No. That's physically impossible. In a completely parallel world, things that are possible but incredibly unrealistic happen. That's impossible.

Ah-ha, but it's techically not impossible per say, just enormously unrealistic, unlikely and stupid

Also AMR have been entering 4-5 cars a year for like 5 years.... and it's not worked out... yet.

Edit: 95 flying, damn.

4 LMP1 cars have had mechanical failures in 11 hours. Nobody call it done with 13 hours to go. If it doesn't have any problems, if my math is right the #2 should move into 2nd overall somewhere in the 22nd hour.

I'll probably never understand why people stop respecting the work and effort other teams put into this race as soon as their favourite team drops out of the race.
Porsche had nothing to do with the #7 and #9 dying. So why would you now wish/like to see the Porsche losing the race?

To be fair, I will never fail to admire, and have the up-most respect for the drivers, mechanics, engineers and the manufactures who compete at Le Man. After all, it's not the most grueling race for no reason, and I think a lot of it is fueled by emotions running high, plus Toyota's horrendous luck and reputation when it comes to the great race. And it's that classic, "the favorite and the underdog", where many want the underdog to win.

So no, I at least, and I'd imagine it's the same with many, will never dis-respect Porsche's efforts, regardless of whether I like/support them or not.

Because Porsche hitting trouble will put #8 back in contention? Don't act like this is due to a deep hatred of Porsche, its just how fans of any team in any sport think like.

No, it won't. If #1 goes out, #2 will win. If both Porsches go out, an LMP2 will win. For #8 to be in contention, you'd need not just the 2 919s, but also several LMP2s to fail.

The #8 car would win LMP1 if the #1 and #2 retire and the #8 makes it to the end, but even then it would not win outright.

I think people have seen so much bad luck for Hugues de Chaunac's Toyota cars over the past few years that one of his Oreca's taking the win would be a feel-good story.
You can't make Porsche the villain, just because Toyota suffers from a huge amount of bad luck. Porsche did nothing wrong so there's no reason to hope that they won't get rewarded for their work. It's the same with people hating on Audi, simply because they always put the most work and effort into their cars/projects and are successful due to that (don't know how it is international, but in Germany a lot of people hate Audi when it comes to racing for that kind of reason).
I think a lot of people seem to forget that Porsche doesn't want to race/win that way themselves. They'd rather fight for it with Toyota than just win, because Toyota had bad luck.

This so much.

I remember last year, that Porsche expressed the gratitude and respect to Toyota for their great battle, and their empathy after being so close, and incredibly unlucky with the mechanical failure, so there's no doubt Porsche would prefer the battle.

I agree entirely, I don't wish anything bad on Porsche, as you said it's not their fault. It's Ford's. I continue to hope they all break down!
