I'm so gutted about Toyota though, woke up to a text from my buddy saying that a LMP2 could win this years Le Mans and my reaction to that was quite literally "What the 🤬"

Hahahaha. ohhhhhhhh. You think they could bring the artist back in for a touch-up?
Nah, I'd leave the original as is. They should send the artist to the Pratt & Miller guys to start making some replicas for once that original gets hung in gallery.

That is/was everybody's reaction.

Also, nice Avatar, I love The Midnight

@Amac500 well, I guess that could work, if this car never sees a museum

Yeah I still can't believe what happened to the Toyota's, BUT, remember early in the race? I know on the Fox broadcast the commentators were noticing how much more of the curbs the Toyota's were using, especially in the Ford chicane. Makes you wonder.

Personally I just remember how their lead car for most of the '16 race damaged the undertray in that minor off in the second chicane, and had that not happened they still would've won. Bet ya that game plan changes next year.

Valid point there

In response to @Amac500's challenge:

This one had me thinking for a long while, but here goes

WEC Car 1: Jenson Button, James Hinchcliffe, Jann Mardenborough,
WEC Car 2: Fernando Alonso, James Rossiter, Tom Kristensen (kind of had to be really)
Le Mans car 3: Nico Hulkenberg, Manabu Orido/Juichi Wakisaka (can't decide), Sebastien Loeb,

As for the team itself, well I'd be torn between a Honda backed, NSX GTE-Pro effort, or a remarkable return for Mazda, with an LMP (be it Hybrid or what not sure with regs). No idea if any of the above driver combo's are legal, but I really can't be bothered to check at the moment .

Just imagine that #1 Porsche breaking something and being pushed into the garage for an hour and a half. One can hope.

Mazda Vision GT IRL and there you go

Oh my God, how on Earth didn't I think of Loeb?? Alright, I'm officially switching Alex Brundle out of my 3rd car for Loeb. I suppose I would go with... Mercedes as my manufacturer, because I could count on long term support so long as I kept my cars inside the track limits (and by limits I mean walls).

Yea, I literally had the light-bulb moment when making that line-up, kind of a perfect candidate really, after his drive in the Pescarolo's 10+ years ago.

Saying Mercedes would be the hypothetical manufacturer of my P1 team got me thinking what's in my opinion the best looking Le Mans car, the C11.

Because I'm tired of people wishing that Porsche drops out, just because Toyota couldn't get it done again. Such thinking doesn't belong to Le Mans, where teams always show the highest respect for each other.

I really like Porsche, wouldn't I be working for Toyota, I'd actually be very pleased with how things have turned out.

Oh well, but I'm glad that Niki's AM is currently leading GTPro

It's nothing against Porsche, we're just keeping ourselves awake lol

I still maintain that the Toyota GT-One TS020, is by far the best looking Le Mans car (if not race car actually) ; particularly in '98 Zent GT1 form, and my favourite race car of all time
