I guess I'm tired. I've tried every car mentioned in the thread, 2nd is my best. I can't get under 1:40.xxx for nothing. Rage Quit!
Take your time.Just don't do too late braking.
Here's another car with settings.
Lotus Elise 111R '04
I use DS3 without the joysticks (i just can't manage the little joysticks)
don't mind the tires, just change them to Comfort Soft.
And speed is around 168MPH (stock speed)
Whoeps, forgot, also a bodykitt, but i don't know if that's relevant for the handling.
I forgot OILCHANGE!!Sorry

Interesting how this seasonal is programmed. Trying out numerous slower cars, I've noticed around a 20 second difference in AI times based on my 1st lap times. When I've run a first lap time of 1:45, I've lost by 10 seconds, but restart the race and run a first lap of 1:46 and I end up winning by 10+ seconds. I've had this happen with a couple different cars with the similar results based on my first lap times.

A few other cars I've won with are:

Pikes Peak Quattro '03 - De-tuned down to 50% power limiter and had to add ballast to get down to 450 PP.
BMW 507 '57.
TVR V8S '91.
Quattro ''82

Not sure if this was intentional, but your suspension settings are all Xed out??
Cheers, Pete

They're all X'ed out because he installed the SOFT suspension option and NOT the customizable suspension settings. You can see the word soft above the x's. I wish he still posted what the values are, so I wouldn't have to purchase the Soft Suspension in addition to having the Custom Suspension.

@danbojte Is there anything that the Nicks Forza Ferrari Dino can't do? :D I love that thing!

yes, it's not custom, just the stock soft suspension.Just like you can choose "hard" "rally" "custom".

hahahaha, really? soft suspension is 3350 credits. but then again, :P i think it's about losing settings from your custom suspension.
just ask.:sly:

what i sometimes do.
before starting GT6, backup savegame to usbstick
start game, do whatever, exit game, restore savegame from usbstick, done.
start game and taadaa.
But only if you have a usb stick. ;)

Oh, it's not about having to spend money on the custom suspension. As you've pointed out it is barely anything at all in credits. But, I prefer using the custom suspension just in case I love 99% of everything about the suspension, but maybe I want to just want to adjust the rear toe a little bit. Well, I can't do that with the Soft Suspension settings. Basically, I prefer to have complete control over the settings if possible. Even though I don't tune cars at all, I sometimes will make small adjustments to the suspension to for my driving style.

Use this tune here Lotus Elise 111r once you finish that to get this car down to 450pp do this. Put all the weight reduction, bonnet and widows reduction set it to standard and set the power limiter to 80.7 and you will have a fast car, it can do a lap under 1:38.000 👍

I get it, little tweak here or there can make a big difference.
I mostly use soft suspension, but when i really want to go for some time improvement, i acces tuning topics.
This one, my laps were all 1:39 and I didn't see P1 till the end and lost by a breath View attachment 329536

Did you use a stock R32? i tried stock, but got laps around 1:44
then did a tune on it (simple one, i can't do those perfect tunes)
Your "V.hagen" with the Clio V6 was also there.

These are the laptimes i did with my simple tune.I wonder what i could do with that tune from @shaunm80 you mentioned.
I do not want to bragg, even if it looks like that, but i like this track, and how you behave and take
each corner also makes a very big difference.
I'm the average one in my PSN friendslist..But this track i like very much, same for the other two events , i love those tracks (i do not love/like Nurburgring full track at 600+pp)

I did this race today. In my race, the lead car, a BMW 135I slammed into a wall on the second turn on Madrid, and went from first to last, and stayed in last the entire race. Never knew that the AI would make such a big crash.

I'm glad I bought a spare 111R. I had to use it to get the correct gear ratios. I used @shaunm80 tune just adjusted FG to 3.90. After about 40 laps of practice I finally got the rhythm of the track and below 1:40 laps. In my first race The Clio punted me into the wall and I lost by 0.0825. So I ran it again and won by a little over 5 seconds even though he tried it in the same place I saw him coming and swung wide and he hit the wall but was coming like it had 1000HP. I have a feeling if I hadn't changed the FG I might not of had enough speed. Now that I know the track I'll try some different cars.

I always passed over the Seat Ibiza Cupra '04 as it just didn't interest me for whatever reason. Needless to say, I was very surprised to see it run low 1:40s (with just a basic tune) when I purchased it and raced it tonight.

And NO..... It's not pink, it's iris red pearl! :indiff:
And NO..... I didn't wreck those cars in the picture above. They wrecked themselves!

First of all i made a mistake with my settings for the Lotus elise 111R '04, i forgot to mention OILchange.

So i tried @shaunm80 tune for the Lotus Elise 111R '04
Then followed your instructions, with that LSD, the car is too heavy at the rear and more of a drifter for me.(with the comfort softs)

So i did the following:
@shaunm80 tune for the elise 111R '04 and applied all
Then used my ballast settings: 143KG at -50 so weightdistribution is 50:50
remove following power parts: Exhaust,Manifold, catalityc and intake
set powerlimit from 98.1% to 98.9 for 450pp
off course the Comfort soft tires.
LSD=8/9/20
traction=1 ABS=1

And this is my result, Damn fast little car now.Lap 5 is a 1:34.724, 2seconds faster then with my own settings.

So for 2 weeks our expert seasonal race is a 450pp city race? I really enjoyed the 600pp Burg race we had for the last two weeks. Whoever decides on Seasonal Events for PD needs to be replaced

Why replace?
You ( and others) had your 2 weeks fun, now i (and others) have my(our) two weeks fun, i really really hated that nurburgring 600+pp race.:yuck: (;))

Nothing personal, but you could understand why that replacement statement is just a personal opinion that differs for each driver/member.

I didn't like the Nurburgring either and while I haven't done this event yet I don't think I like it either since I dislike city races in general. But... for me the 580 PP MR SH expert seasonal at autumn ring reverse from 2-4 weeks ago was insanely fun.

Conclusion : PD is indeed actually doing a pretty decent job with their seasonals keeping everyone happy.

I don't think that the PP level should matter when creating an expert level race. You could make it 350PP as long as you make it difficult to win. Personally, I had more difficulty with this particular race than most A-Spec Expert Level races (besides the Nurburgring 600PP races). Remember the Intermediate Level race in London a while back? That was much harder than the Expert Level race that week. It really should have been the Expert Level race instead. My point is, as long as they make obtaining 1st place sufficiently difficult, I personally don't think PP matters that much.

How can one hate the Nürburgring, the mother of all tracks

I'm not saying I hate it, I just don't like it. :) Overall I prefer these race events with 5 laps on small-medium circuits or 3 laps on medium-large circuits.

edit: I fully agree with what @ALB123 just said, and that London race was indeed very hard. :)

I see your point, no problemo. It's a matter of taste.

But I bet that one day you will like it! Let's talk again about it in a few months... ;) 👍

I absolutely think you are right. ;) I'm basically only playing since jan 2015 so I got a lot of tracks and cars left to get a real feel for and the shorter tracks are much easier memorised. I like the setting of the Nurburgring though, being a real world track out in nature.

So i did the following:

I own an Exige in real life, and the Elise is my favorite car on the game, so I'm always collecting tunes. I tried your settings as close as I could, though they ended up being quite a bit different I think. But I'm very happy with the car, thank you and Shaun!

Edit.

It appears I just needed to learn the track a bit better. 1:35 first lap, all others 1:34. I have a single 1:33 to my credit, but it's because of a draft for sure. I've run 3 8:23's in a row, so I think this is as good as it gets for me, but I'll keep racing this one because it's fun!

Ha, replaced may be a bit harsh, but I agree with the rest of it. I bet I ran that Nurb race 50x or more; in fact after golding the beginner/intermediate on the first go I ran nothing but the Nurb for the entire 2 weeks. Extremely fun & there is always something to learn on that course. They really need to make a permanent road car & permanent race car seasonal for the ring, given the popularity of them.

Only "challenge" in this one is staying awake long enough to finish the race. j/k. Although I will admit that is due to my hate of FF cars in this game, thus I have been using the Dino, 205 Turbo 85', Berlinetta, Z4, Elise, Speedster... All of which are pretty easy wins. Tuning up some of the lesser MR/4WD at the moment in the hopes of injecting some fun into this one.

I think it understeers a bit for my taste, but that's probably me entering the corners too fast. Very balanced tune. I was running consistent 1:35's (4 of the 5 laps, with 1:37 being my first lap), but still could not match your 1:34! Do you think some of that was drafting another car? Anyway, great lap!

Madrid%20reverse.jpg

Nice time! I noticed you won by 27 seconds and wondered what time you would have won by had you had the incredibly slow field where I had a 28 second margin of victory when I was racing the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta? You could have had a nearly one minute margin of victory! I wonder if the computer would even let you and your Elise race against that slow field that I had?

Nice job again.... Now lets see you win this seasonal with a one minute margin of victory over 2nd place!
