Haven't seen a mention of the Seoul Destroyer yet. I used a tune from @Ridox2JZGTE when the Spirra was Difficult Car of the month in the Tuning Thread.

I supercharged the V8, used stage 1 weight to get 550pp. I added 90 kg ballast to the front and it felt a bit more positive in the slower corners.

A great job from @Ridox2JZGTE on the killer Korean: nicely balanced but it still feels dangerous. A fairly hard fought .6 over the Miura rabbit.

I really like the reverse layout.

Great time with the Roadster - I can see you breaking sub-8:00:00. 👍

Well, there was a time, just a couple of months ago, that many players were finding most of the events too difficult - in fact it seemed like the Expert Level gold was out of reach for many players (think 'Holiday' Seasonals :D ) However - the payouts were very high. In fact there were prize cars offered, too.
Now that it's back to 'normal' the events might seem too easy. But the payouts and prizes are nominal, too.

I'm enjoying this event in a 500PP Miura for the moment - it's been a long time since I could have a valid excuse to throw the Miura through the hoops.
I want to bring it back completely to stock as I keep at this event - I have noticed that even the slightest modification to the Miura ruins its unique character.
As for the sound . . . OMG . . . I could listen to that joyful whoop all day long.

Thank you, I just did it then, I made no changes to the car since last run except I increased the break strength so sit's still at 477pp. With a fastest lap of 1:26.168 Now I'm going to bed aha

I really like the reverse layout.

I tried the Spirra as well, same tune as posted on the difficult car thread, I added intake tuning, converter sports, sports computer, engine stage 3 ( supercharger not used ) and limiter to bring it to 513HP, 550PP and stock weight 1205kg ( no ballast ). I didn't use supercharger as I felt the torque is more than enough.

For better stability at Autumn Ring Reverse, I increased rear damper compression to 3 ( improved traction ) and increase LSD initial to 36 or 40 ( easier to stabilize the car with half throttle coast mid corner ) Camber set at 1.00/1.00 ( much more stable for me ) and brake balance 2 points higher at the front for easier trail braking with no ABS : 5/3.

I also tried with ballast, weight reduction stage 3, ballast at 181kg / position at 13 for 43/57 distribution, brings it back to 1205kg, power reduced to 512HP to reach 550PP. I prefer the handling with a bit more weight at the back, feels more neutral and traction is easier to find.

Raced it ( both setup with ballast and no ballast ), and passed the 1st car on last lap ( the leader was Ford GT40 MK I and 2nd was Countach LP400 ). 1st lap was easy 1:27s, and average 1:26 flat to 1:25s ( 7:52/3 race time ). Not really pushing it as the rear tires are easily fried due to the torque at 446ft lb / 61.6 kgf-m

Thanks for driving my creations and winning 👍

I tried a bunch of other cars but instead of spamming this thread with a dozen screenshots I'll post it like this. Cars in bold is from my latest driving, the rest is a few days older. The pp for all cars is 580 + I finished 1st place with them unless commented different. Tires are always SH. Tunes are just default values except gearbox max speed brought down to about 220-250 kph (except for the GTO where I forgot it). I could improve a lot of seconds on each car if I just gave them a few attempts in a row but for most of them I tried them once and then moved on.

7:27.110 KTM X-BOW R '12 (1 attempt) - this track is indeed just made for the X-BOW R :)
7:35.104 KTM X-BOW Street '12 (1 attempt)
7:36.208 Lotus Evora '09 (573pp) (2 attempts)
7:36.393 McLaren MP4-12C '10 (1 attempt)
7:36.706 Light Car Company Rocket '07 (1 attempt) - I drove this straight after the Cizeta which was not good :)
7:40.189 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari '02 (3 extra attempts since first try)
7:40.441 Lamborghini Countach LP400 '74 (2 attempts) - fun drive, felt very different than the other normal cars
7:42.157 Ford GT '05 (2 attempts) - very fun drive
7:44.018 Pagani Huayra 15th Anniv '13 (1 attempt) - detuned a lot, nice handling now but the power is gone :)
7:48.233 Ferrari 458 Italia '09 (2 attempts)
7:52.745 Ferrari GTO '84 (3 attempts but with wrong gear setup)
7:52.789 Acura NSX '91 (544 pp) (1 attempt) (finished 2rd place +00.836 behind GT40)
7:58.347 Cizeta V16T '94 (1 extra attempt since a few days ago)
8:07.670 Tesla Roadster '08 (477 pp) (1 attempt) (finished 3rd place +03.120 behind GT40 & Miura)

Ok I'll add just one screenshot, the one with the Cizeta V16T since I finally managed to win with it. :) I still find it by far the most difficult car to drive here, with my default setup it has very poor handling and I need to be very careful to not skid off the track. Braking into corners needs to be done very careful, heck even for straight line braking just after the start/finish it's so easy to lose control and end up off track. Plus if you do skid it feels as if the car almost comes to a complete stop and takes several seconds to get up to speed again (the X-BOW's here are completely the opposite, very good grip and fast recovery from skidding).

The Tesla... I don't find it a fun car to drive due to lack of engine sound but since I'm now about 10 seconds slower I might give it a few more tries soon. :)

On the topic of this event vs. the intermediate event with classic cars @ Silverstone... I'm a big fan of the classic cars in GT6 as well but the reason I prefer to play this event is because I didn't play GT6 all that much yet and the credits gained from this event are better over time than from the Silverstone event. Plus I do like this track a lot more than Silverstone. But I have to say I fully agree that the 580 pp limit here is way too high, it would have been more fun if it was around 500-520 pp so more cars would come into range.

Does this track seem slick to anyone else? It's like some of the curves have got black ice on them.

It is slick, you're right. Funny though. For those who are looking for a safe car, I would suggest Praiano's tuned Saleen S7, it has a lot of grip compared to other cars I tried so far (550 PP is enough).

Have a nice drive everybody!

I think this one is easier if one go down on pp, like 500pp or something.

This 👍

I prefer to only have premium cars in my garage but I'm looking around now to buy a few extra cars for the event. On a sidenote: The in game car search engine could seriously use some extra filters like "premium" or "normal car". Hope that gets improved for GT7.

I absolutely HATE the Toyota MR2 GT-S '97, so I was shocked that I like the Toyota MR-S S Edition '99 for this seasonal. Not a bad little car for 495 PP. (Supercharger not Turbo) Has anyone won this seasonal with the Toyota MR2 GT-S '97?

Tried out a few new cars today (the ones in bold). I think I have now driven about every premium MR normal car from 1979 or earlier on this track. :) Still having lots of fun, more cars soon! :P

The surprise of the day was most definately the Mazda RX500 (screenshot below), it looks kinda crap on the rear but what a pleasure to drive! Second most fun drive would be the Ferrari Dino 246 GT. On the bottom of the fun list is the Lancia Stratos, I just hate that car with a passion. :P

Yes, but I had to apply this tune, because the car is kind of tricky when stock :nervous: :

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ull-x2014-junior.291084/page-102#post-9923626

With 450 PP, I finished third, 4 seconds behind the Ford GT. A good pilot would make it. Anyway...:sly: I added some power parts, put the power limiter back to 100 % and had a short win at 501 PP. :)

Thanks. 👍 I tried Praiano's tune and as usual, it was excellent. With his tunes, I pretty much know what to change to suit my driving style.... But this MR2 was the worst one for me to figure out. After deciding to go with a 521 PP tune, I added weight to the nose, increased rear toe, decreased rear brake sensitivity, increased front brake balance, put back brake balance at zero, decreased front spring rate and made two small changes to the LSD Acceleration and torque. Just a few changes to suit my grandpa style of racing. Praiano is probably pulling his hair out and cussing me out after reading what I did to his tune! Sorry!

Not a great time... But hey, it's a win. Out of all the cars in GT6 I've tried, I can honestly say the MR2 '97 has been the hardest car to tune to suit my style of racing.

Reading your post put a big smile on my face, imagining Mr. P. pulling his hair out . Sure he'll forgive you.

But.... Do I have to have an asterisk (*) next to my win with the Lotus Europa Special '72, because I didn't have to face the Zonda, Miura, Countach or GT40? 💡 The rabbit was a very slow, Esprit Sport 350...

View attachment 311382
No way you won end of story!! Bravo. I does not matter here or in real racing and no asterisk needed!! I have won a race when the other guy crashed and there was no asterisk next to my win.

This circuit is great fun in this configuration. I got inspired by this thread to give the MR2 GT-S 97' a run. Its a pretty spooky handling car to begin with, it is just plain scary when tuned to 520ish PP.
The RenaultSport Clio V6 00' is also worth a go, if you are feeling in the tip-toe throttle, snap oversteer kinda mood!

This was fun! I haven't ran reverse in awhile. Couldn't hack it with my Dino. Second was my best. Gave it a go with my NSX Type R. Finished second vs. a GT40 and lost by .3xx. Next time around it was a Miura rabbit and I won it on the last quarter of the final lap. That was fun!

What is the position of the Miura if you include it and also the 'Rocket' Love it but don't have the tune for this track. 👍

What is the position of the Miura if you include it and also the 'Rocket' Love it but don't have the tune for this track. 👍

I would love to give it a go with it but I don't have the Miura yet sadly (or any car that's over 2 mill credits). I bought the game in december 2013, barely played it then due to RL activities and about a month ago started playing it again. The Rocket is at 7:36.706 in the list but I only did one attempt with it (which was even right after the unstable Cizeta V16T) so I'm sure I can still improve several seconds on it. Once I'm done trying new MR cars I'll probably do reruns of the best & most fun cars for better comparison (and start earning some credits because now most of it goes into buying & upgrading cars :P).

I don't use proper tunes for this track either so if you want to easily compare with my results I always do the following:

1) Buy a new MR normal car if not yet in my garage (I only buy premium cars, I don't care for the rest for now)
2) Buy every upgrade for it under car settings, buy or select SH tires if not yet installed.
3) Always install aero kit, flat floor & 'other' parts if they are available.
4) Install a 'custom' (factory) spoiler (not generic spoiler or real custom spoiler) but only if it looks good, usually I prefer the ones in body colour or the ones that don't look too generic or not plain silly or way over the top.
5) Add custom wheels unless the stock ones looks really good (some Ferrari's or classics). Paint body/wheels/calipers.
6) Always change oil & improve body rigidity.
7) Go back into car settings. If pp is over 580, start lowering it by unselecting power upgrades and limiting engine power. I usually keep all weight upgrades, they are more efficient. To the left side there is a value weight/power ratio or something, I always try to keep this value as low as possible, for the 580 pp cars it can be anything between roughly 1,50 and 2,50. I swap around different upgrades and check how this influences this number. But it varies a lot per car, for some cars this value is better with engine stage 3 and no turbo at all, for other cars it can be the opposite (engine stage 1 or 2 and then high rpm turbo installed).
8) I set downforce to max if I installed a spoiler, leave everything under LSD & suspension at the default values (after buying the highest upgrade earlier).
9) For the gearbox after doing the power upgrade or capping at 580 pp I hit "reset to default settings" again since those upgrades influenced the gears. Then I just grab the value with speed and I bring it down to about 200-220 kph for slower cars or 220-240 kph for faster cars.
10) Take the car to the event. Usually I do the event once or twice. If I feel I did a decent job and/or I don't like the car too much I leave it at one attempt. If I made some serious errors (usually involves going off track :P) or I like the car a lot, or I saw on the individual lap times of the first attempt that each lap I was gaining a lot of time, I give it a second try. Sometimes if I'm still not happy and feel I can still improve several seconds I do a 3rd run.

That's just my own basic way of upgrading and (barely) tuning a car without caring to take the max out of it, I have no clue how suspension or LSD tuning works so I don't bother with it for now. I have won gold on several time trial events like this as well but sometimes I just need a proper tune and then grab one online from the expert tuners. :)

The Garaiya '02 can make the job with 475PP, very few power parts must be added (exhaust sport, computer sport, maybe an oil change, I don't remember that). Bone stock otherwise. A very good surprise, great handling. I must admit that I had to block the Zonda before the finish line... ;)

There is another approach you might want to try. Run the car unmodified first. Figure out it's strengths and weaknesses and then modify it to target the specific weaknesses.

Well when I started playing GT6 I had this mindset that an upgraded car is probably better than a not upgraded car so this is how I started playing, just blindly assume that the best a particular car could get was to purchase all of its upgrades. For this particular event I have a similar approach, its a fun track with 580 pp limit so I try to bring as many cars to the 580 pp limit as possible and see how they compare.

I really do like the style you suggest as well but it's more a car-approach than a track-approach I assume. You just grab a car from a dealer and drive around in stock, then depending on how it handles you decide which parts to upgrade and how to tune it, probably also get a pretty decent idea in which pp-range this car would ideally be situated. Sadly I don't have the experience nor the patience yet to do this but I really do envy those expert tuners who are good at this. :) For GT7 however I plan to do the same, hopefully by then I have a lot more tuning & upgrading experience from GT6 which will help me there.

For the time being, here is another update of my list. :)

I think I used about all MR premium normal cars in the game now with the exception of the Miura (15 mill credits) and that chrome line Jag (20 mill credits). I'm also missing 2 price cars, the Citroen GT and the Ferrari Scuderia which I don't plan to buy from the vendors for the obvious reason.

The next days I plan to redo the event with cars I already tested so this means no more car/upgrading purchases anymore. I really hope at some point I will get the 15 or 20 mill to buy the Miura or the Jag. If I have to decide to buy only one of them, which one would you recommend?

Focus for next time :
- Drive both KTM X-BOWs and the LCC Rocket again because I only did the event once with them and I feel I can improve a lot with them.
- Redo all 3 Ford GT's again because their placement seems a bit weird now.
- Redo the Tesla a few times and see if I can beat 8:00 as well. :)
- Redo some of the earlier cars again like the Huayra and the MP4-12C.

Get the Jag 👍 The Miura is good but the Jag is better, that's just my opinion :D I'm having fun with this event too! using different cars and not to mention the Credits that I'm racking up. :mischievous:

Ok I was hoping the Jag would be better since it looks cooler. :) Post some times from your races as well, it could give me some extra motivation to improve mine. :P

I won with the XBow street the other day. Early this morning I was using the Mark I 66 and I got in a zone I had caught the rabbit and my wife woke up and started calling me which threw me off after that because I spun out on the next to last turn and I couldn't recover. :banghead::banghead: I am going to try it again later today. At first I didn't like this track because I didn't have a lot time with this reverse course but now I am starting to enjoy it as raced it on more.
