I think I might have found the most absurd example of PD's failed car classification/race regulations:

- The Ford Ka is not eligible for the European hot hatch race but it's accepted in the muscle car battle

That's because PD classifies the cars based the country of origin of their makers. Ford is an american company so any car sold in the Ford dealership can only participate in american races. I think it's done to keep things simple. It's easier to remember the country of origin of the manufacturer than of each car.

I remember saving and saving for the "Red Devil" Camaro when I first started GT-6. I finally bought it to enter a classic muscle car event and they would not allow it?!?!?!? Not a normal car!! Boy,oh boy, was I pissed. The other day, I thought of dropping it into the Nordschliefe event, ( if it's not a stock car , then it must be a race car, right) NOT ALLOWED!! A new class of car, unclassifiable!
I had that one with classic muscle on willow springs event, got me the camaro racecar
in gt5 that was the "racingmod" of the classic camaro.
anyway, there are three classes in GT6
Normal: just a normal non tuned car that has supercars, musclecars, hatches, etc.
Racecar: GT GT3 GT300 GT500 LeMans Rallycars,etc.
Tunercar: AEM,HKS,HPA,etc.

Only problem is, you can't really use the "searchcar" to filter them in GT6
But what is wierd, the jayLeno tankcar? you think it's a tunercar, but no, it's a normal.
And about that Ford Ka that is mentioned somewhere?
We europeans thinks it's a Ford UK/england/brittish brand, but no, it's ford america.
But Opel is/was GM, but falls under europe...

And then as i also mentioned in my previous post, the Mercedes 190E is a sedan (2 or 4 door)
but it is accepted as a HotHatch and hatchbacks are 3 or 5 door normal cars, don't know if station/break is accepted as hatch.
Go figure.

But i think i'm probably proven wrong...

hehe ford ka is a european car heheh damn PD´s

Managed to win it in the 147 GTA? why that car? for two reasons.
One. Alfa Romeo.
Two. It is an actual hatchback.(and no, i don't consider the 135i and the TTs as hatchbacks.)
But the amount of times the AI seems to crash is about as much as i would crash in a Ruf CTR without aids!
... I've said too much...
And yes, the "pre-race waiting period" still takes a stupidly long time in seasonal events.

Ferrari Dino 8:29.387,
Mito 8:42.xxx . closer race with Scirocco 8:47
Abarth 433PP 8:47.661 - Clio v6 8:55

The Clio in P1 drove straight into the wall at the first chicane lap 5 so uncontested I sailed into 1st. But the race was mine anyways.

Discussions on Ford KA`s origin here...Lol...GF and I own a little Ford KA "MK1", yellow, same model as the one we can buy in GT6... Well I think of my Ford KA as a German car, however, it might have been produced in Spain or something (outsourcing). It`s funny to drive but, the building quallity is poor...European Ford was English back in time (Ford Anglia, Ford Cortina, Ford Escort MK1 and some more) - Mid seventies it turned to be German brand (Ford Escort MK2, Ford Taunus, Ford Fiesta etc etc) But cars today are manufactured in countries like Spain, Poland and other countries, where labour is cheaper as in Western Eurrope...Oh way off topic...

So far I`ve won in my Lotus Elise Sport 190. Something cool about that specific model...This event is a little not so fun I think....

Easy field, easy win with the Cobra 427 S/C '66. I didn't use any weight reduction, or added ballast weight, and I just used auto-set transmission. Plenty of room for time improvement with a good tune for the Cobra.

I guess I'm tired. I've tried every car mentioned in the thread, 2nd is my best. I can't get under 1:40.xxx for nothing. Rage Quit!

Yeah, If you can string some 1:40's together you are Gold. The Lotus will put down consistent 1:38's with a 1:40 for the first lap. Try Praiano's tune and Exeter GT tunes for good tunes on this car. If you find a speedy car in the lead, and you can't beat him. Close out of the A Spec Expert seasonal and then go back in and sign up again. Do that until you get some slower cars in the Starting Grid. Also, tweak the Final Gear so that you are close to the redline in 6th gear on the main straight, this will give you optimum acceleration out of the slow corners and all the way up to 130 mph at the end of the straight. Above all, practice!! I ran this 16 times today and won 10 of those. If you screw up, you are done. Might as well restart and drive very accurately, avoiding mistakes. I ran two different cars today, the lotus 111r '04 and the A3 Audi Quattro, which is heavy, 4X4, but powerful. I did win with the Audi but it was harder work than with .... The Lotus is light and powerful and works better for me anyway, and FASTER!!
Cheers, Pete

Haven't seen a Seat Ibiza or a Grande Punto in this event....
And who the heck lets the AI drivers in 1st and 2nd get away from the rest of the pack so far?!
I still think that the front of the Grande Punto looks like a happy guy with a mustache
