Being slow used to be my job in the old championship. Ah well. I guess practice makes perfect.
We've all been slow at some point, even me, that crazy guy who thinks he's the Stig
Seriously though, I would've been about 5 seconds off the pace a year ago had I owned F1 2010 back then (didn't get it until June). And I don't think I ever completed a race on F1 2010 without spinning/mini-spinning at least once
I improved a lot on F1 2011, the physics are more suited to my driving style now, especially with the rear of the car (my first trophy was the drifting one

) I found that it was way easier to push in this game, and this helped me a lot. I was able to actually develop the consistency to drive a full race without making any spins/crashes. This meant that I could focus on little things that would improve my time rather then focusing on getting around with messing up.
Right now I'm just working on my track knowledge and driving lines, because I think this is costing me 1-1.5 seconds a lap. In the past I've mainly improvised during the corners. I used the driving line, and all I knew were my gear numbers for every corner. I sort of knew my braking points give or take 25m and I had no idea what speed to be in during a corner, I just did it by feel

Now I'm starting to develop detailed and much more precise lines, which has been shaving off lots if time

I'm always trying to improve to become faster then the real Stig, and I'm learning little things all the time so that one day, I'll be faster then him
And the final part of this long post which was probably difficult to read, is a question. Does anyone know if the weight transfer techniques were implemented in the game, and how(/if) they work, because they confuse me
And did you know that ducks are typically bigger then whales, and that they are faster drivers then Felipe Massa
