I really liked how they crossed the line. Audi with the Toyota right behind and an Aston Martin together with them. Very fitting after the day we've had.

It was well worth the shot for Toyota. 2nd place is still an accomplishment considering they didn't even finish at all last year.

indeed, at least they denied an Audi 1-2-3.

Perhaps Toyota is just keeping everything progressive... maybe they'll win it this time next year. :3

Well, Audi can be beaten, but just not enough.. Congratulations to them, well done to Toyota and a bit gutted for the Astons though. They all did their best!

Not the best race ever to remember, but surely a dramatic one.

Gotta say, it's been a blast watching this with you all.
Bring on Le Mans 2014!

And congratulations to Baguette and co. for winning LMP2!

Let the bread jokes commence.
:D

Absolutely. That is some hell of a progress if you ask me.

Well deserved for Audi. First the entire race.

Corvette gets a top 5 in GT and Audi wins prototype 1 just as I expected as I play some more Ridge Racer 64 music in Winamp. Despite the death of Danish racing champion Allan Simonsen (R.I.P.), this is one of the more interesting Le Mans runs I've ever seen. I really hope Audi, Nissan (if the GT Academy drivers decide to run the 24 Hours of Le Mans again) and Corvette get dominant in their classes next year.

(Personally, I think 2013 is a dangerous year for automobile racing.)

So, at the end this race has become the longest safety car, the most safety car, the most barrier repair.. What else?

Yup, Toyota showed some real performance. Sadly the competition was more on the boxes than on the track and we didn't see much action after the first 10 minutes.

Ditto 👍.

Terrible race for Aston.................

Just a bit. They had 2 main competitors crippled with BOP and still blew GTE-Pro, 2 main cars crash out in the night then fatal indecision and a safety car absolutely shot their chances in the foot with an hour to go.

That's without even mentioning the worst bit of the race for them...:nervous:

What an amazing race (for both good and bad reasons). I like how one of the surviving Astons got involved in that photo finish.

Even if I haven't been posting for the entire time I was watching this thread for updates occasionally, so thanks 👍

Looking forward to next year already. Maybe someone can finally beat Audi

As much as I love this race I am glad it is only once a year...I am getting too old for all this craziness. Congrats to all the winners, see you next year 👍

Hard fought, wheel to wheel, 100% on the edge all the time...

.. but that's in about half an hour with BTCC race 2! ;). The Le mans 24, well went the way way I expected it to.. again.

Congrats to Audi, condolences to Allan Simonsen's family and friends.

None of these are things to remember a race positively by. Bit like when Scotland played Wales at rugby earlier this year, the match set the record for the most amount of penalties awarded in a match - not the sign of a good match.

Congratualtions to Audi. Toyota has done a good job, finishing 2nd in their 2nd attempt. A bit sad that Aston didn't win for Simonsen though. Nevertheless, it's a good race. 👍

Porsche 1-2 Finish in GT Pro! Awesome! The 991 makes a great Le Mans debut. Just a damn shame about Alan. Good on the race organizers for the Danish flag half-staff.

I'm starting to think this is no longer an endurance race. This is more like a really long GP race..! I didn't see any of them sandbagging, all of them pushed like hell throughout the race!
