You can make a hybrid that nobody knows is a hybrid. And you are introducing that possibility to the community. I lost to that guy so the possibility exists that he is Hacking. So i'll kick him - and this has happened to me and countless others
Honestly quit trying to justify it, there is not a single argument you could win on the topic of Hybrids. Even the ever popular "it makes the community bigger because I didnt play before but I do now" well see if you need to Hack to enjoy the game we dont want you 👍

I'm not a big fan of hybrids either but there's better ways of discussing it other than saying the other person is using no logic.

At what point did I write in my post that I am defending them? I was stating that the game has been "broken" since day one, it's never been a level-playing field. These new-fangled cars made with hacking your save game are not breaking the game anymore than it was before, they just seem to have made more people play the game again after a long 2 year break - I wonder why that is?

The game functions perfectly fine for me. I have multiple fair, competitive races every day.
Totally untrue. Before the Hybrids I could do an online race. And if I lost, I got beat by the better man. Thats a properly unbroken racing game.
Now if I lose, theres that (infinitely approaching zero) possibility that it was a Hybrid I lost to. That my friend is broken.

To summarize, you effectively have a passive opinion on Hybrid's because you feel that GT5 is 'broken' anyway, by virtue of the PP system, cheater car's or whatever. I'm telling you that I disagree, with a proper host and, someone not being a weenie and pulling out an OP car, (which rarely happens) GT5 was perfect

New update = news announcement and probably a new thread
Hidden update triggering hybrid blocking/deleting/banning etc = overcrowding of existing hybrid threads and many new threads about irritated people
Nothing = more banter in here.
I think this would make rather sense as an announcement in the news section.

A bit of banter is harmless and is light relief from the usual sniping that happens here. It usually gets back on topic soon enough anyway - so just click on the thread every hour instead of every time you see it has a new post.

It's a light hearted speculation thread (I thought you would have noticed that - since you've 'been here long enough') - and speculatings what we're doing.
Not all of the guesses are exactly likely - but so what? It's a speculation thread, so nothing anyone says is wrong per-se.
Why not take your own advice, and go do something constructive - instead of whinging at other members because you're feeling incredibly sour.
