It's been a disappointing race IMO. Just whenever racing threatened to break out, it was killed by a safety car. With an hour to go GTE-Pro was ON, and the safety car yet again crippled it (with the stupid 3-safety-car rule and the length of it). Plus Simonsen's death has overshadowed it for me.

Totally agree with you 👍

Suppose the #2 has some random and catastrophic failure before they reach the finish, would they still win or would the Toyota get it? Not wishing for anything, just curious.

Toyota would get it. You have to cross the line.

In that case the #1 is going to push TK across the line. Lol

Of course. If they don't cross the finish line, then they haven't completed the race.

Yeah, I agree. Still better than last year, though that's not hard. I really wished to see more competition and I'm honestly not looking forward to any sort of celebration. I'm actually somewhat glad it's over :guilty:. The amount of pace cars, etc...

Supposing the Toyota unlaps itself, yes.

At this point though, that is very, very unlikely.

Well, it's almost reality that #2 will be the winner of this years Le Mans. I'm sure Tom was winning for Simonsen.

24 hours have pasted.

Well, glad to have shared at least part of the race with all of you guys :gtpflag:

Sadly, Aston Martin couldn't grab a win in the name of Allan Simonsen but at least his fellow countryman Tom Kristensen was able to. Congratulations Audi for the win, and thanks Toyota for the fight you gave and the great effort!

I wonder what the podium celebrations will be like... will they tone it down, or will they just celebrate the usual way.

I hope they keep it classy. A man died, after all...

It was well worth the shot for Toyota. 2nd place is still an accomplishment considering they didn't even finish at all last year.

Congratulations to Audi for winning the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Also, massive congratulations to Toyota for second place, 2 years after returning to Le Mans. That's an achievement.

Well. Congratulations to Audi. And very well done by Toyota. The fact that they managed to be just 1 lap behind Audi in their 2nd running is quite an achievement, and I'm sure they'll be ever better next year.
