By the replay in post #41, there's a period about 26 sec. before start is included in the total time. If this is constant, than I calculated the average lap time of WhossierGirl and his (or her?) VW is about 2:09.

If so, the time is not far off. But it's done by 500pp FF hatch back? Wow. Hard to believe, even though I'm only a mediocre driver.

(I did 2:05-2:07 in 600pp R390 road car, and got a close win under the thread of Huyra, Mclaren F1 and TVR Speed 12)

Have you seen @WhoosierGirl times in the TTs ? This is a seriously fast racer we are talking about here:) And has some pretty radical tunes as well:tup: a screen shot was also posted , what more do we need ? :boggled:

Yea, I tried it and couldn't even come close. At that PP level, it just doesn't have enough horsepower, plain and simple.

@joeledward Yes, I am aware that she is a good driver, but she is hardly an alien. Furthermore, yea she posted a screen shot. All that proves is that she won the race. Doesn't back up her claim of winning it at 500 PP. I would say its possible with the car maxed out, but no way at 500 PP. Like I said, at that PP level, the car simply doesn't have enough HP.

Slow AI? Haven't you encountered Huyra, Mclaren F1 and TVR Speed 12 ? They catch up like mad and ram my butt at the speed of more than 290kph in the straight, trying to push me off the track.

I feel this is different (easier) than the last two expert races because AI goes slowly in the hills so with a car that handles decently, you can pick off many of them in one lap. Of course you still need to watch the mirrors in the heavy braking zones.

If you run GT6/Career/International A's World Touring Car Championship in either 550PP (600PP limit)...
or 600PP (650PP limit) Bathurst races with a car well below the PP limit that is slower...

...the AI will crawl up your tail & ram on the straights prior to Griffins/Quarry bend, and into the Chase.
They will rear-end you going into the Esses coming down from Skyline if they catch up to you braking.

So its not new AI behavior unique to this seasonal TT, and the AI is also much slower on the mountain.
A good handling car well below the PP level can win, providing you are defensive at end of straights.

Stay out of the way, let them pass if you can't out brake them, tuck in behind, & nail them coming out. :)

I asked for proof and said that I didn't believe it. I never called her a liar or a fake, not even indirectly. That would be another one of your deliberate misconceptions for the sole purpose of trying to make me out as the bad guy again :rolleyes:. You're putting words in my mouth that I never said. :rolleyes: And, if she gets all butt hurt and doesn't post here again just because someone asked for proof of her claim, then that's on her, it won't be the end of the world.

Furthermore, I don't need you scolding me on what's rude and inappropriate. I only asked for proof of a claim, a claim I am finding hard to believe. Its not the first time someone asked for proof of something around here.
 
Nimble cars are always fast at Bathurst and always have been, since Mini's were beating 400HP V8's back in the 60's

500+ HP and SH tyres in this event
I might tune my BRZ to 500pp and see if i can win it, because it IS a quick car across the top.
 
Alright, so I cheated a little bit. Before I entered this event I took my Ferrari 458 Italia onto Bathurst in Arcade Mode and ripped about 10 laps by myself. I figured, for the Expert Level race I might need it since I'm just starting to do these races without the Driving/Braking Line turned on. I got my Gold Trophy on my first race. I did rear-end someone in 4th place at the last turn before the finish line on a lap and I had a big mishap (more my fault than the AI being crazy) at the beginning of the hill climb on lap 2. I got lucky. The AI wasn't nearly as bad for me as it was for some of you. Don't worry, I'm sure it will be the next time I run this race! :yuck:

I was planning on running with Ridox's 458 Italia GT3 Replica Tune, but I changed my mind and switched to Praiano's 600PP tune. I was only rockin' 597PP though because I didn't do an oil change (I hate that it increases PP as high as it does, but thats just me!) I won with an 11:45 overall time,if I am remembering correctly. The reason I switched to Praiano's tune is because I felt his suspension setup was better suited for this race. Remember, I thought I was going to be experiencing a demolition derby based on some of these posts here. LOL! Praiano's maxed Ride Height was beautiful here. I could fly right over the striped curbing like nothing and it came in handy this race. The GT3 Replica Tune had me all twisted up if I grazed those curbs.

Personally, I see no issue in asking new members to prove a time when they have no reputation.

But directly calling out a respected member of the community in public when they have demonstrated their speed on numerous occasions isn’t on IMO. @WhoosierGirl TT results show she would be upper D1B to lower D1S if she ran the WRS qualifier... so maybe not an alien, but only a level below.

A PM might have been a better way to handle it.

I’m sure she’ll be happy to send you a replay and the tune to ‘clear her name’.

If WhoosierGirl is as good a driver as her time indicates that it is, I don't see why this should be a big issue. I myself have a tuned VW Scirocco, it is maxed out at 529PP (I could get it upto 535PP if I did an oil change) and I came a respectable 4th on this seasonal, I had a fast driver from my thread test my car (and I am pretty sure that WhoosierGirl is faster than him still) and he came 2nd pushing my car to its limits. I know for a fact, WhoosierGirls tune is better than mine on this particular car so i don't doubt what she claims. Leave the women alone. She's only doing what we all do which is post tunes which are capable of getting gold.

Remember folks, its a game.. Meant to be fun.. :)

Btw everyone should try the Sirocco '10 its one of the best handling cars I have tried on this track . Also won at 500 PP but not near @WhoosierGirl 's time. I can see how 5 TT laps could bring you that time though, and some skill, luck moving though the traffic.

Doing 2:14-16 laps on 1st try , laying sideways on couch....2:09 possible.

Whoosier tune please?

Having fun. Just won all 3 in VW Scirocco R '10 @500pp 390BHP. Bathurst took me two attempts. First time in lead on lap 4 and got shoved on last lap thru chicane and finished 3rd. It can be done at 500pp.:D

Yea, you're going to have to produce a video or something if you expect me to believe you won this race in that VW at only 500 PP. The best combination I could come up with in the 500 PP range was around 410 HP and that is just not going to get it here. I couldn't even catch the lead 3 cars. The closest I got was around 15 seconds of them, not even close. So, unless I am a total retard here and am totally missing something, I need to see further proof of your claim here.

I have used the Scirocco R to win every race that it can be entered into in career mode, won all S class races except 24 min of LeMans also, these seasonals are nothing compared to those races. I have loved this car since using it in one of the seasonals, I use a slightly modified Banditkarter setup.

I really am trying to figure out why you felt the need to repeatedly ask for proof that I did it when I already posted a picture of the results. I am a nurse and my job is to make people feel better when they are not well so, if it will make you feel better I will post a video tonight.

Just one question, do you want a video of a 500pp win or a 480pp win?
