I was watch this thread for past three days hoping for 650pp FGT I knew it was too good to be true. Man that was one hell of a troll.

Ok, back on topic. I am going to try the Toyota 7 detuned tomorrow!

Tried with a stock ZR-1 on racing soft, did 6:31.897 , about 8 seconds in front of the Ford GT, finished 2nd on another race vs the McLaren F1 2.9 seconds behind, and in front of the Zonda LM.

What is your 2J set up? I can only get 6:15 out of mine!

Sorry it took so long ... wow all that 650pp FGT stuff

You're a maniac, Mike. I suspect you could get it done with a road car at 600pp with Race Hards....

For my own part, 6'26.556, 600pp Takata Dome NSX '03 (AdrenaTune), Racing Hards, beating the McLaren F1 GTR with 6'27.097 (grid had Ford GT LM Spec II in 2nd). Your honour, the nudging in Eis Kurve was mutual, and borne purely of respect, I assure you!

There's more in it for true ring rats; nearly wiped out at Bergwerk, for one..

I've got to do SSR5 this way, now (600pp R390 beats the Zonda LM handily there, so it should be doable vs the F1; I might pike on Madrid, however, since it's.... Madrid).

Thx Ealirendur! :)
I got slowed down 2-3 times because of the AI, but it was a clean lap otherwise, tried 3 times and couldnt get close enought of the Zonda at the long straight to get the draft, last attempt it was limit, but close enought to get closer to it and overtake right after the bridge! :D

You did great too with the NSX. :)

Thanks for posting this! You inspired me to try something similar (didn't have the Opera S2000 so I went with the Honda S2000 LM, tuned to 382hp and 526pp, Racing Softs) and wow, the car handles and sounds awesome!!! I'm woeful in utilizing my whole garage, this was the first time I had driven it... really fun car! :)

I didn't get a fast grid though, they were really a nuisance actually, kept bricking on corner exits... didn't provide draft except in Schwedenkreutz a little bit. S2000 LM was easily able to spank the Fairlady Z Concept LM... er I mean respectfully overtake it for the lead at Steilstrecke. All by my lonesome after that. Final time of 6'38.241.

Opera S2000 '04 fully tuned 540pp 391hp on racing soft, no added downforce.
6:32.954
lot of fun to drive and offer a great challenge for the Zonda, no chance vs the McLaren though... :)

My favourite car for this is a 680bhp 650pp xanavi nismo on RS, managed to get it round in 6:16 and 6:18 on the last two tries beating the mclaren by a comfortable margin.

However for a bir of fun I took my 880bhp 5.2L v10 r8 round the ring managed a 6:36 and 6:45, still managed to win both tines against pretty feeble competition, but it was a real handful especially though the high speed corners but boy was it fast in a straight line!

Anybody want to use the xanavi nismo feel free to PM me!

I've had the most fun going around in my Epson NSX. It has more power at 650 than almost all of the other cars in the same class. Best time of 6:14.xxx

If you are using RS and getting 15's and 16's you should be able to win with RH, and it will be more of a challenge too.

If you want even more challenge don't forget that Real Circuit Tours seasonal is still up ... you can run Nurb 24 against really fast cars.

Tried the Mazda Furai, got 5:59.389 on racing soft, just reduced the power, no added ballast, fun car.

Finally decided to see what that McLaren F1 GTR can do ... 6'06 on RH tires (the AI McLaren did 6'26), but wow switched to RS tires and did a 5'49 clean (no contact, no grass, etc)! The grip really makes the balance... also 4th gear on corner exits, you can go right to full throttle. Amazing, fun car, also faster on RS tires than the 2J.

Nissan R92CP '92 on racing soft 5:50.529 on a decent run

Wow thats quick! I ran a clean lap with same setup and managed a 6'03 overtaking the f1 gtr at 2:40

EDIT: next lap managed a 6:01 with a big barrier smash, managed to overtake leader at 2:30

Did this first time with a Max tuned Nissan GTR Yellowhat (my fav 650pp car) and starting pole and second were the zonda and the Mclaren. Took the mclaren on the last few corners before the straight but did make quite a few mistakes. Tryed it again and managed a 6:21 with minor contact at the start and next to no mistakes.
:) Honestly cant see why anyone would need to use LM race cars to win

Mazda Furai Concept '08 5:59.381 (just used power limiter , no ballast)
430hp

ok i have tried three different cars (all tuned) and still cant finish more then 15s behind winner with me being in 2nd place.

This one race I cannot do. No matter what car I use I cannot run down #1 car. Getting from 12 to 2 is simple...but when there's a 20s gap to close, I'm lost.

Any race car near 650pp should do it. If not, try Racing Softs. If you still can't do it, just use a slower lineup of AI cars. The Zonda is about 7-8 seconds slower than the F1 GTR. The Ford GT is a couple seconds slower than the Zonda. If none of those cars are in the race it should be easy. Then you can go practice the track on or offline, or with the AMG challenges, or by repeatedly beating a slow field of cars until you are filthy rich. And then you will have learned the Nordschleife better, and can try to beat the F1 GTR again. :)

It really is just all about learning the track, and unless you are quite the competent racer, it takes a long long time to learn.

The opposition rotates in 6 different sets. One of them does not contains the McLaren F1 or Zonda ;)

Tried last night and was within sight on the Ford, only to hit a pixel in the middle of the road and spin out. was heartbroken.
