Those LMP1 cars have been garbage this year. How can that even happen to teams like Toyota and Porsche? It's not like it's been their first LMP1 car that they had to built.
Constantly using less of everything each year by the regulations and still finding the performance via development and pushing the limits equals things go wrong.

First chinese driver and team with the chance to win le mans. Wow.

Now the #2 can't make a single mistake or have a single issue to avoid that and take the win.

Pushed out of the way for safety. Can restart if it can.

By my approximation, the #2 can catch the #38 by 3/4ths of a lap per hour, which means he should catch the #38 with about 45 minutes to go, presuming there are no problems and no slow zones. Remember, the #1 car had been running for 45 minutes longer than the #2, so they may not be out of the woods yet if it's a part issue.

Who would have thought when the #2 Porsche had to go in the garage to fix their MGU. They would have to fight for an overall victory, at this point. I'm glad I stayed up for this race, after the Toyota's dropped like flies.

Edit: #2 pushing like hell again using the shoulders on Mulsanne.

Lottier doesn't have his helmet on anymore. Looks like they are done.

I'm convinced it's an heat issue and it's only getting warmer. The #2 did have the front end rebuilt earlier in the race so it should be fresher. But they've been pushing it a lot harder than the other car (The #1 had been cruising since about 13hrs).

The #1 car's issue being totally separate from the MGU is my concern. I doubt any of the cars have had a 24 hour endurance test in this heat.

yeah, and with all the risks it has been taking it could get a puncture, break something. So we just have to sit back and watch.

I also hate these slow zones They make it look like they have problems.

It still bothers me how I still can't watch this. I'm not sure on which channel do they broadcast this right now.

Sorry for offtopic.
