A new update is coming 2018/09/26

So, in the game's anniversary next moutn, do you believe in the holy trinity?
Grand Valley, Trial Mountain and Deep Forest! Please PD!

Wasn't there an interview the site had with Kaz discussing the trinity? He said they already had the code done for Deep Forest, but still had to iron things out. They also would have to redo a lot of the curbs on the tracks and do some other modifications for them to be FIA-approved or something.

Yep. And if we do get Fuji this month (which breaks the cycle) it makes total sense to get at least one of the classics next month. Crossing fingers.. I’d love Clubman/Special Stage Route 5 too.. :D

I would not mind getting Autumn Ring before the classic trinity. Underrated track to go along with October in the Northern Hemisphere, and the setting would probably look incredible on PS4.

I believe adjusting scale of the environments was another thing, and that part wasn't the easiest. It sounds like PD really wants to get them right.

They better not get rid of the canyon part at Trial Mountain...

As much as it sounds fun. What are the odds we are actually going to get 'legacy' tracks from yesteryear?

As many people have said many, many times, DTM is not even close in performance terms to Super GT. Its not even something BoP could solve as it would be an insult to Super GT and an unrealistic representation of DTM. Maybe in a few years after they start sharing engines and chassis it might happen, but until then i just wish people would research before commenting!
Its a balanced pack. Most of the other packs have a lot of race cars. They need to do both race cars and road cars to make everyone happy

I have feeling Deep Forest, Grand Valley and Midfield Raceway will be butchered and lose its uniqueness due to the FIA.

Not to mention Trial Mountain.

FIA - Why is there a monster in the lake?
Kaz - It's kinda complicated.
FIA - It's a potential security risk to both athletes and spectators.
Kaz - It appears we've reached a stalemate then.

Silence and stare contest follows...

Stop and Go penalty and a 10,000 dollar fine along with an investigation from the stewards just Fia things

I really don't get the mindset of FIA requiring changes to some virtual racetrack to make it "safer"?

I mean, theres no lifes at risk even if the mass of pixels and polygons you command happen to touch a different set of pixels and polygons.

Its just pixels and polygons.

I think people are overstating the importance and relevance of the 'holy trinity' of circuits. I'd take Grand Valley as it has at least two layouts (four inc. Reverse), but for now, I wouldn't be prioritising Deep Forest or Trial Mountain for any particular reason.

Nothing against them, just not feeling they should be given specific priority.

The 996 isn’t boring. It’s an easteregg from the past finding its way back - legally!
That's cool and all but there are other no-easter egg Porsche that would be cool as well.

Porsche 930
Porsche 914/6
Porsche 550
Porsche 917
Porsche 904
Porsche 908
Porsche 356B (in Outlaw Form)
and many others.... it goes on and on. Maybe some day we will get them.

Just my opinion.

No argue there, I’d personally love a 944 too. But the 996 has relevance imo.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the FIA having input or requirements on circuit design in GT Sport was ever a “thing”.

Yeah the FIA is just a rubber stamp... I would assume that they might have some input on the e-sports events but I doubt they even care about that... they just let Sony run the show.

FIA is more concerned about actual real world racing.

Nobodys going to talk about the fallen tree with the monkey or the super tall tree after the tunnel?

In my opinion, PD is making weird choices in terms of DLC cars. I do understand that they can't stick to all-new vehicles due to licensing (obvious downside of keeping DLCs free). But some choices do confuse me at times.
For example, they include cars like old Beetle and Fiat 500F without any good opportunity to tune their power up, making them useless in GT League and most of the competitive Lobbies. They include V8 version of R8 instead of V10. They're pretty much neglecting some of the manufacturers (Mitsubishi for example had only one DLC addition, Subaru had no additions whatsoever). And after promoting inclusion of Porsche so intensely during the PR campaign, they only now included two new Porsches.
Now don't get me wrong, i absolutely love Porsches (this Content Update is the best so far IMHO), but knowing that we already have a GT3 road car, they could at least mix it up, making 997 GT2 for example or even including a Turbo for variety purposes. But now we have three road-spec GT3s

Of course, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I've played GT games since 1998 and it took about 20 years to reach the point where Porsche can be treated as any other manufacturer. I know GT Sport launched with four Porsche models, but it's a relief to realize that anything is possible now.

Back in PS3 and PS2 days people were repeatedly voicing their disappointment over how EA and Porsche were glued together in what looked like a never-ending partnership. Tomorrow will be a big day for GT for multiple reasons, but the 996 and 997 are so delightfully normal that it's almost surreal.

I agree, GV is a great track. One would think since Midfield and Apricot Hill were so freshly redone, they would be candidates for bringing to GTS. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing High Speed Ring come back. To me that track is Gran Turismo.

From my opinion, they should bring other (&more) GT tracks to GTsport.

Laguna Seca
Twin Ring Motegi
Sonoma Raceway
Imola
Zolder
Donnington
Sebring
Sepang
Spa (oh **** I said it)

Yes, I do like original GranTurismo tracks to, but they don't make sense with the GT Sport title. For GT7 it will make sense we get a more balanced diner with real life tracks and GT tracks.

I'd dearly love any of those tracks but can't see several of them coming due to licensing costs or exclusivity. Personally Imola, Sebring and Donnington would be my top choices but they would be absolute carnage in sport mode. Imola and Donnington because of the layouts and Sebring because of the bumps (assuming they were modelled correctly).

I had an amazing race at Donnington with avoidance of all the carnage back in PC1. It was a lot of fun, especially when it started to rain! I had a replay of it.. but I forgot to upload it to youtube. And not long ago I deleted all my screenshots and clips(4-year build-up). Damn. I’d love to show you.

Yeah it's a great track that's for sure! I love driving it in PC2 when I turn it on. My favourite bit of the track is definitely the craner curves up through coppice. Persoanlly I can never get the first corner (redgate) correct no matter what line I seem to take.

It's a blast in the old Group A touring cars!

I’m not familiar with what the turns are called, but sure! The S turn following through the hairpin would be my favourite. Chaos point for most :D
