I wonder if that will change if a penalty is given for the pitstop incident and #8 comes out behind...
Don't see why it should. They had a 60 second penalty earlier and the lead car miraculously failed to defend a two and a half minute lead. This has been contrived from the get go. They just lack the balls to admit it.

I think that would fall under driver/team error. I'm curious what the rules state as it does seem like a safety issue.

Rebellion ought to be given a class victory because it seems they really are LMP1-b and the Toyota hybrids are LMP1-a.

Sucks for them, the Ligier still isn't as quick as the Oreca but they had done a good job getting through the race cleanly (aside from Montoya's off), this kills the chance of a podium.

My daughter loves the Porsche 911 pink pig for the color. I love it for the history. If the Corvette can't catch'em, I hope the pink pig wins GTE.
I can see the reaction of the 917/20 in the Museum in Germany with its front lights a bit humid...

Yeah, if you look at the race with a cold heart, the entire thing is a laughable farce. There is no real way but failure that could make Toyota loose this race. It was destined to suck from the get-go.
