If I receive a contentious penalty, I always check the lap and go to that point in the replay. The above examples are the ones where I still thought the penalty was unfair after viewing the replay.

I also had one on this seasonal for "colliding with a barrier". The only reason there was such a collision was due to the parked Corvette in the middle of Griffins Bend, and the Ford GT going around that. There was no room left for me and no time to stop. The resulting collision with the Corvette led to my car glancing off and into the barrier. This seemed a tad unfair to me, but also unavoidable.

The penalty general in thenSE are ridiculous!!!!
They should put this stupid think if you have like some advantage in you're lap, like take a shortcut, or siding against the wall (Nurb/Carusel)...but spining and went off the track-You leave the track, hitting full the barrier-collision with the barrier...I mean, it's just stupid stupid and stupid and annoying!!!

I'm nowhere near a great GT driver, I can always gold events but rarely find myself in the top 5,000 in ranking events. I guess people just like to mess around with tunes, ultimately :)

So with 2.4M potential GT6 racers an you're top 0.5% percent. Believe it of not you're very good.

I have loved this car since using it in one of the seasonals, I use a slightly modified Banditkarter setup.

Just one question, do you want a video of a 500pp win or a 480pp win?

Priceless, made my day in spades!

I have a HD Video Capture device...
...at your service in event you don't have access to one @WhoosierGirl.

OP has been updated with links to @BanditKarter22 tune posted back Jan '14 on Scirocco SL TT thread...
...and your tweak posted back on Suzuka A-spec thread. :)

These SE events are to easy. No real defending positions, attacking, nothing. I beat 2day the Tuscan speed 12 with my ZZII'00. The AI's are just easy to beat!

If you get a penalty, try looking at the replay using the replay and/or exterior camera.

You might find that from a 3rd person perspective, you were actually at fault. Or you might not.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It happens in sports car racing all the time.

Using my 550 McLaren 12C on sports hard I just had actually fun with the AI, probably the best I've seen from AI so far. I had to defend for 2,5 laps vs. the F1 and the Huayra and it felt almost like racing. At one point at the Chase I had the F1 right behind me, so I braked early to be prepared for a bump. The F1 pulled over inside, trying a pass but running wide. Very nice PD!

The AI seems to almost wait for you until you reach the leaders. Then they suddenly run like 15 sec a lap quicker to give you a fight. Maybe that's the best "racing" possible with the catch-the-rabbit format?
Yes, the best!

So, I took out a Scirroco R '10 because everyone else seems to be doing it! I wimped out and raced mine at 535PP. I had three major incidents resulting in penalties for me. I was able to catch up on the last lap and move passed the MP4-12C into 2nd place. When I finally overtook the Pagani Huayra at the bottom of The Esses he decided to try to ram me off the course. My hands were shaking as I held onto my wheel! LOL! I figured the only way to stay on the pavement was to back off and let him retake the lead. Needless to say, the finish was VERY intense!!! This the last 2/3s of lap 5:

EDIT: Sorry for the ghetto quality video. I don't have a capture card yet... :(

Well if you're gonna use the best car for the race with the ZZII of course it'll be easy.

It was. It all the way to 600, it was like 570 I thing. and it's not the best. Even tho it's 4x4 it it hard to drive on those sports Tyres. I've got big struggle keeping it on the track (mount panorama), I've mange to overtake the first one on the 4th lap!!

Despite that, it was to easy!

The rubberbanding is indeed strong in this one...having won in the X-Bow with a best lap of 2:15 or thereabouts, I tried a stock 12C and still only won by a few seconds despite consistently running 2:05-2:06 laps. Hmmm.

The opponents act and behave more like real players than you probably think.💡
Have you never misjudged a corner and overshot it? Have you never rammed into an opponent when they are in front of you ? Have you never pushed too hard and spun out?
I know I have done all of these things :ouch::embarrassed:

That's what makes it so much fun in my humble opinion 👍
[/quote]

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: and it was fun :D

@ WhoosierGirl, Sorry for the wrong title for you. No offense. And, well, I myself is almost getting through the mid life crisis, so I'm perfectly OK beaten by a girl.

------------

I've tried Scirorcco R, too, but with 560pp (468HP). With less power, it'd be painfully slow in the straight. After several attempts, I finally won by less than a sec and a total time of 11:53, with the best lap time about 2:15. (got 2nd place twice, failed to defend my position right before the last corner, argh~~ )

This car is wonderful in cornering, but it's an FF afterall, so I'm a bit struggling in the uphill section. Some corner exits, too, if I'm not perfectly smooth.

Then I tried 550pp Impreza NBR Package. It's even slower in the straight. Can't stand it so I tuned it to 588pp (525HP). Then it's much more comfortable. Still slower than 560pp VW in the the end of long straight, though. Helped by the excellent traction, won by a total time of 11:39, with best lap time about 2:11.

This car is much better balanced than regular Impreza, as indicated by the f/r distribution. And the AWD traction helps a lot in this track. A good choice for those who like a comfortable run rather than tough challenge.

As some might already mentioned, it seems the AIs adapt my pace and keep around. When I run 2:05, they're beside me; I do 2:11, they're also beside me; 2:15, they're still around. Funny.

I have used the Scirocco R to win every race that it can be entered into in career mode, won all S class races except 24 min of LeMans also, these seasonals are nothing compared to those races. I have loved this car since using it in one of the seasonals, I use a slightly modified Banditkarter setup.

I really am trying to figure out why you felt the need to repeatedly ask for proof that I did it when I already posted a picture of the results. I am a nurse and my job is to make people feel better when they are not well so, if it will make you feel better I will post a video tonight.

Just one question, do you want a video of a 500pp win or a 480pp win?

Well done and well said i have seen your times and your name is well up there in the boards so that in itself should be no means of being put in a place like you were....i remember way back using a tune you posted for the mitsu snow lap and that was my first time inside the top 150 and that was my first happiest moment i achieved so to you i thank you......and just a note to all, to gain respect you first have to give respect.....so to me no proof should be asked of when the respect is already there.....

Don't use the flat floor, it slows the car down to much. I use the turbo and add ballast to the front, ballast helps on the downhill sections and helps keep the tires from spinning to much on the uphill. For 480pp take off rear wing and turbo and draft, draft, draft.

Haven't had so much fun in ages with my Little Suzuki GSR/4 beating McLarens, Zondas and Lambo's. That Orange TVR is a nasty beast that loves to t-bone you into corners at over 240km/h though.

Hi WhoosierGirl, thanks for the tip. Ballast in front for a FF car is new to me. Will try.

From your stunning replay, it seems your car sits quite low. OTOH, as I looked up the tune by BanditKarter22, it looks plain and simple to me, nothing too radical. Would you mind sharing your tune? (oh, it'd be nice to have more info on the replay, especially how you use the brake... )

I've tried heavy ballast and higher HP to get similar pp, but it runs worse. Inferior in almost all aspects, not even helps in stright line speed. So I get back to light or no ballast. And I've also tried very stiff SR and very low RH, but there seems problem of bottoming out and the car judders around top speed in the straight line, also unstable under hard braking. So I raise the RH and soften and SR again...

Hats off to @WhoosierGirl for the times she can turn at 480PP/500PP!
I can tell by her RPL that she has the mountain dialed in!!
-----------------------------------------

I just ran this at 530PP tuned with @BanditKarter22's original Jan tune + power parts/turbo.
Added rear minimal wing (DF 15), front aero, no ballast, & standard brakes.

All laps & passes clean, caught up to lead rabbit L4, passed L5, then just defensive driving,
Wheel/no steering or driving aids/0 ABS. Will try to post a RPL later. RPL Posted. :)

Don't usually run FF on this track, so had to do some B/B, trans FG adjustments...
...and figure out best FFB wheel setting for FF since 1.09 made a mess of T500. :irked:

With more practice, I think I might be able to do it with 20PP or so less. :dopey:

You have to paint it pink. That has to be the secret. :D

That's creative tuning....adding ballast to an FF car to make it front heavier so it goes faster...
What conjuring sorcery is this??

@WhoosierGirl Thanks for posting the replay, and letting your driving do all the talking..."owned" the Mountain like a boss. Nice driving, good racing.

No super fast laps, just conservative steady driving...
...tried to stay off kerbs, do clean laps & passes...
...backed off passing more than once when AI closed the door.

Caught up with Pagani Huayra L4 after Griffins/Quarry Bend...
...but waited over a lap to get a nice clean pass coming into Skyline on L5.

VW Scirocco R '10 @ 530PP/no ballast, 900º wheel/no steering or driving aids/0 ABS.

Tidy driving & overtaking mate 👍 Enjoyed the video (and the editing at the start....nice touch to cast away any doubts) ;)

Kudos to your patience chasing the Pagani...beautiful racing:cheers: Thanks mate

Very impressive

I had a go at this with an untuned, 600pp Mustang Mach1 '71, and I thought it would be a more interesting finish than it was. After spinning out of the lead on lap four, I caught up to the Huyara on the last lap and then regained the lead prior to Conrod Straight. Instead of seeing the Huyara butting and nudging me through to the finish though, it seemed to sit back behind me. I then slowed down on the final mini-straight and he still didn't overtake. Odd.

Anyway, it was fun driving this car on this track. I don't believe I would have gotten away with 1st in this car on the A-Spec seasonal on Suzuka though.
