I guess the 2030mm for the Bentley are without mirrors. The 2224mm for the M8 are with mirrors, without it is 2046mm. That makes the M8 GTE without mirrors exactly as wide as the M6 GT3 (also without mirrors).

Makes sense because 20cm difference is seriously a lot.

I’m loving how the Australian Eurosport feed will give us race footage sans commentary for a few minutes rather than playing ad breaks. Love just listening to the raw sound of the cars.

Looks like the slow zone has come to an end: marshals have removed the cones at Tertre Rouge where the drain cover work was carried out.

How long until the drain cover comes back up? :P

In other news the Jenson Button car is up to 5th place in LMP1. And 47th overall.

Currently chanel hoping between the ford gt stream with radio lm and the Alpine 470.
Crank up the volume and listen to the alpine coming out of the slow zone

does anybody know an thing about Toyotas team policy? Fo they want Alonso to win or can the two race each other unlimited?

Ideally they probably want #8 to cross the line first, but I doubt they'd order #7 to slow down if #8 is, say, a minute adrift. Also, Toyota seem to be running a very conservative strategy, and don't want the two cars racing door to door in case they take each other out. All the drivers probably have been briefed to keep overtakes as safe and clean as possible - no dive bombing etc.
