them in person, the Porsche and Ford dominate things sound wise, particularly the Ford, which I love it's deep guttural bellow of a V6. The two V8's of the 'Vette and Aston are distinctive, but don't seem as loud, whereas, even on TV, the Ferrari sounds very quiet, and quite cack in my opinion, certainly nowhere near as nice as the Porsche or Ford.
I'm just catching up in this thread.
I've seen all in person at multiple tracks and I'm telling you the Corvette is by far the loudest. You hear it coming from a mile away and it shakes the ground when it passes, it's roar is deafening. The Ford GT sounds like a wet fart, horrible in my opinion and isn't overly loud, and this is putting all bias aside. The new 911RSR's are ear piercing loud, sound great. The Ferrari 488's are much quieter than the older 458's which sounded great with a high pitch scream. Aston's sound like a quieter toned down Corvette.

Well, if my farts sounded like the Ford GT LM I'd be very impressed :sly:.

Joking aside though, as much as I don't really care for cross-plane V8's, having heard a similarly rumbly V8 in person, you can feel it vibrate, such is the nature of the sound and it's vibrations. However, I'd love to go to a WEC race, ideally Le Mans, hopefully soon, and here them all in person, as it'd be quite the experience.

Kauffman was totally innocent. The traffic CCTV fixed camera showed that. Token German was the 100% guilty party. Hall was also booted from the race for doing a similar thing to this. He has always said he didn't see the other guy. This idiot doesn't have an excuse.

Kauffman was parked because in the drivers meeting they were instructed to hold their when LMP1 cars were coming up on them, but Kauffman failed to do that.

Was just watching the race a minute ago and noticed a UFO on the track.

It was hard to make out as it blurred past, but there appeared to be writing on the side that said 'Tota'?... :D

Mario Andretti on the Faux Sports stream... Mentioned the potential of a 3 generation Andretti team... Please make it happen motorsport gods!!!

World feed wasnt showing it, but the #8 Toyota did make it around the #1 and gapped him a bit. Both are now in the pit.

Perrodo hasn't hit anybody as far as I'm aware, he went off on his own at Indianapolis but doesn't deserve a ban for that.

True, as I think about it now Kauffman had been blamed for another incident in 2011 I think... don't remember but I seem to remember there was something.

Anyone have a link to a good live timing page? I can't get the WEC page to work, and the Le Mans website page is kind of meh.

He did hold his line. The CCTV proved that. The rule was, and still is, slower car stays on the racing line and the faster car passes.

Did Lotterer let him past?

Doubt it. Porsche not working as well as the temperature gets lower?

The stewards probably considered that run between Mulsanne and Indianapolis to be a straight even with the slight kinks in it. I'd be willing to bet there's an implication there.

They are, I see now they have made 1 more stop than everyone else so they must've had an issue. I was gonna say, if they weren't then whoever was in that car had made up like 30 seconds lol.
Yeah, they had to stop and shut the right door, because it wasn't latched properly, after they had made a pit stop.

I know I've said multiple times I'm not a big V8 guy, but the Aston's V8's make such a dirty sound, probably the best sounding cross-plane V8 in existence IMO, really challenges want I know and dislike about V8's .

Tell you what, I know it's his 1st LM, but Richard Wee in the #60 is doing a good job of mimicking what Tracy Krohn usually does, with the number of spins into the gravel he's had .
