The Toyota is done. LaPierre broke the rules like a noob. Audi will file a complaint most likely. They should just shut down the Toyota garage now so they don't let them take the risk of going back out there for nothing.

Saw a driver from one of the spun LMP2 cars do it as well.

If the only help he got was the tractor getting him out of dangerous place there is no issue with the rules.

He walked more than ten meters away from the car apparently, which is an instant retirement.

Who cares how far away a drivers walks away from his car? It doesn't make any difference.

Drivers are not allowed to be more than a certain distance from the cars and still get back in, I think Eurosport said it was 30ft... though I've no idea if he did walk that far from the car or not.

And it's a stupid and completely pointless rule. It doesn't give them any advantage either way, so just let it go. :grumpy:

What he said, it's roughly that IIRC...

Does it really matter with the 7 Toyota? It's not like they're going to win.
Track looks wet on one side, and dry on another.

I disagree. I think Toyota should continue to run the car as long as the car is capable of running, unless the Stewards specifically stops them. If Audi, or anyone else, brings a complaint after the fact, then so be it, and both parties will lawyer up then to argue the case. However, there is a possibility that if the #7 Toyota in question ends up being way down in the standings because of the time required for repairs, Audi would just let it go, you know, to not rub salt in the wounds. There should be no reason that Toyota volunteer to give up in this case.

Apparently the windscreen wiper on the Audi is the wrong size. You spend all this time and money building a car and the windscreen wiper is too long? that's why we have windscreen cleaners

They seem to be repairing the car as if they might go back out but the commentators are saying the may be done. Not sure what to think.

10 metres is the rule I think, however there is no rule preventing team members going out to the car, they just can't touch it. They can provide any equipment needed.

Screw that, Toyota has already won out with every safety car over the #3 Audi who consistently falls back during safety car to the number 8 Toyota. I'm ready to see Toyota's luck run out. Audi have the better car and driver's they deserve it.

Of all the things that could go wrong or be done wrong. Leave it to the Le Mans winner to do that!
