BMW V12 LMR'99 with a few minor adjustments. 2nd time on this track and only adjusted the gear ratios and LSD. I'll give this car a proper tune later today and post it if anyone is interested. Only needs one pit stop at the end of lap 6.
I also got about 50 seconds in ramming penalties and still killed the Jag and CLK.

So which is the best? the LMR or the F1?
By the way the small bumps at the exit of the various turns give a little extra of difficulty, just when you thought you could go flat out a small bump makes you lose control and headbutt into the wall:banghead:

The LMR is extremely stable stock and breaks on a dime, but I usually just need to ease off the throttle instead of breaking. Great handling!

Not tried this yet but I dont get the cars allowed.. It allows me to use the Diablo GT2 but not the Ferrari FXX? erm though the Fxx was a race car? Confused

The FXX is forbidden on the streets, you can only drive it on circuits. So yes, you're right, it should be listed as a race car but PD considers it as a road car...

Did this one first try with the LMR...inters all the way with one pit on lap 6. Spun off on lap 1 and had another spin elsewhere coupled with a couple of collision penalties and hitting the barrier nearly every time at the chicane but still won by well over a minute

Played 7 times. Won 5 times. All ended up game crashed or hung before I can get bonus. Checked car was not driven in the garage (no extra miles added). :indiff:

Won twice in succession easily but game crashes before I can collect any bonus......... Maybe too busy being Xmas to pay out......
Same for me

Hm, game crashes seems to happen more often now.
I haven't had a crash yet, but my system is slower than before, really slow loading times, I wonder if something went wrong on the latest update?

BMW McLaren F1 GTR kills it. Over 38 secs ahead. Full race on Inters, 1 pit stop 5/6 lap.

Well, i use the same car (Kokusai Kaihatsy 98') but with a convergence angle 0.02/0.1, camber 0/0, Gear set to 320 km/h (204 mph) and power limiter in 86.5%.

I started with intermediate tires, and make three pitstops, one in lap 2 to 3 because a CLK DTM hits me (damn IA), another in lap 7 to 8 changing to Intense Rain tires, and a last in the lap 8 to 9, i made a mistake taking Intemediate instead of dry tires but i win with a difference for 14 seconds in this last pit stop, no problem with the fuel, i recharge 40 liters in all cases, just in case.

Protip: when approaching the final straight, keep your left and never overtake on the inside because the AI might pit in and bomb you inside the pitlane too.

The same thing say, i thought I had just happened to me! LOL

:DUsed a detuned Audi R18.

Took me some tries to understand the track and I actually liked it!
On my first "serious" attempt I did 5 laps on racing intermediates, pit on end of lap 5, gained first position, but on the last lap the tyres were destroyed and I had to slow down and finished third. :banghead:

On my second try I did 5 laps on racing intermediates, pit, other 3 laps on racing intermediates, pit and went for racing soft. Seemed a good idea since humidity was 0% but the car was spinning a lot, as if the street was soaking wet! Not funny. 🤬

On my third try I won with 2 pit stops using only racing intermediates. I finished 34 second ahead of the second and.. 29 ahead of the third :D

I think it is safe to say that PD made this "expert level challenge" more than a little too easy. I ran off course four times, got two hitting barrier penalties, two ramming lapped car penalties and still won by 30 seconds in a 572 pp, Lancia Delta S4 Rally Car '85? LOL....:lol::lol::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::lol::lol::lol:

tried it with My Puegeot 908 base..started on Racing hard and had the gearing set too high and I fell way behind..
I pitted at the end of lap 5 and put on intermediates..I ended up 2nd 45 second behind the rabbit. With a few tweaks I should be able to get the win

Check out the following picture during this event. See that car in front? -The Alpine, that's driving smoothly and cleanly? -Good. Now take note of that Lamborghini Diablo behind. Yeah, the Lamborgini that's under about as much control as a pre-crash scud; the Lamborghini Diablo that's ... just about to slam into the rear of that blissfully unaware Alpine. Guess who got the "ramming penalty"?

image.jpg

That's right, the Alpine did. Despite the front half of the Alpine not even touching the Diablo before the penalty was issued, I received a penalty for ramming after the Diablo basically landed on and then chomped on the back half of my car, with most of its panels, for a few seconds.

It sent me from 2nd place to 5th.

Before that, I went into the pits to change tyres and take on 15l of fuel. The second place XJ220 went in just behind me (with absolutely cooked tyres) to also change tyres and take on about 45l of fuel (the replay showed that he took on at least three times as much fuel as I did). Guess who came out of the pits first? Of course the XJ220 did!

I don't mind the pits thing. Stuff like that happens in races. The penalty system really should have been fixed a long, long time ago though.

BMW McLaren F1 GTR kills it. Over 38 secs ahead. Full race on Inters, 1 pit stop 5/6 lap.
This is what worked for me. Bought the car, power limiter down until I hit the PP limit, buy some wet tyres and away I go. Only won by 15 sec because the first few laps were pretty slow while I learned the track. Pitted on lap 6 right behind the XJ220.

won by about a tenth with the alpine race mode. Tha jaguar kept catching up with me on the straights. plus, all my spins in the beggining didn't help.

I played and won 3 times. All ended up with a hung PS3 after 2 mins. What is wrong?! :indiff:

I have the very same issue. It happens whenever you try and skip the replay. I don't think I would like to just let the replay play, but I will try that also. Anyone have any clues as to what is causing this?

Thanks, I tried the Bentley and easy win 👍
I was ahead by 44 secs. I tried 4wd and rally cars and came in 2nd. That Speed 8 drove great.

I tried the Audi Quattro Pikes Peak rally car which can OUT-BRAKE anything on the track!! NO KIDDING, it's not too fast but lots of grip with Int rains and one pit stop did the trick.

Yes... Quattro Pikes Peak do a fantastic job with IM tyres, just finished 1:06 ahead with 2 stops (end of lap 4 and lap 7) and using only IM ones. This is my 3rd try the first was with Speed 8 got 2nd and the second was with Pikes Peak, tried RS on last stop and got worst than the IM.... finished 2nd.

But no Bonus 👎 PS3 crashs at the end... now Im waiting to finished the replay... :irked:

No deal... PS3 crash again and no bonus...:banghead: just the fun :D

So if I'm following the pattern right, I'm guessing the next race like this is going to be all Japanese racing cars at an Eifel track.

I guess I'd better ready my TS030.

I think I got robbed! I ran the Race again and won by well over 1.5 minutes but didn't get a payout. :banghead:

Yea, same here. I ran the race again with a Pescarolo C60 won by over 1.5 mins and no payout?!? :odd:  WTF :grumpy: is up with that :irked: 👎 I thought you get the payout after the race seasonals. I know you don't get them again after TT & Drift seasonals.

So, I tried this again with the R18 Audi. Beat them by over a minute. Decided to let the replay run and see what would happen. It still hung and hard locked. I wonder if anyone GT6 related watches these threads? It would be nice to actually do this race. This is the first time that I can remember that a Seasonal has not worked.
