Ideally they probably want #8 to cross the line first, but I doubt they'd order #7 to slow down if #8 is, say, a minute adrift. Also, Toyota seem to be running a very conservative strategy, and don't want the two cars racing door to door in case they take each other out. All the drivers probably have been briefed to keep overtakes as safe and clean as possible - no dive bombing etc.
Toyota Team manager was giving an interview and answered to that exact question: thats a decision we are looking to at the moment... awkwardly smiling... so the plan from the night isn’t fix it seems.
 
I just don't understand the directors of this race. An intense fight between 2 GTE Pro cars and you cut away to a highlight package?

I like how mad it's been driving the commentators all race. I bet there will be some back and forth post race. :lol: Hopefully it results in even better coverage next year. 👍

Whoever this is, he/she should be dragged out onto the start/finish straight and flogged. Amateur hour stuff...
