Pictures not appearing? Anyone else not see them? This is weird.

Also if anyone knows anybody that would be interested, let them know or let me know. As long as they are competent and some what experienced I'm cool with that.

I see the pictures just fine. What browser are you using?

Sass in order for them to appear you will have to re-upload them to your post. For some reason the site does not let pictures put in PM's be made visible by other members other than the ones in the Private message. I have had the same problem.

Pictures look great! I cannot wait to get home and establish which car I want to drive.

Also on the 2.4Hour photo Friday and corresponding date is featured; was that intentional?

More Daytona? Ugh! Fine. I'll sign up for now but I may have to retract my entry once I see next week's work schedule. How are we going to run the race? Lap certain or time certain? I'd love to know so I can plan my tires and fuel strategy accordingly. Cheers.

2.4 Hours @ Daytona
Presented by Interstellar Motorsport and A.R.S.

Friday January 29th

6pm PST/ 9PM EST
In honor of this weekends' 24 hour race at Daytona, we decided to host our own event. Presenting the 2.4 Hours @ Daytona!!! This event is just for fun and not a part of a championship. We will be running two classes: LMP1 and GT.
We worked very hard to get these cars as competitive as possible but they are not perfect. This will be a "friends and family" type event and not open to the public. Because of the short notice we're just hoping to generate interest quickly and have a nice turn out.

Notice:

Clearly an oversight on our part, the Toyota TS030 is considerably quicker than the other prototypes. For the time being we have reduced the horsepower to 500. This vehicle has already been chosen twice and is no longer available but this is just a notification to those who have chosen it.

I'm up for this just to confirm I've converted right though - its going to be 2am GMT?
I do believe that is correct, but just to be safe on race day we will announce how many hours until the start on here, so do be sure to keep an eye on this thread please.

I do not believe it is possible to set an online timed race for 144 minutes. The timer in the lobby settings jumps from 2 hours straight to 3.
We can set the race to run to max laps and manually time ourselves. In the GTP_WRS 2.4h enduros we used this method and the leader called checkered flag the first time they crossed the line after 2h 24m. After the checkered flag is called, the first time everyone crosses the line ends their race, and they catch up to wherever the leader parked in single file, in the order which they crossed the line. From this point the steward can record the order, and ask everyone to back out of the race. Once everyone's backed out the replay will be available to save.

Ok, sorry about that. Or we could just do the math and figure out how many laps to do. Notice i said we. Lol. Doesn't have to be perfectly exact. Laps in the prototypes were anywhere from a 1:34.xxx to a 1:40.xxx. So take the average which would be about a 1:37.xxx and figure out how many laps would equal 2 hours and 24 minutes. I ain't really good with this kind of math but I'm sure one of you young whipper snappers could figure it out right quick.

I got it:

seconds in an hour: 3,600

senconds in two hours: 7200

seconds in 24 minutes: 1440

Total: 8640 seconds

97 seconds average per lap x 89 laps= 8633 seconds (7 seconds short of 2.4hrs)

The race will be 89 laps!! (I hope I'm not wrong here)
