A new update is coming 2018/09/26

All I'm asking for is that the RX-500 is not 15 mil credits or Gr. X.

I'm never ungrateful for new, free content, and it's great that PD are supporting GT Sport so regularly and just about into its second year, but... I can't help but feel underwhelmed with the car selections for these updates. Perhaps it's mostly because it's almost always cars from GT6 so they're not truly new cars in a sense, but rarely anything ever grabs me a car that stands out as something we didn't have and that I want to drive.

The 996 GT3 is actually pretty cool and probably the most unique and worthwhile of this new bunch. The 997 meanwhile is just too similar to the 991 GTS RS. I guess the NSX is nice and I honestly thought it was already in the game, and the 300ZX is cool but also at the same time they're both just more of the many 276hp Gentleman's Agreement cars that are already in the game. Necessary additions I guess, and I do like them both, but several similar alternatives were already there is what I'm saying. The M3 GT is too similar to the M5 GTs already in the game, the Viper SRT10 is ok as well but we already have a (better imo) Viper in the GTS, and then the RX500 is cool but feels very much like a one and done gimmick car. Try it out and then probably never really want to drive it again. And the XNR is even more of that... I don't care to drive it at all. Maybe might once for the novelty but it's not a car I'll actually want to drive basically ever. The TZ2 is nice I guess, but I feel like it'll be very expensive and again I think the novelty of that car wore off in GT6.

Fuji Speedway is a good add though... I would've preferred Spa or Silverstone, but I'll take Fuji for now as those ones are surely coming soon. But yeah, this game has too many similar types of cars and not enough different ones. Where's the McLaren P1? Porsche 918 (why not 918 instead of 997?). Or a classic 90s supercar like the Bugatti EB110 for Ferrari F50? Where are newer 2017 and up models? I mean, maybe they are making more new cars and keeping them for GT7 if that's actually on track to release at some point in the next couple years, and if so I think that would be ok. As long as when that game does drop it offers something new and different as far as the car list goes, but right now going off these updates it's 95% them just rebuilding GT6's premium car database when they could've just kept the PS3 premium models in the game and used all that dev time to create new cars people really wanted. Then again, there are much bigger problems in GT going forward than car selection, even if it has been suspect. It just feels like they keep making the wrong decisions and it's hard to be confident in the future, or even the present, of the brand.

We might not agree on when the safety car should come out but we do agree on this ;)

The point of that is to confirm they're not gonna be over 2m. It's from the ps store.
For the pricing, we have to wait for either the site to give us the details or when the update delivers.
I thought pricing and class were revealed. Just want to know if the NSX is 100k.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Shifter Kart already in the game? Seems weird to see it alongside the new DLC cars (unless its just bizarrely sorted in such a way).

I do agree with Conqueror. It does seem a little like PD keep making the wrong decisions. Not deliberately I don't think but perhaps they're just not up on what fans really want and so simply make their own choices.

I actually like the fact that we're getting some older sports cars from last decade like the R8 4.2, SRT10, 997 GT3, Diablo GT etc. However, modern supercars and hypercars really are lacking big time IMO.
But also the likes of classic 90s supercars like the EB110, XJ220, F50, Elise GT1, 993 GT2 , CTR2, Virage Vantage etc are all missing. The F1 has no rivals really. Same with the 00s. Enzo is missing the Carrera GT and MC12.

Yet, the irony is that Forza has kind of taken over GT's original design and improved upon it while GT has stagnated somewhat which is somewhat of a shame.

I didn't see the kart in the trailer. isn't there already a kart in the game? surely, we don't need more than one. I don't think I've played this since May

I agree with some things you stated, however accusing GT Sport of being stagnant? You realise the reason this game gets a lot of hate is because of how radically different it is from the rest of the franchise. In order to make GT Sport, nearly everything was torn away and rebuilt from the ground up purposefully for online ESports. I don't see how that's stagnation. Maybe for GT6 I would agree with that stance, but that's outdated criticism now IMO.

They're 911 GT3s, for Christ sake. In what universe is that considered boring?
Mine. Like I said. There are other much more exciting models from this brilliant auto maker. That's what Kaz does though. Create a hodge podge car list that has missing pieces.

I wonder - with the Plymouth, will we get both versions with and without the passenger seat. If you remember, before you could drive both using the modification.
That feature was pretty cool in GT6. However, I'm pretty sure you can't do that in GT Sport because there are no body modifications in the game. It does looks pretty cool without the sheet cover with the passenger windscreen. It gives it more of a road car look.

Also, a bit random but I noticed that when the C3 'Vette returned to GT Sport, it doesn't have it's whitewall(line) tires like it did in GT6 where as the XNR does as seen in the trailer. Odd.

I'm with you completely on this. I'll buy the 300ZX, the Porsches, the NSX, probably the BMW. I might drive the Alfa if I win it. No interest at all in the XNR. Releasing old stuff we've already had and more versions of the same model is nice for car numbers and completeness, but there are some bizarre omissions from the list (P1, 918) and I'd much prefer one or two really new models (600LT, 488 Pista) or something really interesting (SCG003, Regera, etc) to keep the game really fresh.

The content is stagnant. FIA license but no LMP2, LMP3 and an incomplete GTE lineup. No GP2, GP3 or formula Ford open wheelers. Lots of issues.

This is the first game of the franchise to feature new Gr.3 cars, new Gr.1 cars, new Gr.4 cars and more. You can't have your cake and eat it too all the time. Don't completely ignore everything that was added just because you wanted other things.

I mean more in the sense of things like dynamic time/weather. GTS still doesnt have night racing, rain, snow etc whereas it's competitors do. The car list is not what you'd call up to date really.
A few post 2014/15 models but not many. Meanwhile, just look at Forza, Project Cars 2 or even Assetto Corsa- Huracan Performante, 812 Superfast, 720S, Chiron, F12tdf, 918, P1/GTR, FXX-K, Alfieri, Quattroporte GTS etc.

One thing I will give props to PD for though and that's getting rid of those horrendous 'standards' Quality over quantity any day of the week.
