Hey fresh, Sorry to tell you this, but I'll be online but won't be able to make the race. Serious things going on in the team. If however there is some sort of delay, I'll make sure to jump in your room ASAP.

Hope you make it!

INTRODUCTION

The Autodromo Nazionale Monza (known as Monza for short) is a race track located near the town of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. The circuit's biggest event is the Formula One Italian Grand Prix, which has been hosted there since the sport's inception. Built in the Royal Villa of Monza park in a woodland setting, the 5.793 kilometres (3.6 miles) Grand Prix track, plays host to our 90s FIA GT/LM Round 3.

The major features of the track include the Curva Grande, the Curva di Lesmo, the Variante Ascari and the Curva Parabolica. The high speed curve, "Curva Grande", is located after the Variante del Rettifilo chicane which is located at the end of the front straight or Rettifilo Tribune. This is taken flat out by our cars leading to the 2nd chicane. The track also features 3 major straights with speeds reaching 320kmh+, followed by tight chicanes and the infamous Variante Ascari. The longest straight measures 950Meters (.6 mile). Can you stand atop the podium in Italy and conquer 'de Monza'?

RACE DETAILS

Race room will open ~6:00pm est. (Friday) with qualifying starting ~6:45-7:00pm (provided enough entries). Qualifying settings will be fuel consumption/tire wear on FAST while race setting will be NORMAL

TIRE USAGE

I'm done being tossed around. This is the last time I'm getting looked at as a sheepshagger in GT5. I may be a sub-race car racer... but the buck stops right here, right now, in this 90 degree heat and 35% humidity

Edit: Carnby did call it off... :) btw Carnby I'm in GTS not GT1. Kinda hard to distinguish at Monza, but wait for tracks that have turns galore in it.

Good race, everyone. I made no driving mistakes and my wheel only messed up once! But even if it didn't, I still would have stayed 4th, looking at the timings, probably because I messed up my strategy and the initial strategy I had wasn't good anyway. I'm aiming for a podium finish for the Sunday race, perhaps a win!

Great racing. Everyone had issues in GT1. I had a phone call late in the race, CJ had connection issues, nforspeed also had a call.

Add to that, I was getting rear-ended and rammed by GTS cars in the early stages. Still, I was probably the only GT1 car that did a one-stop race. S:censored:, I was probably the only driver in the whole field who did a one-stop race. Still had to fight a GTS car for position in the late stages. But overall, I think starting on the mediums and finishing on the softs was a good call.

I was doing a 1 stop race as well

I did a one stop race... but since I put on softs on during the pitstop, I had to re-pit and put on Mediums.
GT5 didn't give me my pit potions until I was in my pit stall :/

I did a 3 stopper  Too much ballast to keep competitive lap times for such long stints. Looking forward to Sunday. Itll be even tougher.

Hey. Just letting you know I'm not racing this evening, I had a rough night and feel too tired to be competitive.
Have a good race.
See you on Friday.

I have failed a LOT of times in my career.... I think this one even trumps my famous "Nur 24 Failure." And trust me... it's the reason why I don't race the R390 in anything anymore.

Whats the R390 have to do with your position?

You weren't there for that race... trust me it's twice as horrendous as my most recent symphony.

Well lets leave other experiences out of the picture for this series. I'll have the results up later. I also need someone who can keep track of the points and ballast by making tables. If anyone could help out with that please inform me!
